January days and nights... appreciate everything

 Hello Creatives 

Best wishes to you all for 2026 

Our first week has brought freezing temperatures, 

snow, ice and storm Goretti ...

Those freezing nights I've taken advantage of a little slow stitching...

finishing a hand felted oak leaf embellished with embroidery and beads

completing a tactile cover for my new 2026 journal

First page I share a mix of media, using paints, die cuts, 

pastes, pencil and pen...

depicting the scene outside my window after my dog and I have 

taken advantage of making our own marks in the snow.. 

Love the crunch of footsteps through fresh snow 😊

 Hello Creatives 

Welcome to Creative Artiste's October challenge #120 

our theme is always *Anything Mixed Media Goes* 

Autumn arrived and my October project shows how the beauty 

of the season inspires me. On a paint scraped background I 

stamped script, heat embossed with gold embossing powder, 

hand stitching around the edge using a variety of art yarns.

Gathered Sycamore twigs covered in Lichen are attached to the 

background with fabric leaves painted and enhanced with pencil, 

gilded and embellished with a mix of glass beads. 

Autumn truly is an inspiration..

Creative Artiste ~ #110 November Anything Mixed Media Goes

Hello lovely creative friends.. 

Time for Novembers Creative Artiste post #110.. 

our challenge theme is *Anything Mixed Media Goes*

My 2024 art journal is getting quite full so here's a page from it 

whilst I work out a better way of keeping this years pages together.

 

Stencilled and acrylic painted background a big full moon 

shines through torn paper strips dragged along an ink pad. 

They remind me so much of silver birch tree's as the 

light of the moon catches the white space.. 

 

The funky fox I stamped onto fabric and followed the lines 

of the image creating an embroidered patch colouring in with 

lots of fussy stitching using just a needle and threads..

A warm welcome to Creative Artiste's May Challenge #93 

where our theme is always *Anything Mixed Media Goes*

This May I share three ATC's created using paper collage 

and fabric scraps. Each fashioned into a mini scene with 

beads and die cuts, fabric paint washes, posca pen doodles 

along with hand sewn and free motion embroidery detail.

Bumper Edition..!! New Paperbabe Stamps and Blog Challenge..

 Hello Creative Friends 

Three new Paperbabe stamp sets are due for release on 30th July 

including Hand Written, Mystic Adornments and Mini Hands. 

Each set works in harmony together and cleverly co-ordinates 

with many other Paperbabe stamps in the collection.

Here's a Bumper sample introduction.. 

First using just two Hand stamps and a Hand Written stamp quote..

Manipulating two clear hand stamps curving around the heart surrounded 

by quotes from the Hand Written stamp set and the other with just one 

simple hand holding a message of unity in a clean and simple style. 

Combining stamps from all three sets the postcard design inspired me to 

stamp, hand embroider and create a needle tag book with calico and thread. 

Just a handful of samples using the NEW RELEASE STAMPS.

Creative Artiste ~ March Mixed Media Challenge #80

 Hello Creative Friends 

Welcome to Creative Artiste's March Challenge #80 

our theme is always *Anything Mixed Media Goes*

This month my Design Team project uses fabric remnants, with a focal 

Daffodil cut from card, stitched and painted. A wool wrapped curtain 

ring represents the Corona or more commonly known trumpet. With hand 

woven button as the stamen it makes a bright statement of Spring.

The fabric scrap background is embellished with beads, stray threads, 

sequins, lace and buttons, all drawn together with needle and thread 

in both machine stitch and hand embroidery...

I loved watching it's design immerge and grow, 

it's incredibly tactile and so cheerful...

Turned into a mini wall quilt a gift for Mother's Day 

I hope my Mom will find it uplifting all year round.

What ever your creative choice of medium, be it a mix of fabric remnants 

embellished like my own. Paper, paint and stencils on a Journal background 

ATC's, mixed media cards, Tags or inventive altered projects we'd love
