TFJB ~ Guest Designer... *Little Things*

Hello creative Friends,

What an honour it is again to be a Guest Designer

Excited to learn that Jenny's theme was *Little things*
being asked to create a small Vintage or Shabby Chic
project my creative side was buzzing with ideas...

Here's my *Little Things* creation and how it came to be..

Jenny was so right when she said even the littlest of things
can mean the most. All crafter's know how hard it can be to
throw away those tiny left over scraps from previous projects,
odd buttons, beads and for me the tiniest strands of lace.

Utilising a 4" x 3" frame I stamped and embossed an image
taken from Stamperia's Art is the Journey stamp set then
glued down those little saved scraps amidst the lace.

i'm always amazed how a coating of gesso
calms those dark spaces and brings out the light...

Using the same stamperia image used upon the frame, I
stamped card then heat resistant acetate embossing it
with clear embossing powder, highlighting her features
by carefully colouring with an alcohol marker.

see how her features pop when the acetate is laid on top.

A wash of skin coloured watercolour around the frame
helps blend both frame and image together.

with a whisper of gilding wax to bring out the
best of those little things.

Completed it gives us much more to look at
than just a picture within a frame.

Thank you to The Funkie Junkie Boutique for having me
what a pleasure it has been. Please pop on over HERE
to see what *Little Things* the talented DT have created.

Sending Creative wishes your way
take care & stay safe everyone

I look forward to spending some time with you all
over the weekend to see what you've all been up to..
Tracey xx

Left over scraps... I do have tons of them! No matter how much I use them the mountain keeps growing! Such a good way to use them, this shabby chic frame is gorgeous and I love that Stamperia image.

Biggest congratulations and many thanks for your inspiration! this is even more incredible as we get to see how it came together. What a brilliant idea to heat emboss the acetate to bring that gorgeous image to life. And that is one gorgeous remake of a tiny frame. Bravo! This is so beautiful Tracey, I really don't know where you get your ideas from! I also have a mountain of leftover scraps, but they are never as pretty as yours. You also have a very light touch with the gilding wax - something I'm still working on lol. Hope you are keeping well, take care and stay safe, Sue xx
