Creative Artiste #96 ~ Anything Mixed Media Goes

Hello everyone

a new month means the start of a new challenge @

This August I share a journal page using part of an illustration
collaged from a colouring book altered to create a wider scene.

Using pencil, pen and paint, texture paste, die cut wild flowers,
eyelet portholes and art stone pebbles and doodles line the towpath.

This was a scene relished in real time last month given a
few days respite from care duties... the first in many years..

Let me take you on a brief journey and share life stuff that
inspired Augusts journal page with a handful of pictures..

Taking to the water by canal boat 2 miles per hour..

hidden from wifi connections, cuddled by nature..

Visitors stopping by for breakfast.. lunch and tea 😁

Freya taking in the scenery..

a herd of horses run free on the horizon..

always only a short journey away from home...

It felt like a million miles away..

this really is life slowed down ...

I hope you can take a moment to share what inspires you this month
and come and share your mixed media creations with us HERE

Wishing you all a safe, relaxing month ahead
Creative Hugs
Tracey xx

Hi Tracey, so glad you got away for a few days, it was a great idea! I love river boats, they teach you to step aside and go slowly, and that is so good. Your art is also beautiful,I love it, a great momento of your holiday. Hugs, Valerie

Oh this sounds like an amazing way to relax Tracy. I love that you have a houseboat, and that you found some time to enjoy it too. Freya looks like she is loving it too. And I do love your expanded drawing. It is beautiful and really captures the feel of your journey. I've seen these canal boats years ago traveling, and I always wondered what it was like to be in one, and so I am glad you shared those photos too. Have a great August. hugs-Erika

This looks and sounds amazing Tracey - we've never done a canal trip hubby is a bit too tall to fit comfortably in a boat but I've always fancied it. Love the way you've incorporated this into you wonderful art. x
