Creative Artiste JULY Mixed Media Challenge #73 ~ Anything Mixed Media Goes

 Hello Creative Friends,

It's time to welcome you all to
our theme is ALWAYS Anything Mixed Media Goes..

This month I'm sharing my latest Junk Journal..

It's contents is wrapped in corrugated card decorated with
tissue scraps, washi tape and short lengths of lace. The lace
butterfly aperture was cut using a Sizzix Bigz Die an offcut
from a project I created over two years ago, how happy I was
to rediscover it and bring it to life as my journal focal...

Painted and embellished with broken jewellery, buttons and brads,
along with Tim Holtz trim, idea-ology metal tab and token..

Creative time has been very limited these past few months,
so I give thanks to the taster courses and time given by those
creatives that have given me prompts and incentive to play..

Here's a taste of what's kept inside, a quick watercolour
inspired by Kasia's #ArtReboot last month..

Pop on over HERE to see what the Creative Artiste DT have
created this month and share your creations with the team..
we love to see your Anything Mixed Media Goes makes.

Stay safe and creative everyone
Hugs Tracey xx

Wow, what a beautiful journal! The lace and butterfly look so amazing with all the recycled jewellery and details that you added - I love it 😀. Glad that you are doing ok, I'm hoping this month is better as things have been a bit hectic here too! Take care and wishing you a happy July! Hugs, Jo x

This is amazing Tracey. I love those jewels in the butterfly body. The lace and the cardboard as well as the other textures all work together so well and create a beautiful finished piece. And of course the poppies are wonderful too. Thanks so much for having as guest designer this month. And happy July too! Hugs-Erika

I left THREE messages/comments yesterday and none took. Unless you haven't published them, of course.

Your butterfly journal cover is drop dead gorgeous. I love the lace that sits behind the butterfly. It really makes the butterfly pop. I love the jewelry you used to enhance the butterfly's body. I love how you extended the cover past the butterfly and how you used your beads and layers of paper to turn this into a masterpiece.

I laughed when you said you created a "quick watercolor." It looks ever so well planned and created. If this is an example of what is on the inside, I really, really, really want to see more.

I'm amazed. First time today my comment published just fine. Happy dance.
