Hello PUMPKIN...

 Hello Pumpkin 😊

Halloween season is upon us it's everywhere in the shops,
I love the display of different pumpkins available and have spent
many hours carving out pumpkin faces with the children in the past.

I've a spooky Halloween inspired journal page today

A painted background with a stamped and coloured Manor house.
The full moon illuminates my oversized drawn and painted plump
pumpkin that greets you at the foot of the winding garden path..

If you look long enough at the open Manor house window
you can almost imagine an eerie shadow staring out at you.

Amazing how the mind can play tricks on us...

Stay safe and creative everyone

What's on your workdesk? Wednesday #528

Hello Creative Friends,

It's midweek meet up time again.. yup it came around that fast!
Another Wednesday where we share What's on (y)our Workdesks..

I'm sure it's WoywW #528??

Well my creative workspace is virtually untouched.
Shoshi wondered what the wooden block tied with string
was all about on last weeks desk, well this week it's multiplied.

I came across an ice-cream tub full of them during my clear out,
I made these must be 15 or more years ago for a pre-school group
using spindle spacers and string. Mark making tools for little hands
they are well loved as was the glitter that's stuck to them solid.

I must give them a soak and see if they still work..
Something else to add to my weekend To-do list ..

I've had a fabulous week, full of family time starting with Lunch out
last Wednesday with Mom. Family get together's over the weekend
followed by my sweet Daughter's 21st Birthday yesterday...😊

Here's the card I made for her

Sadly this photograph was taken on a very dreary day so here's a
close up. Love that rainbow of colour given from the D'OX's.
I'm sharing this with the ladies over at Try it on Tuesday
and joining in with their ~ Colours of the Rainbow Challenge.

I can also share this with you today..
Another make for my Daughter's Birthday.

A Gift card created using my latest favourite stamp
distressed wallpaper by Andy Skinner, how lovely is that print..!

The gift card is held closed with organza ribbon and a pin stamped
with 21 embellished with a single wrapped opaque red ruby.

Inside the gift card holds a handmade keyring. A bronze wire wrapped cabochon
bearing her star sign Cancer decorated with an elaborate ruby birthstone tassel.
I'm pleased to say my little precious loved it..

I'm sharing today with A Vintage Journey ~ Precious Metal Challenge.

I've some errands to run today so scheduling this post early.
After all the fine food and cake this past week I'm in need of the exercise.

Look forward to catching up with you all.

Take care everyone

What's on your workdesk Wednesday 526

Happy July Creative friends

Thanks to Julia over at her stamping ground it's time again for
people far and wide to share What's on their workdesk?Wednesday.

It's still all about pens and pencils on my make shift desk even my
VERY late to arrive JUNE scawlr box had pencils in this edition.

The faces are from Paperbabe stamps not Jane Davenport as
Linda enquired last week, although I do have plenty of those
stamps and stencils... the obsession with faces is on going..

The cottons are for a project that will come to light in August 😊

Life's still extremely busy here but this little set up helps me
focus at the end of the day. Had a day off last Sunday so sat in the
garden enjoying the fine weather and finished off this journal page.

As online/blogging time is limited I've had to schedule this post
and will be sharing with Try it on Tuesday's ~ Material Girl Challenge
along with Art Journal Journey and Chris' theme We're all/going...
as even at my busiest we're all entitled to a moment for ourselves.

**Happy Independence Day this July 4th**
to all my American Buddies.

Look forward to our catch up and seeing WoywW

Try it on Tuesday ~ Vintage Baked Frame

I was over the moon when I was asked to Guest Designer over at
Try it on Tuesday this fortnight and with the theme being
*Vintage* how could I possible resist.

Here is my Vintage* Baked Frame
and those *How to Do's*...

Stamping out a a dragonfly from Visible image I coloured in watercolour pencils.

Using a 11cm x 9 cm Size frame painted in warm tan paint
I placed the frame over the dragonfly inked up the stamp
and matching it up with the image kissing the frame with
the dragonflies delicate wings.

Colour matching the wings using the same watercolours I added
a hint of vintage rose to the outer edge of the frame.

To add some raised detail to the frame I used Pebeo Cerne Relief
to draw detail around the inside and outer edge.

When dry Versamark embossing ink was stamped all over
the frame and bees wax baked Texture sprinkled all over it.

When heated it gives the most delicious colour and effect upon the frame.
With the dragonfly image fitted securely into the frame, co-ordinating glitter glue
has been dotted across the glass covered wings and those stamped onto the frame.

Four flat back pearls sit neatly in each corner edged also with Cerne Relief.
A touch of gilding wax highlights those scrumptious baked bubbles.

Vintage Frame

I have another of these frames untouched,
I may just have to decorate it in a similar way so it has a friend..

Thank you so much for visiting
and please do pop on over and check out the
Try it on Tuesday Design Teams Creations.

Take Care everyone.
