Guest Designer @ Try it on Tuesday ~ Feminine

 Hello Creative Friends,

Always an honour to be invited to be Guest Designer
@ Try it on Tuesday and a real pleasure to accept.

With their new fortnightly Theme of *Feminine*,
there's many ways to interpret that one single word.

For me something Feminine is soft and gentle..

This studio light stamp is so graceful with layered flowers,
and a little lace. It's busy background was replaced using
texture paste through a Stamperia Cosmos astronomy and
numbers stencil. Painted in delicate pastels ties
everything together so peacefully .

The Try it on Tuesday Team will love seeing your take
on their Feminine theme right HERE, they give the
warmest of welcomes and inspiration galore
from the super talented TioT design team.

BIG Thank you's from me...

Sacred Sunday

Hello everyone,

an impromptu post from me this evening having sheltered
from the storms today, I hope friends in the UK are safe
it's been fierce in so many areas.

So huddled indoors, lost in the moment there was so much thrown
at this tag. Using stencils, pastes, flicked and dripped paint
and a rich rusty red heart as the focal, it shows off that super
thin heart rhythm taken from Tim Holtz Heartbeat die..

Unconvinced after lunch that this was finished
there just seemed to be something missing..?

some found cogs and gears should fix it..

now that's kick started that heart.. I'm happy now 😊

The poor light today really doesn't show this tags true colours
but it was good to have a much needed play day and share the love.

Take care everyone & stay safe.

WoywW #556

Happy Wednesday everyone,

Time for a mid week meet up with creative friends as I share
what's on my work desk this Wednesday over @ the Stamping Ground
courtesy of Julia our host it's WoywW #556

Today's desk I confess is yesterday's as I found a bag
full of markers and decided to see if any were salvageable.
Testing on an image stamped from a Stamps by Me set
most of those markers were still pretty juicy.. Hurrah!!

If any one is a Create & Craft Club Member that stamp set is
January's Club Gift & at £2.99 it's worth every penny I think.

Here's one of the cards I managed to finish using those markers.
I really like how the sentiment hides amongst the flora...

I'm sharing this one with the lovely ladies over @ Try it on Tuesday

Busy Wednesday for me as I make the most of a free day.
Time to move more of my stash into my Daughter vacant room.

I'm sure Freya will keep me company 😁

Thank you for your kind words last week regarding the migraines
they've been a lot less this week, not sure if it's the new glasses
or the limited online time but the day on day off seems to be working.

Look forward to seeing what's on your work desks.

It's Hot, Hot, Hot... Guest Design spot at Try it on Tuesday.

Hello Creative Friends,

It's lovely to be back as Guest Designer over at
Try it on Tuesday. Honoured again to be invited
let me share a piece I created for this fortnights
theme HOT, HOT, HOT...!!

Whilst thinking of idea's I came across a superb stamp and a
piece of calico i'd pasted this magnificent Tiger napkin to.
With the intention of creating a cushion, time was sadly
not on my side so it led me to my back up plan...

Masking the edges of an A3 journal page I scraped on fibre paste and
gesso using the pot as a template to create a sun within this scene.

Acrylic inks of reds and yellows are dripped and sprayed with
water then left to find their own way across the textured page.
Love how the gesso acts as a resist leaving areas of white space.

With the fabric stamped image cut out and glued along the horizon
I added warmth to the sun using orange to compliment that red sky.

Separating and gluing more Tiger napkins to card I was able
to cut out sections for layering to help create dimension.

A Tiger's markings have always fascinated me with it's unmistakable
stripes and those white spots at the back of it's ears... remarkable.

Pasting a base layer of napkin onto the journal scene tall grasses
are painted in before layering up those magnificent markings. .

Carefully removing the masking tape when
finished leaves a clean crisp border edge

with some hand made washi tape to use at a later date.

Stippling in an extra cloud everything flows so much better in three's...
My Hot, Hot, HOT.. journal page is complete...

With climate change and deforestation this piece could almost
conceal a message as those animals all shelter under the same tree..

With thanks to all over @ TioT
I know they would love you to join them
and share your Hot, Hot, Hot creations...

Sending creative Hugs
& wishes your way

Busy Bee's and WoywW #534

Hello Everyone..

I've been away camping for the week but it's
nice to be back sharing my desk this Wednesday
thanks to our host Julia over at the stamping ground..

I'd forgotten just how out of control this area is
hardly an inch spare to squeeze in and create!

Here's what's amongst one pile, a batch of Bee cards
stamped and coloured with a variety of sentiments.

Sat in the garden early morning with a cuppa,
this card will be flying off to a friend today
but I thought i'd share it up close with you and the ladies
over at TioT and their In my Garden there is challenge first.

Look forward to catching up with you all and seeing
WOYWW in between wading my way through the washing..

What's on your workdesk Wednesday #520 10th Anniversary

Hello creative Friends,

Today's an extra special day over at the stamping ground
as WOYWW #520 celebrates it's 10th Anniversary.

Three cheers to JULIA.. Hip hip hooray..
hip hip hooray, hip hip HOORAY!!..

I've only been part of the WOYWW gang for a Year but it's warm
welcome made me feel like i'd been there from the very start.

Caught this little critter munching on early morning nibbles,
he must have got word there's a party going on.. 😁

My desk has barely changed since last week so no *ATC
swaps from me but there's an ATC card ready for posting
to our amazing host Julia later today.

I think the words sum up this Wednesday gathering perfectly..

A door that's always open, safe with a welcoming hug.
Home is where the heart is and where our story begins...

I'm also sharing this with the lovely ladies over at Tiot
who are just as welcoming and also celebrating their
10th Anniversary..! Congratulations lovelies... Lets Party!!

Still busy with life stuff limiting my online time
but it's a migraine free week so far... YAY!!

I'll be round to see WoywW asap.

TioT Winter Wonderland ~ Guest Designer

Hello Creative Friends.

I'm delighted to be back as a Guest Designer over at Try it on Tuesday
and with the countdown to Christmas now on this fortnights theme is...

Here's what I created along with those How to do's..

Using a mini clipboard i'd covered in Holly collage paper and washi tape I
Stamped script and pushed paste through stencil words to add dimension.

Altering the clip with grunge paste I reattached it to the board
adding a wash of walnut stain all over the clipboard to create age.

Stash pattern papers were used to die cut, Holly, Mistletoe and Fir
branches, coloured and shaded with a combination of pens and ink.

Those die cut Holly leaves really accessorise the collage board
along with a handful of flat back pearls and dots of embossing powder.

Mistletoe, Fir branches and wire wrapped pearls are all tied
together with a little red bow adding feature to the clip.

Unloved paper stash has been die cut using the largest die from TH Stacked
Deckle set to create blank notelets/Card Toppers and Tags ready to decorate
and give as a token of appreciation or label a given gift.

Stamped, embossed and embellished, one I've painted in black Gesso
creating a changeable Chalkboard... How many more sleeps??

Many toppers amongst this pile await their Christmas card completion..
Here's a couple created using double sided sticky tape & a Holiday word die.

A dab of mica powder rids that excess sticky tape creating a *Twofer*
Two toppers, tags or notelets from one die.. Now that I like..

With a die cut December Topper embellished with left over Holly Leaves
it's created a great cover to hide all those Christmas toppers within it.

Think I just might have to create an all year round one of these..
as it would be invaluable to have a ready made card topper to hand.

Please pop on over HERE and see what the creative
TioT team have created for you this fortnight.

I'm sure you will all have some Winter Wonders to share.

Wishing you all a wonderful week and
a BIG Thank you to the TioT Gang for having me.
It's been a pleasure..

Creative Wishes

One for the Boys...

Happy Sunday to all those special male figures out there.

I don't get chance to join in with many blog challenges anymore
but needing a quick male card this week reminded me of the

Inspired by Yvonne's creation from the TioT DT
this IndigoBlu stamp was perfect for it's purpose.

Simply stamped onto watercolour card a scene has been
created around it with glitter glue adding a speck of sparkle.

I'm sure there will be lots of boy cards flying around today..

Happy Sunday Hugs
and enjoy your day.
