Snow, Snow, Snow.. January Tag

As promised using the same mini instructions given in a Twelve week tag challenge from last year here is my first Tag of the year. I've used the Theme of Snow which was quite apt as it did actually snow during the making of this tag and as it is using
so many lovely IndigoBlu elements i'm going to enter it in Decembers
IndigoBlu Blog Challenge Snow, Snow, Snow.

First I painted a 6" Tando Creative  tag with white gesso, then with Indigoblu Frosty Sky acrylic paint, when dry I rollered over with white acrylic paint.
The roller has left plenty of extra marks

Sweet Poppy Pearlescent White Paste was stencilled through a Clarity tree stencil

one collage piece added from Crafty Individuals Christmas miniatures book

a layer of  (VERY watered down) DecoArt Americana midnight blue paint
to make it translucent. This has really brought out the shape of the tree and added shadow.

Sprayed on Yellow paint left over from previous tag made.

White gesso stencilled through IndigoBlu mini stencil, clear gesso applied when dry.

I stamped Indigoblu Snowflakes stamp with versafine onyx black ink & embossed with stampendous white shabby chic frantage  to expand the fine detail of the stamp.

Focal collage added using an Indigoblu Large Snowflake image which I had previously stamped onto vellum with flitter glue and gilded with sheffied steel gilding flakes.
This was glued  onto the side of the tag with the waste being used on the bottom.

enhanced the large snowflake stamp with doodles & flat back pearls

Could not decide which word to use so I chose this sentence, from
IndigoBlu Grand Tour 3 A5 stamp set

... and my Tag is complete

Thank you for sharing your precious time to take a peek,
wishing you all a fantastic weekend.

Peace Dove

Designed by Sue Dix, Sweet Dixie Peace Dove stamps from Personal Impressions are so intricate, I wanted to see if the detail would still be kept using Gilding Flakes.

A 5" MDF Tag was painted in Black Gesso  when dry the Large Dove
image was stamped onto the tag using IndigoBlu FlitterGlue.

IndigoBlu Manchester Tart Gilding Flakes a beautiful mixture of coppery, silver & gold tones was applied to the stamped image with Champagne coloured Gem Stones
added to give dimension.

I coloured the Peace Dove using Posca Pens giving an almost Folk Art look in contrast
with the Black background.

The Peace Sentiment also from the Peace Dove stamp set was stamped and applied in the same way.

Gilding wax was added to the outer edge of the tag and a co-ordinating bow with gemstone.
Creating a most colourful addition to your Christmas decorations I hope you agree...?

Pugglies Adventure.... Using Sweet Dixie Zendoodle Houses & Pugglie Digital Image designed by Lindsay Mason.

Today I thought i'd share a Sun shine inspired creation using both stamp and digi image designed by Lindsay Mason. The House is from Sweet Dixie Zendoodle Houses from Personal Impressions and as you can see I have used just one stamp, adapting it to create a Beach Hut.

The image was stamped multiple times and coloured using Posca markers perfect because of their vibrancy.

Pugglie is a cute Digital Image who to me screams adventure. The image is available to purchase from Lindsay Masons Etsy Shop. The Hanky Hat is my own addition seemingly fitting with the Sea Side Theme.

Cut and pasted onto the seaside background Pugglie can be found dipping his toes in the cool sea. Apologies for the poor photo, its quite a large image and was difficult to capture everything.

Thank you for taking time to take a peek at my crafty creation. Creative Hugs from Tracey x

Home Sweet Home

Having Brain freeze working on a Wedding card for the past two weeks I needed a splash of colour in my life. Using Lindsay Mason's Sweet Dixie Stamp Range *Home Sweet Home* from personal Impressions (Product code SDCSA6040)

When I first purchased this stamp set I just knew I needed to create something Homely, Bold & Bright.

The set comprises of a delightful Home Sweet Home stamp and six quirky Houses one in particular has a rather astonished exterior... can you spot him??

I painted the background landscape using vivid Ranger Acrylic paint Dabber's then stamped onto the landscape planing where I wanted the houses to go, I then stamped the houses again onto card as these were to be coloured with alcohol markers, cut out and overlaid onto the painting. The pathways were drawn before the coloured houses were applied.

This project at present is temporarily stuck in my Art Journal as I'm not too sure whether to frame it but I thought I would share my Happy burst of colour with you anyway.
Thank you for reading my Crafty Chatter... Hugs from Tracey x
