Morning everyone,
it's a hot and humid start to Wednesday here even after
heavy storms last night, how's the weather treating you?
Tis that day in the week Julia invites us to bare our creativity over
at the stamping ground and share what's on our Workdesks as it's
I have to say I have little to share this week, i'd planned some
play time over the weekend but this wee unexpected visitor
came to stay and took priority over any lap crafting time...
It's been another busy but interesting week here,
to top it all off I woke yesterday morning to find
the radiators on and unable to turn them off..!!
Like a nightmare in HELL repairs said they would try
and get someone out that day TRY, they said TRY..!!
31°C outside, I have no idea what it was inside..
So sat in the garden under the brolly I'd already convinced
myself we'd be sleeping in the Campervan that night sharing a meal deal
and a salad bowl from Sainsbury's whilst everything indoors just baked!
So whilst praying for a repair person to take pity on my sauna house
I had a play under the brolly in the garden with those mark making blocks
from last weeks desk. Some work as good as they did all those years ago
but others are caked with glitter & glue and really do need a good scrub.
You'll be glad to hear my radiator issue was resolved before
the end of the day but sadly I missed out on a non cook day 😑
I'll be round to visit asap
as soon as the heat dies down a little..
Take good care of yourselves
Creative Hugs
Tracey xx

oh no, you didn't need that added heat!! glad it got resolved though.. Off to work soon to melt in a non air conditioned office.... Helen #1
Sorry about that Tracey, extra heat was really what you needed the very least! It's ghastly hot here, too, and will be 38° by this afternoon....Having some playtime outside in the shade sounds good. Have a good rest of the week, keep cool, hugs, Valerie
Glad you managed to get the repairs sorted Tracey, I can't think of a worse nightmare in this heat. At least you had an excuse to sit outside and play! Happy WOYWW. Sarah #10
Oh, the irony of having a house hotter on the inside than the outside! I'm really pleased that it was repaired relatively quickly. Crafting outside under a brolly sounds the perfect thing to do!

Hi Tracey!
Glad there is a happy end on the catastrophic heat problem. Our temperature here is around 30 C. My flat is on high floors and rooms are through the building, so I get good
air ventilation 😚
Wishing it gets cooler there and here,
Much love 😘
I think the timing of these plumbers is deliberate....a non Cook day would have been just reward for the earlier baking, even if it was a different sort! we had a similar problem about a month ago, the guy came by appointment and was here for about ten minutes. Literally. And the bill was £130. No parts. If I wasn’t so lazy I’d consider re-training!
I'm glad you got the heat problem resolved. Sometimes repairmen move at their own pace. They think they have you over a barrell and usually do.

Hi Tracey, glad someone got to your radiators, could not have happened on a worse day! Still very warm and muggy even after that storm. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4 X
Ooh Tracey, how awful for you. I cannot imagine the house with radiators belting out in this weather. So glad you got it sorted but just sorry it happened in the first place.
I missed the storm, slept right through it - am convinced I am going deaf as well as everything else LOL.
Another OOh, from me. I could just do with that wee visitor coming to stay a while and sit on my lap. He/she looks adorable. I am in need of a furry cuddle!
Glad some of the mark making blocks still work. Just keep having fun with them - am not sure what they are really Are the blocks carved or is it what is wrapped around them that makes the marks?
Hugs and Best Wishes for a Good Week for You.

Nightmare but at least you got to play with the mark makers.... they look good.
Stay cool

Good to hear the radiator was repaired and you got to have some playtime even if it was under a brolly. Have a great week.

Oh no, I can't imagine anything worse in this heat than having radiators on. Glad to hear they have been repaired - and you got some nice time crafting outdoors. I'd have still opted for a non-cook day, but then again most of my days are non-cook days as Mr M is the chief chef. Have a lovely week Heather xx #9
Sorry to read about your radiator. I'm so happy with central heating and air conditioning at my house. Not bragging, just it's needed where I live. At least they made it before the end of the day, but not before you got out of fixing an evening meal. I think your "desk" looks lovely this week and your friend looks ready to "help."
What a nightmare for you! Radiators in that heat - yuk! Love your outdoor desk and your gorgeous visitor is adorable. Have a wonderful week. Love & God Bless, Caro x (#17)
Oh my Tracey! what a time to have a heating problem. Loving your laptop dog though, looks like a real sweetie. Wishing you a lovely creative week, Angela x13x
I feel so bad that your radiators were on, you couldn't turn them off, and the repair people said they would "try" to get to you. Ugh. We had a heat wave where I live in the northeast US. Today is very pleasant, but the heat will return later this week (although not as bad as the heat wave). Your wee visitor is adorable. I'm glad you got to do some crafting while you were out in the garden.
Yay to the radiator man coming x. Looks like you had fun playing with those mark makers and what an adorable unexpected visitor x Hot our way too but keeping cool under an umbrella too x
It is very hot and humid here too and the thunder and lightening last night was horrendous, more expected tomorrow..... I cannot imagine what it must have been like with the heating on Tracey, but so glad it was resolved before the end of the day! What a shame about the no cook day though. Our kitchen is so small that cooking is off the agenda for any hot days, just salad and cold meats here... Your little visitor looks so cute! We are heading up north for a couple of days, hopefully it will be a bit cooler. Hugs, Anne xx
Hi Tracey, Thank goodness your heating got sorted. Shame you weren't able to get out of cooking though.
Glad you managed some crafting.
Your little visitor is adorable.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Happy WOYWW

Hah we had the opposite problem this week no,hot water. I don’t mind a warmish shower but I’m not into a freezing cold one. Brrrr no thanks.
I like your little visitor by the way

Ha, I would not have cooked anyways. but, I am glad they got you all fixed up Tracey :) love the puppy view too. ~Stacy #31
Wow, Tracey, I cant imagine anything worse than heaters full bore unable to be shut off in middle of heat wave, I am glad it was solved albeit late for you.
Those blocks are a cute idea like the marks they make ... thanks for popping over and being a blessing.

Oh my goodness dear Tracey, what an awful thing to happen - and of course on one of the most warm days,- good you could hide outside, under the brolly, and even have some play time .
Such sweet visitor, is it one to stay ? maybe your husband have overspoken you to get a new puppy ?? - Dear friend, I hope to write you very soon- and send you hugs of love- Dorthe xoxo
Mechanical issues can be such a pain, so glad to hear you got them resolved. Your visitor is a cutie. Happy belated WOYWW!
Your furry visitor is adorable! He sure would distract me, too!
Sorry to hear about your heater issues! I'm surprised you could put your mind to making. I have to go look up 'brolly' as I've not heard that term used before. Glad it was resolved somewhat quickly. Getting service people to come around is getting more and more difficult here. As the economy is rebounding, so is the building industry, and all the laborers that are left have bigger fish to fry. We came back from vacation to a broken water main (it's always something!) and couldn't get a plumber out for 3 days, so no water to the house for those days! YUCK!
