Creative Artiste #129 ~ Anything Mixed Media Goes Challenge

Hello Creatives

First Friday of the month so it's time to share a project for

As another heatwave is set to melt the UK i'm taking you
all to the beach today.. not literally of course 😊

On a summer sky painted background I scraped sand coloured texture
paste making feet impressions in the sand by pressing in stamps
from the Inkylicious shoreline stamp set whilst the paste was wet.

When dry I stamped and embossed the shoreline, adding paint
dots, dabs and flicks to the sky to enhance the atmosphere..

Embellished with coordinating lace, sequin trim and machine stitch
top to bottom, I pondered for a while unsure what word or quote to
pair up with the scene...

Having found a bag full of beach bracelets in a suitcase that
my Children used to collect whilst on holiday the word
Tranquill came very much to mind...

**Happy Days**

Come dip your toes in and share your Mixed Media creativity with the

Simply Lovely Again..!!

Hello Creative Friends

Another Summertime show of recent Alison Bomber stamps by
PaperArtsy.. The Hydrangea is one of my favourites and in
real time they lap up the sun even during a heatwave..

Stamped and embossed on a watercolour tag scrap I coloured with
watercolour and pencil stamping text to fill the bare background.

With a craft knife I carefully cut around random leaves to lift
and add dimension popping dots of glitter glue in each centre
as that's where the Hydrangea flower magic really happens

Co-ordinating buttons and lace embellish with a trio of machine
stitch colour edges it all.. simply lovely again 😊

Stay safe & creative everyone

We Love Stamping July Challenge ~ *Summertime*

Friday, 10 July 2026

Simply Lovely...

 Hello Creative friends

It's been a while since I've treated myself to newly released stamps
when I saw the Paperartsy sets from Alison Bomber I couldn't resist.

Just look at this delightful rose, stamped and fussy cut..
The roses are really in full bloom this Summertime.

On an Aall & Create die cut tag filled with offcuts, torn
papers and washi there's paste pushed through a TH flourish
stencil brayered with vanilla paint and random text stamped
around that texture. Edged with gold I find it's a go to
colour combo of mine, a vintage favourite that loves
a tickle of pastel blue or pink.. 🫠

Stay safe and take care especially if your dealing with
yet again another heatwave like myself here in the UK..

 Happy crafting

Creative Artiste #128 ~ Anything Mixed Media Goes

 Hello Creative Friends

It's Anything Mixed Media Goes @

A just for fun piece and a trip down memory lane..

July was an exciting month as a child, the end
of the school year, six weeks of holiday, outdoor play
and family holidays... Taking the long route down to
Devon/Cornwall admiring the stunning scenery..

My page consists of paint splodges and scrapes,
and painted scene with stencilled sun and rays.
The car is a TH wacky transport die, cut and layered
multiple times, very similar to my dear great uncles🤣

Art yarn and lace add dimension with hand embroidered flowers
resembling the bank of Heathers seen along the way..

*Happy Days*

Hope to see your mix up of media creations @
Anything Mixed Media Goes...

Plenty more to see from the Design Team HERE
pop on over and show them some love...

Stay safe & Creative

Celebrate something today..

Hello Creatives

What a rollercoaster few weeks it has been..

I really think this post should have been titled
*Create* something today rather than Celebrate,
with a mountain of unfinished makes I share a
project (now finished) that I didn't get chance
to complete for Creative Artiste this month 😞

Time has been so sooo squeezed..

Created using unused Tim Holtz die cuts and
Stamperia greyboard, painted with PaperArtsy Fresco's
the postcard sits on a paint smudged journal page.
Framed with Stampers Anonymous Observations
cogs and gears stamp, embellished with washi,
machine stitch and lace.

With a nod to father figures on Fathers Day Today
there sits a Tim Holtz Paper Doll wearing his Party Hat
whilst the wise Tracy Evans Owl watches on high.

I'll leave you with a photo my Hubby took this morning..

*Blessing this Summer Solstice*

*Lets Celebrate Something Today*

Wishing you all the Happiest of Days

Stay safe & creative

Creative Artiste ~ #126 Anything Mixed Media Goes

 Hello Creative friends

Welcome to May and a new Challenge #126 @

My DT project is an ode to Vincent Van Gogh and my
own take on one of his Iris paintings from May 1889.

His own painting ABOVE speaks volumes to me,
a timeless interpretation of life and situations..

Dismissing all the blue/purple Irises I focused on
the stand alone single white in my art journal..

On a stencilled background scraped with paint the Iris is stamped
multiple times, cut and layered for dimension, painted with white
gesso and given a glittery beard it's stem and leaves are made from
old packaging, painted, coloured, cut and fashioned into shape.

Laid upon old (on the turn) coloured texture paste,
I added twisted beaded wire to ground the Iris..

Edged with stitch, washi and a strip of hand dyed
lace, gold paint lightly tickles those raised areas..

I hope we @ Creative Artiste can inspire you to share YOUR
Mixed Media Creations.. there's plenty more to see HERE..

Come share your own creativity in our May Challenge

Take care everyone

Make your own Background ~ Try it on Tuesday Guest Designer

 Hello creatives

It's always an honour to be invited to be Guest Designer
@ Try it on Tuesday. I have known these lovely creatives
for quite a number of years now and every fortnight they
NEVER fail to inspire me with their dedication
to create challenges for us every two weeks.

I hope I can inspire you with this fortnights theme

Using recycled packaging this substrate is ATC size,
covered with a layer of gesso, I smudged on acrylic
paint using my finger then scribbling on some text..

Gluing washi tape and a torn TH mixed media die cut
I smudged acrylic paint again blending those raised
areas in with the background...

Dots of embossing ink sprinkled with gold embossing powder
are heated with a heat tool.. how I love watching that
embossing powder melt and rise.

Edged with very messy machine stitch and a strip of old
lace a Penny Black Bird from the singsong set is stamped
and coloured with alcohol markers, pencil and paint.

Cut and layered on the ATC along with a TH sentiment sticker
this completes my *Backgrounds* make for Try it on Tuesday..

Please pop on over HERE and visit the
inspiring Try it on Tuesday Team.

*Thank you Lovely ladies for inviting me*

Spring is in the air

 Hello Creative Friends

Slow stitch to start a new season, using fabric scraps,
some vintage, lace embellishments with an applique flower
patch that I've given beads for stamen. At present it stands
as a journal cover a little burst of spring time inspiration.

Also a little spring time tag with a layered background of
collage, stencil and paste, tickled with PaperArtsy Paint.

I'm not sure what this flowers name is but it's from the
Stamps by me *Make Memories* stamp and die set.
Die cut and layered multiple times I think coloured in pink
it does resemble Cherry Blossom, perfect for the season..

Wishing you all good health and sunshine.

Anything Mixed Media Goes ~ Creative Artiste #124 Challenge

 Hello Creatives

It's monthly challenge time @ Creative Artiste

This wasn't what I had planned to share today but
this stamp set by Tracy Evans *Feed your Soul*
I couldn't resist purchasing as the Silver Birch
reminds me very much of the Tree
outside my Moms window..

Created with lots of stencil work, paint and paste,
the stamped image is painted with the Bird box stamped,
cut and layered multiple times on the focal flip page.

Flipped over there's more paint scrapes, pencil and
stencil first revealing a single lace lawn daisy and two
stamped birds flying high, maybe gathering materials
to start building their nest..

after months of rain flora and fauna thrive..

Spring is definitely beginning to show it's face..

Now time to share your creativity @

Anything Mixed Media Goes ~ Creative Artiste #123

 Hello Creatives

February has arrived refreshed after the break and
HERE to share my Design Team Mixed Media Creation.

Sharing my love for mixed media, I adore adding lace into my
projects, I think many of you know 😍 This journal page I've
scraped paint and paste through a stencil, sprayed distress
oxides teamed with dabs of gold paint.

My postcard topper is decorated with torn papers, layered with
rice paper remnants and washi. Repeating that stencil, paint
and paste, flat areas I stamped and machine stitched, edging
with lace, hand sewn blanket stitch and a trio of kisses.

Overlaid with a golden lace flourish, two paper cut hearts
covered with glossy accents rest safe and cosy together 💖

Myself and the Design Team hope you will share your love
of mixed media and join our February Challenge..

There's so much more inspiration to see HERE @

Happy Crafty February

Every day is a Gift...

 Hello lovely creatives

After the brightness the snow brought we've since had
nothing but drizzle, damp and darkness.. boooo!!! but
I've been blessed with a little bit of free time
this week so trying hard to kick start my mojo I've
combined a mix of new and old stash to decorate a tag.

There's tea stained doilies, torn letters and tape collaged
onto a tag, over stamped and stencilled with ink and paste.

A large embroidered flower cut from a lace fabric panel
adds opulence and romance alongside enamel hearts and
heartfelt words 😘 edged with stitch and lace...

*Every day is a Gift*

Wishing you all a bright, beautiful
and creative day Tracey xx

 Hello Creatives

our theme is always *Anything Mixed Media Goes*

Autumn arrived and my October project shows how the beauty
of the season inspires me. On a paint scraped background I
stamped script, heat embossed with gold embossing powder,
hand stitching around the edge using a variety of art yarns.

Gathered Sycamore twigs covered in Lichen are attached to the
background with fabric leaves painted and enhanced with pencil,
gilded and embellished with a mix of glass beads.

Autumn truly is an inspiration..

Creative Artiste ~ #119 September Mixed Media Challenge

Hello Creatives

Time for Mixed media challenge #119 @ Creative Artiste

September is world Alzheimer's month
as a carer this is so close to my heart, caring
for other peoples family to now my own 😢

This month I share a project created from fabric, fragments and
embellishments favourite outfit combinations of my dear Mother..

Laid out on a tea stained base I arranged the torn fabrics,
attaching with both hand and machine stitch I gathered,
frayed and embroidered extra detail..

The forget me not is cut from denim enriched with bright fabric paint.
The central eyelet is sewn with thread and attached to the panel.

Hard to choose a fitting sentiment .. this will do for now...

Please be mindful and educated on this dreadful disease
as it will touch the lives of many if not our own...

Creative Artiste March ~ #113 Anything Mixed Media Goes

 Hello Creative Friends

After a dark dank start to the year we've started to see
the beauty of Springtime and bursts of sunshine inspiring my

Creative Artiste #113 DT Mixed Media March project...

Recycled paper pieces, offcuts and embossed scraps have been
pasted into an old diary where a Spring scene has been sketched
with paint, pencil and pens...

With a watercolour wash and splatter skyline the pages have been edged
with wonky stitchery completed with a found quote to fit the scene...
Sighhh... take me there 😊

We hope you will share your mixed media creations with us HERE

Creative Artiste Challenge ~ #112 Anything Mixed Media Goes

Happy February Creative's and Welcome
to Creative Artiste first Mixed Media Challenge of 2025

Apologies I am indeed late with my new year best wishes
but care duties are keeping me exceptionally busy...

I'm so glad I managed to put together a DT project for

Here's what I created and those *did's to do's ...

On an old Gel plate scrap I added strips of torn washi tape
and pushed modeling paste through a stencil, highlighting
with gilding wax when the paste was completely dry.

Stamped onto a found fragment of tea stained linen
I decorated with lace, buttons, machine stitch and
three hand stitched woolen yarn kisses...

Topped with a dry felted heart crafted using Tracy Evans
snippet stencil which acted as both a guide and template
I embellishing the completed heart with golden beads.

Edging the journal page with very messy machine stitch in a
high contrasting colour this concluded my Mixed Media Make.

I loved creating this project full of love in so many ways...

I hope you find time to create some mixed media moments
and please do come and share with the Design Team

Pop on over HERE to see more inspiration from the Team
along with two Guest Designers and to welcome our
newest Design Team Member Emma 😊

Take care everyone
stay safe and creative
