Morning has broken...

 Hello everyone

I've been flicking through unfinished journal pages again and
came across this little cottage nestled amongst the tree's...

You can see i'd already started to work on it, over painting the collage
adding light, shade and bright coloured blossom of purple and yellow.

Those that visit know I love creating little scenes like these,
extending the tree's with pencil and paint, adding stencilled
flowers painted to resemble Dog Rose lifting their heads
up towards the morning light.

Using grit paste, I stencilled the corner, painting it grey.
I feel like i'm peeping over a dry stone wall at a magnificent
country landscape, how I wish I could call that house mine...

Give me the peace and tranquillity of early Summer mornings every
day of the week.. now all I need is the sweet sound of bird song.

Stay safe and creative everyone
Hugs Tracey xx

This is gorgeous. It is a simply wonderful. I love how you bring the flowers to the foreground. I love how the tiny cottage in the background just peeks out from behind the gate. This is just a wonderful entry for Alison's theme at Art Journal Journey. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Goodness, I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote that. That should have been the background peeks out over the stone wall.

Tracey, this is so pretty. I am amazed at how you transformed the cottage scene into this beauty. I love the theme of Morning has Broken as well - that song was the Prom theme when I was a Sophomore in High School and I have always loved it. Your page makes me want to stay home from work today and paint something!

How beautiful, Tracey. Who wouldn't want to live in such a place. And, I am guessing that those trees are full of the chirpings of beautiful little birds serenading your dream house. What a delightful post ... Stay safe Tracey. Your creativity is a gift that will bring you and others joy.

...I love your little cottage. Over the years I have enjoyed BBC shows like Father Brown, Pie in the Sky and Rosemary and Thyme, if you have scenes like these, you have lots of inspiration!

Tracey this is beautiful! Your little white cottage is a work of art on its own, but is even more wonderful as part of the whole scene. Take care and have a very happy week, Sue ss

Absolutely beautifully done, Tracey - the wild roses are the perfect addition, rambling over your fabulously textured stone wall and creating a wonderful foreground for the stone cottage. Love this spread so much. Thanks so much for joining us in the Summer Countryside at Art Journal Journey.
