Just Junk Journaling...

 Hello creative friends,

Already a week passes into March as I continue recycling packaging and
using scraps to make pocket sized Junk Journals to create in each month.

Here's March's JJ covered with rice paper and stamped flowers
painted in Spring time colours and very simply embellished...

with a Tim Holtz die cut and watercoloured bird resembling the
Blue Tit, she sings amid a Spring inspired textured background..

and because time didn't allow me to share last month
here's a small selection from Februarys Junk Journal...

Paper pockets filled with layered scraps with machine stitched edges.

Documenting my Son and his Girlfriends engagement announcement

and some mindful doodling as the door closed on February...

Please be safe creative friends..

Hugs Tracey xx

All of these pages are amazing Tracey. I love your idea of doing a junk journal each month. The texture you created on the bird page almost looks like you have painted on birch bark. I know it's not, but it looks fantastic. And perfect for Art Journal Journey and Valerie's challenge. It's a beautiful spring page with all those daffodils blooming and that wonderful bird. Thanks for joining us. I hope your month is going well. Hugs-Erika

p.s. sorry I haven't been around, my tablet has given up the ghost and it looks like I'll have to get a new one (eek!) so I've resorted to using my laptop for now which isn't as convenient.

I am SO far behind, Tracey. My apologies.

Your March Junk Journal is amazing. I love the flowers on the cover, especially the ones on the spine. The inside spread you shared is fabulous. It is an amazing mixed media beauty and absolutely perfect for Valerie's theme at Art Journal Journey.

I am SO sorry. I forgot to tell you how much I enjoyed the February pages you shared. I thought the pockets were great, the sewing was superb, and the way you varied the sizes of the pages was impressive.

Tracey, I love your junk journal with all the tattered and uneven page edges! I always love stitching on paper arts. My favorite page is the paper pockets filled with all the paper scraps stitched on the edges. But all the pages are all so different and artistic. This junk journal is eye candy!!!
