Hello everyone Happy WOYWW 530,
Wednesday again and time to meet at the stamping ground
and share whats on our workdesks thanks to our host Julia.
Before we begin let me start by sharing my garden gate..
it's in there somewhere!.. Didn't realise how overgrown
the Lavender had become during this freaky weather..
Like when your child outgrows their clothing over night this
just happened. We all know the Bee's and Butterflies love it
but the postie has been hesitant to come down the path. I'm
not sure if he's frightened (of the Bee's not me) but I've
explained that the Bee's are far too busy amongst the
Lavender to bother him but he was having non of it...
So I've had to give it a trim then bundle and tie whilst
making room for more pressing. Sadly this press does not cut
the mustard it has many flaws and annoyingly the wing nuts are
far too small for purpose but there's not many books left to use.
So here's what you came to see, bit of an anti-climax really
just some cottons for me to finish off a project later today.
I did play with some previously pressed Lavender HERE
over the weekend but the rest I can not share just yet.. 😊
So i'm showing off six lovely Stamperia stamp sets my Daughter
surprised me with last week before she flew off to Germany...
I know I'm a very spoilt Mommy!!
Off to spoil my Mom this afternoon
so i'll be round to visit asap.
Take care everyone
Creative Hugs
Tracey xx
P.S Sorry if I missed anyone last week, i've had issues with my
pages crashing and had to uninstall & reinstall Chrome
so kinda lost my place .. grrr!!

Hi Tracey, I bet your craft area smells lovely with all that lavender drying out. What a lovely daughter you have! Happy WOYWW. Sarah #9
The lavender looks beautiful Trace - shame you had to trim it back, but atleast you are making good use of it.
What a great selection of stamps - I had a zoom in to look closer - lovely wolf and owl...lucky you, you'll have fun with those :)
Glad to hear its a bit cooler up there... well, until the next heavewave comes as no doubt it will :(

Silly postie, that lavender is so gorgeous. Have fun with your threads. Hope your daughter enjoys her time here in Germany. Hugs Valerie
I love when my lavender comes into bloom! It is far and away my most favorite floral scent, and maybe my most favorite scent of all (except for chocolate!). I usually just hang mine to dry, but I've also heard of people using their microwave to do the job. I've not tried it myself. Hope you can find or build a press that does the job better for you <3
You are spoiled indeed... such lovely stamps!! I love the lavender - it always makes me think back of holidays in France with my partents when i was a child. I have a lavender in a pot on my balcony but it looks different from yours (another 'category', or how do you call that?) Have a lovely week Tracey, happy woyww and a big hug from Holland, Marit #15
LOVE those stamps!! I must investigate Stamperia!!
Sadly, I'm allergic to lavender - as is daughter :(
Happy WOYWW :)

What a shame to cut down that lovely lavender, but pressing them is a good way to save them for eternity! You are spoilt indeed - all those stamps look fantastic - your daughter sure knows what you need! I couldn't have chosen better for myself! I look forward to your QDS post next week! zsuzsa #16
Gorgeous pic of the lavender, I do love it and have a lot in my garden for the bees etc - though mine don't frighten the postie, lol! Look at the tropical colours of those threads, it just makes me want to play!
Hugs LLJ 6 xxx
Hi Tracey I so love Lavender and you are right the bees just ignore you when they're busy collecting the pollen. The smell is gorgeous. Nice stamp collection too. Whatever you are do today have a lovely woyww, Angela x13x
shame you had to cut back the lavender. but enjoy the lovely bundles! love your goodies from your daughter. have fun! Helen #3
I had problems this week two with chrome crashing/freezing etc....so frustrating x
What a wonderful daughter you have and what a wonderful daughter you are too x.
Had a little chuckle about the postman and we love bees our end x.
Looking forward to seeing more creative projects with your lavender x.
Happy WOYWW #530 great desk you have been very busy! xx Jan (21)
Had the same issue with Chrome last night too... seems we are not alone. Trying one last unistall/reinstall then if that doesn't work i'm preparing myself for a #deepclean :/
Hi Tracey! It looks like you've been so busy since my last pass through. I'm off to work, so I'll have a peak at all your creativity, but not sure I'll have time to comment on each at this time. Your lavender looks so lush, and it looks like you are putting it to good use. After putting off some much needed weeding in one of our beds my husband promised to re-do earlier in the season, I started to clear it out after our vacation. We had drier weather, and our water was back on, so I could get a shower after working. That did not last long, since I came upon a yellow jacket nest and got stung by many angry bees. After a week, I am still swollen and itchy! So I don't really blame your postman for being leary.
Happy belated birthday to you! Your daughter did good with her very generous present. You obviously set a great example for her by spoiling your own Mom! Sending hugs...off to see what I've missed!
Hello Tracey , you know how much I admire your lavenders, sooooo huge the bushes were before you cutting them, for beautiful use in your art . And it could never be anticlimax to see picture of them and your stamps, so lovingly gifted by your daughter . I know you will enjoy using them and thinking of her in the same time .
Biggest hugs to you, dear friend- and enjoy your lavender fragrance <3 - xoxoxoxo
Hi Tracey, wow, I love the stamps, especially the one with the wolf & moon! Your daughter has enabled me, lol. Really late this week, spent most of yesterday afternoon in A&E, as the breathlessness wasn't easing off. They gave me IV Antibiotics & steroids, and some nebulisers, which has helped, but it's still not what it should be. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4X
What a superb present!!! Thanks for telling us about the lavender .... might try pressing some and making cards with it for next year's Open Day.
Have a good week

If the lavender cannot be pressed can you not tie it in bundles and hang it somewhere dark and airy? I am sure I read once that you can dry it that way. Our postie once shamed us to trim the Lavatera back as it was wetting him if it had rained because it was hanging over at the top of the steps. it died eventually and we haven't replaced it - but we have got a new postie. Sadly - we liked Paul!
What a lovely gift from your daughter, sounds as if you have a good one there and your mum has a good daughter in you - it runs in your family.
Have a great week.
Hugs, Neet 1 xx
I am so pleased that you used some of the cut lavender, your hands and home must have smelled glorious. The colours of those threads on your desk are gorgeous! What a lovely daughter you have, she certainly treated you to some lovely stamps, you are going to be a very busy lady!
I hope you enjoyed spoiling your Mum and hope you have a lovely weekend. Hugs, Anne xxx
How wonderful! all the lavender~ I can only imagine standing there in your garden, breathing deeply the lovely smell~
My late husband made me a flower press years ago; I really love it. But I do sometimes have to add an extra layer of cardboard to get it flat; depending on what I'm pressing ; )
Your daughters gift is amazing too Tracey! I'm sure you are a deserving mom~ <3
Wishing you a great week-end ahead. How's your weather? We are full Summer and the sunshine & warm weather makes me happy~ Hugs, karen o
Your lavender is gorgeous! I looked back at your other page and wow!
And enjoy all your stamps! How fun!
Thanks for popping by and have a great weekend!

I have a flower press, but haven't used it in years. It's good to be spoiled by your children, so happy to see the stamp sets you got from your thoughtful daughter. Happy belated WOYWW! #24
Lovely lavender, Tracey, and what a gorgeous photo of it in the foreground, concealing the garden gate! Really pretty. That's a nice lot of new stamps to start playing with, too. Thank you for your visit. Sorry for the delay replying - another busy few days. Ruby was in the sink because it was so warm in there - really hot actually! You can imagine what the steel was like with direct sunlight on it! What fun it would have been if you had rung my doorbell while I was doing the cooking - we could have sampled it together lol! Thank you for the good wishes for my hospital appointments, and I hope your hubby's goes well too. Migraines are very difficult to get on top of, aren't they. I used to suffer terrible ones in my 20s and 30s and would have to lie in a darkened room all day, in agony and throwing up! At least these aren't that bad but I need something to get on top of them. I'm busy working on my eco project at the moment but once that's finished I am hoping to resume other things like teabag doodles and embroidering my slippers. Always so much to do!
Happy belated WOYWW,

Hi Tracey, thanks for visiting. I really love lavender - have some growing in a pot ( my garden is quite small- but I love it :-) )Have been looking at another post of yours. All seems so sophisticated - mine must seem like childs play to you. Anne x 12
Lovely lovely lavender... no such thing as too much of it. You'll enjoy playing with those new stamps, I'm sure... they look great.
