Challenge #116 ~ Paperbabe Stamps Birthdays Theme

Hello everyone,

with this fortnights theme *Birthdays*...

Everyday is a Birthday and I can think of no better time than
NOW to share the love and appreciation of a friend or loved one
by creating a little something to celebrate their special day.

Here's what I created and how it came to be..

I came across this distress oxide background amongst my scraps pile.
I love how those cracks appear so strong through the crackle paste
when pushed through one of my favourite Paperbabe Iso Fun Stencil.

The colours were a perfect match for my latest Paperbabe design
using the Dinky 3/4 View stamp teamed with the Micro Fringe template.

stamping flowers from the Flourishing Hair Set help adorn her outfit
with a little bit of bling to balance that scrummy gold crackle paste..

As if she awaits her destiny this A5 mixed media journal page may well
turn into a card topper as the Birthday Wishes sentiment quietly awaits.

Come see what the rest of the DT have created to inspire you
and *Please* share your stamped Birthday creations with the team
over HERE you DO NOT have to use Paperbabe Stamps to join in...

Stay safe & keep creative everyone
Sending light & good wishes your way

Challenge #112 ~ Paperbabe Stamps *LAYERS*

Happy Friday everyone,

Today see's a New Paperbabe Stamps Challenge
as we present you with this fortnights Theme

Here's my DT Creation and how it came to be.

Onto a heavy weight calico fabric panel I stamped a
painting both face and stamped torso with fabric paint.

Gluing a patterned paper napkin onto the surrounding hair space
I used an inktense pencil to define those flourishes and blend out
with a water brush to help create a subtle edge to her hair line.

Tracing those hair flourishes with glitter glue adds another layer along
with the word Flourish taken from the Flourish and Grow stamp set
stamped onto tissue paper, positioned then glued into place.

Embellished with sequins and beads initially my intention was
to create a fabric postcard sized patch to add as an extra layer
to a bag or item of clothing but when I laid the panel onto a
lace edged piece of fabric I saw a different vision.

Folded it made a super needle book..

I've lost count of the amount of needle books i've made over the years
they always tend to find their way into other peoples hands as gifts,
i'm hoping that this one will stay with me a little longer...

I do hope you can join us this fortnight for our
there's a prize for one randomly chosen winner..

After an extremely busy week i'm looking forward to some
creative time myself and seeing what you've all been up to.

Creative Hugs & Wishes

Picture Inspiration ~ Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #107

Happy Friday everyone

Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #107 presents you Holiday Hues.

Use the picture/colours or both to inspire you to create,
share and join in with the Paperbabe Stamps challenge.

Here's a simple card creation using those prompts.

Vintage Christmas Wreath Card:

Using two different sized circles I masked an area of card to give
me the shape I needed. Spraying distress oxides into the aperture
when dry I stamped the tips of the pine tree stamp from the
Bottle Brush Tree set all around that open wreath area.

Taking away the masks extra stamping is added around the
wreaths edge,  just look how those tips resemble pine needles.

Solid Stars from the Cute Nativity stamp set are used to create
star cookies with added glitter glue for that sweet frosting detail.

Vintage photo distress ink gives them a baked tone

with rusty bells and a neatly tied bow my
Vintage Christmas Wreath Card is complete.

The Design Team would love to see your take on the challenge.

Pop on over HERE and share your creativity, there's a
chance to win a Paperbabe Stamps prize every fortnight.

Wishing you all much Creativity

Paperbabe Challenge ~ #98 Anything Goes

Hello Everyone,

Busy days are making my window for online time very small
at the moment, I'm looking forward to some downtime very soon.

So today i'm sharing a piece created back in June
using the new Paperbabe Female Face Dinky Set

*It's Paperbabe Challenge time over HERE*
with this fortnights theme being ANYTHING GOES*
So why not pop on over to the Paperbabe Stamps Blog
and share your artistic creations with us...

Here's a fun technique some have seen me play with before..

Using StazOn to stamp the Female Face Dinky image onto
Craft Metal a sharpie pen was used to draw around the
Dinky Hair templates mixing and matching different styles.

A fine ball tool is used to scribe around those outlines then
marks made on both sides to emboss and add extra detail.

Using the dinky crown stencil from the dinky accessories
I traced, coloured using Liquid Chrome then cut out that crown.

Adhered to the metal using strong glue diamonds add extra sparkle.
Alcohol markers add a suggestion of colour that can be changed anytime..

The alphabet outline stamp set helps spell the word princess.

stamped onto a wooden base a small chalk board has been covered
with the embossed metal sheet and then slotted into the base.

A fun little activity and a great way to
display those Dinky Face Stamps.

I do hope you can find time to share your
*Anything Goes creations over HERE*

Wishing you all a fabulous weekend.

Creative Hugs
Tracey xx
