Hello Creative Friends,
I can't quite believe September's here already...
What a manic month August was, not many daylight hours to play.
This collaged magazine figure has been sitting on my desk for weeks.
Over painting with heavy body acrylics, palette knife scrapes and lots of
finger smudging, the finer details are reworked using coloured pencils.
She looks super confident... the word *Unstoppable* seemed quite apt.
The rain has held off this past week so there's been plenty of walks
to help blow the stress out of my hair.. I'll leave you with a pic of
Freya striking a pose, whilst sniffing the air for squirrels.. 😁
Really looking forward to catching up with you all.
Happy September
Hugs Tracey xx

Tracey,
Amazing job! Oh, how I'd love to do portraits as good as you!! Fraya looks content. Did you detect any squirrels on your walk? :) Have a doodletastic day,
She's still in search of squirrels Cathy :D
You have great talent. Your fabulous lady does indeed look unstoppable. I think she's the kind of person we'd all like to meet.
Fabulous pose from Freya! Happy PPF, hugs, Valerie

What an artist you are....absolutely amazing x. What a fabulous photo of Freya too x.
Your portrait is a beauty and yes confident, but I see just enough hesitation in her to know she won't step out of her comfort zone. I like your use of different medium and it does give depth to your painting. I am glad your rain has stopped, but it has been ferocious here in certain sections of the states. The weather extremes are trying to tell the nonbelievers that the truth is true and in this case dangerous. As for Freya, what a cutie and yes, by all means a squirrel. When we lived on the lake we had squirrels in our yard all of the time and the reactions between them and our Izzi became a sort of dance ... fun to watch and, as Izzi was never able to catch any of them, a frustrating dance for her. Love your art ... you are very talented. I look forward to seeing more from you.

Tracey, you never fail to impress! The paint work you have done on this beautiful image is just exquisite. You chose the right word with 'unstoppable', it definitely suits her.
Freya's pose is just adorable! Big hugs, Anne xxx
I really like her face. Well done!
OMG Tracey your collage is amazing! Just when I thought your post couldn't get any better there's a cute doggie picture! What would they do if they ever caught the squirrel lol. Have a fun weekend, Sue xx
Fabulous and gorgeous dog too
Tracey your powerful, confident woman is simply stunning!!!
Oh how sweet Freya is <3 , is she a type of spaniel I wonder?
And lastly, thank you for the really thoughtful and lovely comment you left me- very touching.
Wow - this is simply amazing!! Love the texture and dimension. Happy PPF!
Tracey she is beautiful! So is Freya! You are so talented, I love all of the detail and thanks for sharing about the coloured pencils. I never think of mixing certain mediums together, it's brilliant! :)
Beautiful page! The way you collaged the image and painted over the top is so amazing, I don't think I'd know where to start with this technique - wonderful 😀. Of course Freya stole the show for me, she is looking so pretty and the perfect de-stresser. I hope you are doing ok, take care and wishing you well! Hugs Jo x
Wow! Over painting that is brilliant. She is gorgeous.
Fabulous work, Tracey. Too bad it's bound and not in a frame! XOX
