Hello everyone,
it's been sometime since I shared what's on my work desk,
@ the stamping ground. The past few weeks have been eventful
and i've not stepped foot in my crafty space since early April.
Suspended in time, feel free to look away but it is what it is...
I've been away caring for my Mother in Law after she collapsed
at home, found by my Hubby after being alerted by Neighbours.
She spent two weeks in hospital fighting an infection and umpteen
tests where they discovered a heart murmur amongst other things.
Not quite the woman she was when she returned from hospital
now lots of extra things put in place to make mobility easier.
No play time as I stayed to help rebuild her confidence
but I did manage to complete this whilst MIL minding,
and started a new one sat in the conservatory
listening to bird song whilst MIL had a little nap..
Can I say Thank you so much for the emails
I think I've replied to you all now 😊
Sorry I missed the 12th year WoywW celebrations
I hope you all had a good one, i'm sure you did.
I know not everyone visits/comments but i'll be
round to see what you've been up too asap.
Take care & be safe
Tracey xx

Hello. good to see you again! I am sorry you've had such a time with your MIL - hope she is recovering well and your craft room will welcome you back soon! Take care. Helen #1
Oh dear, I do hope your MIL is well on the way to recovery now. With your tender care she surely must be. What a lovely way to spend your time whilst sitting with her, I had no idea you did embroidery as well as the beautiful art you do. Both pieces are gorgeous.
I hope it is not too long before we get to see your wonderful artwork again and wish your MIL all the very best.
Hugs, Neet 4 xx
Thanks so much Helen, MIL is slowly getting stronger just taking every day as it comes.
Hope to get back in the craftroom soon, didn't realise how much I missed it x
Thank you Neet, it's been a worrying few weeks but I think progress is being made. The embroidery has kept my brain active and taken my mind off the difficulties faced. Will be good to get back to my desk eventually x
You have been a wonderful carer for your MiL, kudos! And the embroidery is fantastic. Take care of yourself, hugs, Valerie
It’s lovely to see you Tracy, I just knew that you were away being caring. So sorry for your Ma In Law, rebuilding confidence is a long job I’ve discovered, especially as they seem so much more frail after an incident like this. Your embroidery skills are as marvellous as your paper skills, what beautiful pieces. Bet they were relaxing.
Oh your desk looks fabulous - I love your honeycomb storage! I hope MIL gets well very quickly for you. Your stitching is amazing - so pretty. Stay safe & well - Cheers Maurs #12
Sorry to hear about your MIL Tracey but glad to hear she is home and on the mend. Beautiful embroidery and I am sure you will be getting back to your desk before too long. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #14 (I had a lie in for the holidays).

Hi Tracey, thanks for popping over 😃 oh and that’s one stunning, yes, truly beautiful embroidery, the first one and another on the make. Do love the effect of stitching on first piece. Well done.
Pray MLiL settle into better health now she’s home and you might rediscover your crafty space!

Welcome back Tracey, Your embroidery is beautiful. Wishing you the best. It's not an easy time with family having health issues. Been there done that and it's stress you don't even realize so take time for YOU also. ATC's were all "Happy Mail" and brightening of a day. But our weather turning in to Sunshine and Warmth have been the best medicine for me. WOW a new horizon busrt here. Wishing you the same Best wishes
Look away? We COME for the mess! LOL! Sorry to hear your MIL has had such struggles. Hopefully she is on the mend and won't need you as much. But your embroidery is lovely to maybe silver lining?

I hope your MIL is on the mend and feeling better, it's always scary when that kind of thing happens. Your embroidery is beautiful plus the bonus of being a portable craft you can do anywhere! Your desk looks OK to me, very colourful and organised. Elle #27, EOTC
I am so sorry to hear about your MIL Tracey. Glad she is now at home but as you say things are not the same x. I love your embroidery .... It is so delicate and absolutely beautiful. Loving your creative desk too x. Take care of yourself as well Tracey x.
Hi Tracey. I am sorry to hear about your MIL. She is lucky to have you. Your art room is always so organized. I love the embroidery too. Be sure to take care of yourself too.
Hi Tracey , I have to be honest I've been out Lol! We have a friend who is going into hospital soon and our little group of retired teachers just wanted to wish her all the best so we sat and had coffee but I'm back now. Sounds like you and I have been occupied with similar family commitments as I've been busy with my mum. Loving the embroidery, so pretty. Wishing you a very happy woyww and a lovely week too. Hi Tracey, you are so lovely looking after your mother in law. I hope she is more able to do things now, it feels awful depending on people sometimes. My friend is in a nursing home and is desperate to return home. Happy WOYWW Angela #15
Hello Tracey. Thank you so much for taking time to visit me. It is good to see you back. So sorry to hear about your mum in law. It really does knock their confidence and as you say they are not quite the same, I saw it happen with mum. Thank goodness she has you to look after her. Love the embroidery. Hope your mum in law makes a good recovery. Take care. Anne x 22
So sorry to hear about your mother in law, Tracey. I hope she is feeling better now, and regaining her confidence. Not a nice thing to happen. I am sure she has really appreciated your love and care. Your embroidery is just gorgeous... Lovely to be able to pick it up and do a bit when you get the chance - any sort of creativity is very relaxing and stress-relieving! Thank you for your visit and for your good wishes for my appointment tomorrow. I'm glad you like my fabulous new knitting bag! I'm already finding it invaluable even though I haven't used all its tricks yet!
Happy WOYWW,

Wishing your MIL well, I hope she is feeling more confident and better each day. You do such a great job looking after her and all of your family! I love your embroidery, the spring flowers look so amazing 😀. Take care and wishing you well! Hugs, Jo x
Thanks so much Valerie, I try xx
Frail is very much the key word but we do what we do when it's family. So glad I made it back to WoywW this week, always the warmest of welcomes x
Both Rowandean kits but the first can also be found in *Hand-stitched Flowers and Landscapes* book by Katherine Witten, I sewn that one quite a few times for gifts x
Hi Tracey! Thank you for the visit. Continued prayers for your mother in law. Falls as we get older can be so troublesome. More frustrating at not being able to do as we've always done more than anything, I think. Beautiful needlework pieces. I need to make more time to pick up a needle. Thanks for sharing. Hugs & Creative Blessings! Kelly #26
Sending you all big hugs Tracey, I hope your MIL is doing better now.
