WoywW #627

 Hello everyone,

Desk sharing day @ the stamping ground
let me start by sharing some happy mail I received from our
hostess Julia. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness,
just the boost I needed after a tiring week, I love them 😘

So what's on my workdesk this Wednesday..??

Finished and framed those needlework pieces shown last week.
They are patterns from Rowandean Morti, I know the first can be
found in Katrina Wittens Landscapes & Flowers embroidery book.

apart from that there's been plenty of this when care duties are done.
Those aquarel studiolight flower books are a great way chill out after
a busy day and it's a treat to be sat outside in my blooming garden.

Thank you for your kind words last week regarding my MIL,
she's still on a very slow road to recovery.

Take care everyone &
Happy WoywW...

Guest Designer @ Try it on Tuesday ~ Feminine

 Hello Creative Friends,

Always an honour to be invited to be Guest Designer
@ Try it on Tuesday and a real pleasure to accept.

With their new fortnightly Theme of *Feminine*,
there's many ways to interpret that one single word.

For me something Feminine is soft and gentle..

This studio light stamp is so graceful with layered flowers,
and a little lace. It's busy background was replaced using
texture paste through a Stamperia Cosmos astronomy and
numbers stencil. Painted in delicate pastels ties
everything together so peacefully .

The Try it on Tuesday Team will love seeing your take
on their Feminine theme right HERE, they give the
warmest of welcomes and inspiration galore
from the super talented TioT design team.

BIG Thank you's from me...

What's on your Wednesday Workdesk #592

 Hello everyone,

hope you are all keeping well ?

Desk sharing day again over @ the stamping ground and a
midweek meet up to show and tell what's on our workdesks.

The past week has been a busy one but did manage to catch a couple of hours
to sit and colour stamped images from Tracy Easson's new stamp collection.

Played with a freebie Studiolight stamp received a few weeks ago.
I'm always impressed when an image stamps first time onto hammered
card without losing any of the detail, the linework is ultra fine.

Made a boo-boo colouring over the lines of the Purple Cyclamen 😒
probably why the white one is my fav, now all awaiting a sentiment.

Look forward to seeing what's on your workdesk.

Stay safe & creative

Creative Artiste *October* Mixed Media Challenge* #65

 Hello Creative Friends,

It's October Challenge time @ Creative Artiste
where each month Anything Mixed Media Goes.

If YOU love working with a mixture of mediums
come share your creativity with the team and join

This month I have created A House for all Seasons..

Here's what I got up to with wood, stamps, stencils,
pastes, die cuts and wire to name but a few...

Using two pieces of wood left over from a recent garden project,
I used an image from AALL & Create's Shuttered Window's stamped
onto rice paper ready to position exactly where I wanted.

Adhered to the wooden base I coloured and painted the image
adding liner pen and glossy accents to bring out areas of detail.

The back displays paste pushed through Tim Holtz Ironwork and
Bricked stencils, painted with distress paint, all wrapped gently with
wire ready for dressing with die cuts of ivy from the StudioLight range.

Adding texture paste to the roof painting in all those finer details
I lost myself in a creative afternoon with this piece, so I will leave
you with views from all sides and let the pictures tell it's story.

I love how the twisted wire and roving ivy envelops these sides still
allowing the texture of Tim Holtz Iron work stencil to peep through.

Words taken from Tim Holtz tiny text stamp set is a
reflective message to cherish every moment...

Shutters stamped separately I was delighted to discover each one
was a mirror image of the other enabling me to stamp both sides.

Attached either side of the arched window it gives a private yet
homely feel with it's evergreen ivy, timeless whatever the season.

Now it's your turn to create and share
your mixed media creations @

and please check out what the
Design Team have created this October.

Look forward to seeing your creative creations.

Creative wishes

Creative Artiste Design Team ~ Anything Mixed Media Goes

Hello creative Friends,

I'm so happy to reveal today that I have
joined the Creative Artiste Design Team.

A monthly challenge where
and a place to share a mixed media
creation along side the Creative Artiste Team.

Thank you Andree and the team for inviting me..

Here's a walk through my September project and how it came to be..

Autumn my favourite of Seasons the warmth of it's colours are so cosy.
Taking a postcard sized piece of mixed media card I painted a scene
stamping wildflower stems in the forefront adding to it's atmosphere.

Sanding down a deep edge frame leaves are stamped onto the exposed wood
and painted with the same colour palette. To add interest to the front of
the frame texture paste is pushed through a stencil and left to harden.

Painting the textured edge in complimentary bronze, dots of glitter
glue add the final touch of detail to the glass window protecting it.

Glistens like morning dew from every angle,

my mixed media frame is complete and now ready to display.

Pop on over HERE and see what the Creative Artiste DT
have created this month, we'd love to see your
Mixed Media creations over @ Creative Artiste's

Wishing you all a
happy, safe and creative day

CREATIVE ARTISTE GUEST DESIGNER ~ Anything Goes..

Hello Creative Friends

I'm extremely honoured to be Augusts Guest Designer

Over the moon way back in March when chosen by the
Design Team as their winner I'm here today sharing my
GD mixed media creation and how it came to be...

It all started with a single Studio Light stamp laying
down colour on the image I'd stamped out multiple times..

then building up the background with a mix of media
including beaded pearls, sequins and scraps of lace.

When happy with my colour choice I cut out three images
teasing their shape with a ball tool, my favourite tool
to breakdown paper fibres allowing me to manipulate and
define those fine details found within the stamps design.

When applied to the background you can see why the ball tool
is a favourite just look how much dimension can be achieved
with just one little tool.

Wrapping the sea urchin with silk yarn applying extra embellishments
the seahorse gently rest on top partially camouflaged against the layers.
Bright pops of colour dabbed and dripped around the page
my underwater mixed media creation is complete..
Many thanks to the team for having me as
Guest Designer this month it's been a pleasure.

pop on over for more inspiration and join in with the challenge.

Sending best wishes your way
stay safe & creative everyone

What's on your Work desk? Wednesday #546

Hello Creative Friends,

Time to share what's on our Wednesday work desks again.

Can you believe it's only 5 weeks till Christmas..?
With that in mind I spent a couple of hours on Sunday
trying to work out ways of using another one of those
stamps sat awaiting its turn on my borrowed desk.

These handful of cards are not quite finished yet, I
just couldn't decide if I liked black or grey houses!
What do you think..??

Hope this weekend I can finish them and
move on to the next stamp set in the pile.

Another busy week my end so i'll
catch up with you all asap..

Take care everyone

Creative Hugs
