WOYWW 612

 Hello everyone

This woodware stamp has been a good companion this year,
a nice big image to test out old pens, pencils and watercolour,
much more constructive than scribbles on paper and with a little
extra outlining it really sets those sweet gnomes off a treat...

At this rate I can see everyone I know receiving one 😁
and as both my Boys have Birthdays 2 weeks apart,
I think they will raise a smile on their special day..

Had a good clean up of this desk when I got home yesterday,
scraping off paint splodges and splatter after a messy weekend.
Don't you just hate it when your creative area is mess free
and then an idea comes to mind just before bedtime..??

Making use of some twisted wire and bits and bobs found
at the bottom of a bag full of over tipped what nots..
Got to make good of every scrap!!

That's what's on my workdesk.

Look forward to seeing what's on yours.

Stay safe & creative

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #138 ~ Anything Goes

 Hello creative friends,

It's time for a new Paperbabe Stamps blog challenge
this fortnight it's everyone's favourite Anything Goes..

Come play along with the challenge and share
your *Anything Goes* creations HERE

Today i'm sharing a page from my fabric journal, decorated in a
mixture of media left over from previous Paperbabe creations.

Collaged with die cut Art Doll Vintage Papers, snippets of Stamped Faces
framed and painted with Aleesia style hair. Paste pushed through various
Paperbabe stencils creates texture and interest in vacant spaces where
I've played with paint adding gold and silver metallics into the mix.

The sentiment *Make your Mark* is stamped using the
Fun Alphabet Outline stamp set painted in Bronze .

Delightful thing's

 Hello Creative Friends,

I've been discovering lots of stamped, coloured and cut images
recently that never quite made it to page. When I came across an
unfinished journal page displaying a huge pair of stencilled gold
scissors I thought this selection would sit so prettily upon it..

Edged with lace, pearls and a metal button it's like a gathering of
Spring where I love to paint, sew and sow delightful thing's outdoors.

Wishing you all a safe, happy
and creative weekend

Take care
Tracey xx

Woyww #610

 Hello everyone,

Wednesday desk sharing day again @ the stamping ground

The clean up continues taking time to pen test, no good having tools
to hand if they don't make marks and those used for mixed media are
worked a lot harder than those extra special ones hidden behind me.

Now there's half a dozen toppers to find cards for,
more things to add to the *To do* list this weekend..

Amidst the clean up I found a tin of hand carved stamps from 2018/19
encouraged to "have a go" by Donna Gray a fab quirky stamp carver.
The Hare/Rabbit I remember using on Easter envelopes in 2019.

Blog buddy Alison has challenged herself to carve one a day in the
100 day's project, seeing Alison's has definitely encouraged me to
keep these to hand, they don't take up much space after all..
Thanks Alison x

Look forward to seeing what's on your workdesks.

Stay safe, creative and
take care of each other.

*Keeping Shaz & Doug in our healing thoughts*

Creative Artiste ~ February Challenge #68

 Hello Creative Friends

Welcome to Creative Artiste's

This month I have an altered notebook to share with you BUT
before I do may I say I lost a whole weekend early January
cutting and water colouring these stunning colorize blooms,
my main focal this month and I loved every second of it..

I digress.. oopps now where was I..?
Oh yes onto those altered notebook how to do's..

First covering a plain notebook in Kraft card embossed using Tim Holtz
Texture Fades 3-D Typewriter folder, I dry brushed with black gesso
adding a tickle of gilding wax to highlight those typewriter keys.

There's not many mixed media creations of mine that escape without
the addition of lace and when teamed up with pearls it just adds to
the romance.. The strawberries and champagne of mixed media.. 😊

Cutting out individual letters from the embossed Typewriter folder
I chose to spell the word noted as my intention for this book
was to use it to document and sketch creative ideas.

Layered leaves, buds and rose with twisted wire and bead
stems it just brought everything together harmoniously..

Complete with it's pearl & glass heart junk jewellery bookmark
roll on spring so we can enjoy those pretty blooms for real !!..

Thank you for taking time to stop by today.

I hope you maybe inspired to mix it up and share your
Mixed Media creations with the Creative Artiste Team HERE

Take care everyone

Creative wishes

Woyww #609

 Hello everyone,

How you all doing?

First Wednesday desk share of 2021
sneaking in the backdoor over @ the stamping ground
think I might just make it before Thursday if I hurry..😊

Busy in the background of January any spare time was taken up re-organising
my creative space, fixing broken things, revamping storage for tiny spaces
and working on some promised things i'd just not got around to...

The sorting out stage can be very uninspiring.. booo

What to do with the pile of.. I NEED IT ALL..?

Found a couple of 3D embossed panels crushed amongst it,
a wash of ink makes them much more respectable..

Lots of snow last week, Freya tried sneaking snowballs home after walkies.

Nice to sit and enjoy an early morning cuppa before another day begins

With the rapid roll out of the Covid Vaccine's in my area it's been an
important job for me during January to get people to their destination..

Take care everyone
I'll catch up with you all asap.

Stay safe
Tracey xx
