WoywW #632

 Hello creative friends,

Time to share our Wednesday desks at the stamping ground

Not what I had planned to share this week I must say,
I'd forgotten all about the Make Create Express Taster
weekend i'd signed up for again..

Trying to get around 21 artists tutorials in one weekend is an
impossible task when you only have a Saturday afternoon spare

Not one piece finished but it was a great way to spend an afternoon
many thanks to Galia Alena for putting another fab weekend together
and the artists that dedicated their time, talent and creativity..

Spent time Mothering the hens and chicks in the garden, many of
my Sempervivum are coming to an end hence their flowering.
They've produced plenty of little chicks all now replanted..

 How beautiful they do flower..

I'll leave you with this photo of Freya looking sad after losing
her ball amongst the weeds, there not weeds but a Bee and Butterfly
mix grown from seed, although they do look like weeds I must say.

You'll be glad to read we did manage to seek out the ball
no weeds were harmed in the process...😁

Catch up with you all real soon.

Stay safe & creative
Hugs Tracey xx

poor Freya, she looks so sad her ball is hidden Your weekend crammed into an afternoon crafting sounds fun - hope you can do the rest later. Off to work now, catch you later... Happy WOYWW Helen #2

Happy WOYWW. Glad that Freya's ball was retrieved. We have planted a lot of our back garden with wild flower meadow seed mixes. A lot less lawnmowing, more habitat for insects and it looks wonderful. I bought a pass for the Cardmaking Summit that I am taking part in this week, as there is no way I could watch all the videos live (especially with the 5 hour time difference). Now I can watch them whenever I need some inspiration. Ali x #14

Lovely plants, especially for hiding balls!!! I am thinking Of getting some of those ice plants, I have a pattern to make a turtle with them (it uses an upside down hanging basket and some pots for legs). I didn't realise they flowered . . .
Have a good week

Nice plants. Seeing Freya has made me realise she looks just like the puppy that has arrived across the road. She's got a similar range of colours though I think he will be bigger than her. The projects might not be finished but they look very interesting. Have a lovely woyww. Hugs, Angela x16x

Such a lovely pile of goodness in the top photo. I am forever signing up for things and then not following thru! I should know myself by now and just stop doing it. Ah well. Your succulents are gorgeous. I have one but t is not a flowering kind and I have managed to keep it alive for a few years now. That and my two Venus Flytraps oh and a small pot of ivy are about it. Poor puppy clearly needs her ball!

Happy Desk Hopping!

Love your bees and butterfly mix. I think the results look lovely and not at all like weeds. Just sorry that they are hiding Freya's ball.
Gosh, to visit all those artists in a weekend is going some, but to do it in an afternoon is unbelievable. I would flounder but a friend of mine would give it a good go, she is so quick when crafting - has it done whilst i am still thinking.
Hope mil is feeling much better as you don't mention her.
Hugs, Neet 5 xx

Sounds like you put at least some of your time to good use learning different techniques this weekend. I love those hens and chicks. Mine all died years ago. Poor Freya. Glad you found her ball among the plants. Happy WOYWW from # 6.

Morning!! Freya looks so sad! Glad to hear you retrieved the ball. Your Bee and Butterfly bed looks a lot less like weeds than mine does!! Thanks for the visit, life is just so mad isn't it? I don't know how I ever went to work and ran a business on the side. Maybe I'm just getting old and slow! You may have only had an afternoon but it looks like you got a lot done - a cuople of powerful hours there! Happy WOYWW, stay well, stay safe, love n hugs Cindyxx #8

Oh Freya knows how to look sad! A happy retrieval amongst the bee and butterfly mixture. They don’t look like weeds to me. I think your Saturday afternoon was a good thing for you, forcing you into your creative bubble, you don’t have much time for it at the mo, so I hope you really enjoyed it. You may not have got to all 21 artists, but golly, you had a good go!

I am loving the little snippets of creative beauties on your desk and the weekend sounds like a lot of fun - so glad you could get an entire afternoon to yourself. What a good little girl Freya is, she's very expressive isn't she, I know our old Springer would have dug up and demolished the entire flower bed to retrieve her ball!
Hope you have a great week,

Oh Freya, bless her, she does look a bit sad - glad you've found her ball. I signed up for the creative weekend as well but didn't even have time to watch any of the videos. I think with these sort of events, you just look up one or two of the lessons you like best and concentrate on those - unless you have to entire weekend to yourself, but who does? (well, my single self would have, many years ago!) Good that you had a go at some of them - the little glimpses look wonderful. I envy your son that he can continue working from home - I see absolutely no reason why I should sit in the office when I work much better from home (I have my own home office!), but I think my boss wants to justify the office rent and we need it to store things. Luckily, it doesn't cost me anything to get there as I walk, but it does take 2 hours round trip (6 miles) and I always feel knackered when I get home, especially when it's so hot. The good news is, I only have to do it twice a week, and I can work from home one day out of my 3 days - for now anyway - but when you get used to something good, you don't want to give it up. Enjoy your week and thanks for your visit! xx zsuzsa #24

So glad you made Freya happy by finding her ball! Now I thought you meant birdies 🤣. Hence confusion with planting, but seriously you plant the flowers? Happy WOYWW Angela #7

Thanks for your visit. Hugs to Freya, adorable. Yes I use some of my least fav playing cards to alter etc. Love your photos so bright and cheery. Do you use a phone camera? I'm not happy with mine and need to find out why. Enjoy what time you can salvage to create, it's just hard in nice weather Happy WOYWW

haha I totally chuckled over that gloomy face expression over the lost ball. I have seen similar ones but, as Izzy is a hunting dog sometimes hubs tosses balls to bounce into the beds on purpose so she will look for them. which we then cannot say no blooms were harmed lol. Looks like a gorgeous color combo on the chicks and the backgrounds Tracey. ~Stacy #27

All your plants are lovely, Tracey, and I don't think the bee-butterfly mix looks like weeds at all! It sounds as if you've been very busy outside recently. Poor little Freya, losing her ball!

Thank you for your visit, and for all your good wishes. I'm doing fine, except that my hubby has given me his wretched cold/throat bug and I'm not feeling too well.Hopefully it will be gone by next Thurs. when I'm due to go back to the hospital for my post-op check.

I'm really looking forward to trying the gel press, and in the meantime, the Pakistani art card is nearly completed and I'm super-thrilled with the result! The colours are so vibrant and today I added lots of shimmer and sparkle.

Happy belated WOYWW,
