What's on your workdesk Wednesday 525

Happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday!

Desk sharing day where we hang out at Julia's
stamping ground ... it's time for WoywW #525

I'm back again.. what a part timer I am!

Well it's been an eventful couple of weeks in my little
part of the Midlands along with family and visiting friends.
No matter how I try I just can't seem to juggle online time
with anything else and get back into my blogging routine.

Always somewhere needed to be, it's all been a little too busy
for me leaving the creative inside shouting "What about ME..!? "

So i'll take you to a quiet place where it's all about pencils again,
resist and watercolour play with my latest DT Paperbabe Stamps.

Shhhh... don't tell anyone i'm here.. i'm in hiding!

Look forward to seeing what you've all been up,
as I feel like my creative side is wilting rapidly..

Be round to visit as soon as i've pushed Hubby
on his way to his second round of Cardio-rehab.

Take good care everyone

Paperbabe Challenge ~ #96 Spot and/or Stripes

Happy Summer Solstice creative friends
Welcome to Summer!

There's a NEW Blog Challenge over @ Paperbabe Stamps
and it's all about Spots and Stripes this fortnight..

After living under a rain cloud today the sun shines bright.
So let me share a project that like the weather has changed
it's face quite a few times before sitting down to rest.

Playing with the new Dinky Stamps and Templates it's very
easy for me to lose myself in the colouring and shading.

From an A5 journal page i've traced around the cover of a
found small notebook to give me the correct measurements.

The bow template tidy's up her rag tail hair and can you see the
Doodle Stars in spots and stripes that decorate her Summery T...

Cut down to size my Dinky Journal cover is complete.

The inside is a work in progress but you may
catch a glimpse of what's inside very soon...

Please pop over HERE and see what the Paperbabe Design Team
have created this fortnight, we are all loving the NEW Dinky's.

Wishing you all a little sunshine today.

What's on your Workdesk Wednesday 523

Hello everyone,

It's Wednesday the day Julia invites us to share
What's on our Workdesk over at the stamping ground...

Sorry i've not been around over the past couple of weeks
but I've been on my holibobs. I hope all that attended the
WoywW 10th Anniversary meet up all had a fab time??
I was thinking of you all although almost 2.000 miles away.
I'm sure there are plenty of photo's out there that share the day.

Here's little *Arty* who carefully transports my go to equipment
admiring a view that's seen many changes over the last 15 years.

and here's *Arty* last week sharing the limelight with a bottle of sun cream.
Have to confess not much creative activity took place as i'd hoped
but there was plenty of chatter, banter and probably way too much
thinking time for me but the air was clean and the sky ever bright...!!

So now i'm back home, greeted by torrential rain and poor light
wondering why my next door neighbour has wall to wall scaffold
and a new roof? A little worrying as I live in a terrace!!

This weeks WoywW 523 is all set up ready to finish some DT work.
For those that like face stamps you may like to pop on over HERE?

I'm feeling like a newbie today and a bit out of practice, so i'm
sneaking in early today as Julia's door is open...

Look forward to seeing what you've all been up to
it's been way to long.

Sending Creative Hugs your way

Mini Album Makers ~ June Challenge

Welcome to June everyone and the start of a new
blog challenge over at Mini Album Makers.

This month is sponsored by Character Construction who
generously awards a $25 Gift Certificate to our June winner.

There's also a chance to be invited as
a Guest Designer @ Mini Album Maker's.
Why not share your Album creations over HERE
and check out what the DT have created this June.

This month i'm sharing the beginnings of my Junk Journal.

This came about when given a book full of
etchings and Victorian tongue in cheek humour.

With no major plan, I decided to alter the book using
it's own pages and just let it evolve over time..

Decorating the front cover with stamperia stencils and a segment
of moulded air dried clay, an art doll face along with gypsy soul
cogs and wings laser cuts add those extra embellishments.

I just lost myself in the painting..

When altering books I never start at the beginning always somewhere
in between tearing pages to create hinges to staple, glue or tie on
what ever you chose to attach. Washi tape is fabulous for reinforcing
and makes designs personal and unique.

Spraying and staining with tea and/or coffee really ages pages.
Simply folding and tearing pages can create pockets that can
hold so many pieces of your saved junk or ephemera.

Just look how much these folded book page pockets hold...

By sewing together book page edges we can create
alternative openings by re-cutting and remodelling them.
This page I added eyelets, fastened with lacy ribbon.

Captions like these are far too funny to cover up!

Punching hole's top and bottom of the cover tied elastic acts
as a closure keeping all those bits and bobs secure inside.

I can not resist tinkering and altering whenever I
open it and by no means is it finished. Like with most
Junk Journals I don't think it ever will be...

I'm sure I'll be sharing more of it's pages soon...

Thank you for sharing part of your day with me.
I look forward to seeing what you've all been up.

Take  Good Care everyone.
