Discover.. Flowers

Hello creative friends,

How are you..??

Sharing a journal page today which I started just before
Spring first sprung but never got round to completing..

No how to do's or explanations just close up's of those
Stamperia moulded pastes, stencils and rice papers..

Fuschia is not really my colour but I couldn't help paint those
moulded roses to match those upon the rice paper background.

I love how the perched bird comes to life when painted,
as if she's stopped to take in their sweet flowery aroma..

The stenciled word *Discover trimmed with buttons
and lace sits above hand painted white fluffy clouds.

a keyword as birdsong amplifies whilst air traffic takes a break.

We've all had more time to discover things of new and old
while keeping our family, friends and neighbours safe...

Wishing you all a a super weekend.
Take care everyone.

Creative wishes
Tracey xx

Ooh, so much detail and texture, Tracey - this is gorgeous. Love your wall and the birds are amazing. It's good to use a colour you don't often use - all colours matter, lol. Mirroring the rice paper is a great touch and makes a difference. I LOVE your clouds! All your additions look almost metallic. This looks like a labour of love. Glad you were able to complete it, even if it took a while. That's the best thing about the isolation - the enforced art time ;-) I'm not complaining about that - in fact, I'd love another couple of hours a day to do more!
Stay safe and play more. Your art is always such a delight to see.
God bless

I have to admit, I found it hard to tear my eyes away from that stunning wall and the little bird looks so happy sitting on those gorgeous dimensional roses. You have balanced the page beautifully with the elements on the left hand side, the buttons are such a lovely touch, along with the pretty lace. You have created such a wonderful scene, one I wish I could see in real life... I hope you have a lovely and safe bank holiday weekend (whatever that is these days - lol). Hugs, Anne xxx

A real stunning work of art here my friend. Thanks re Monte, he is loved and will be a survivor...
The new steampunk challenge is blog, not facebook. We are having a blog hop where some have only facebook or instagram but most have blogs. The main challenge starts in September on the blog https://steampunkchallenge.blogspot.com/ so I am not sure why the link took you to facebook...was it on my link? Maybe I put the wrong one up..

aussie aNNie said...

Hi again lovely, I see why you thought the original link was going to facebook, it is in a way but has a link to detour to the challenge blog. Have changed it so as to not add confusion. Look forward for when it is opened in September and your awesome makes entering into it...big hugs.xx

I'm sorry I'm late and even worse, Blogger refused to publish my comment due to a "security" reason. I'm going to try again after this.

Since my last comment published, I'll try to remember what I wrote. This is both beautiful and well done. I love how dimensional it is. It's also great that your words fit so beautifully with the wonderful photos you shared. I just wanted to reach up and feel the texture you created. It's a real gem and nicely colored, too. Thanks for sharing it with us at Art Journal Journey using Mia's theme.
