WoywW #564

Hello everyone,
How are you all doing?

Sharing what's on my work desk this Wednesday
here stands a Tando mini book tower a present to myself
last Christmas but like lots of my crafty stash was in hiding 😏

Holding 12 mini books one for each month, when constructed each book
can hold a months worth of pages. I thought the Tando 366 challenge
was only for Facebook, a challenge to create a page a day using the
Tando prompts. Not being a FB user I never looked for those
daily prompts, my intentions were to just do my own thing..

...BUT I came across a Team Blog that was sharing each prompt
how useful, this could spur on my create every day motivation.

Watch this space!!

With lots in the making but all unfinished here's
a little creation I blogged about last week.. HERE

there's been lots of bonding going on now both my girls are under one roof.

Life sure feels like a script from book or scene from a movie
right now, strange that exactly three months ago it was
Christmas day..

Family and friends all together, food & drink a plenty with
unrestricted love and laughter... how different life is today.

Hold onto those memories everyone,
whilst being sensible and safe listening to those vital instructions
so we can create more memories with loved ones when this darkness lifts.

Sending good health & creative light your way

TFJB ~ Guest Designer... *Little Things*

Hello creative Friends,

What an honour it is again to be a Guest Designer

Excited to learn that Jenny's theme was *Little things*
being asked to create a small Vintage or Shabby Chic
project my creative side was buzzing with ideas...

Here's my *Little Things* creation and how it came to be..

Jenny was so right when she said even the littlest of things
can mean the most. All crafter's know how hard it can be to
throw away those tiny left over scraps from previous projects,
odd buttons, beads and for me the tiniest strands of lace.

Utilising a 4" x 3" frame I stamped and embossed an image
taken from Stamperia's Art is the Journey stamp set then
glued down those little saved scraps amidst the lace.

i'm always amazed how a coating of gesso
calms those dark spaces and brings out the light...

Using the same stamperia image used upon the frame, I
stamped card then heat resistant acetate embossing it
with clear embossing powder, highlighting her features
by carefully colouring with an alcohol marker.

see how her features pop when the acetate is laid on top.

A wash of skin coloured watercolour around the frame
helps blend both frame and image together.

with a whisper of gilding wax to bring out the
best of those little things.

Completed it gives us much more to look at
than just a picture within a frame.

Thank you to The Funkie Junkie Boutique for having me
what a pleasure it has been. Please pop on over HERE
to see what *Little Things* the talented DT have created.

Sending Creative wishes your way
take care & stay safe everyone

I look forward to spending some time with you all
over the weekend to see what you've all been up to..

What's on your workdesk this Wednesday? #563

Hello everyone,

Popping in to share what's been on my workdesk
as it's Wednesday & before another week zooms on by.

It's all been somewhat busy here with important people
to attend to in the light of what's happening world wide
there's been quite a few Birthdays in between...

Here's one of the cards I remembered to photograph..

and a little textured pot I revamped with a lick of paint.

Taken yesterday afternoon this space awaits a crafting day.

My Daughter is now over from Sweden, she made the decision
to be near to the family rather than run the risk of being
stranded in the tiny village she now lives in.
Picking her up from Manchester Airport can't tell you how
nervous we were seeing airlines start to cancel flights.

We are all in it together now...
what a ray of light that is.

Hope everyone is looking after themselves and those that
need help have people around them to lend a hand..??
Look forward to seeing WOYWW #563

Stay creative everyone

*Green* Peace..

 Hello Creative Friends,

How are you all keeping in this crazy world??

Dropping by to share a journal page i've been tinkering around with,
a combination of mixed media, stencils, stamps, inks and pencil work
it's been very therapeutic to keep revisiting each evening
when the work day is done.

it's certainly renewed some of the energy that's been lost over
very busy few days. Makes me want to part those wild flowers
and just sit amongst the tranquillity of it all...

We are all very lucky to have such natural beauty around us,
it gives us so much and asks for little back.

Wishing you all a safe weekend
Take care everyone & look after each other.

Challenge #114 ~ Paperbabe Stamps *Anything Goes*

Happy Friday Creative Friends,

It's challenge time over on the Paperbabe Stamps Blog
this fortnight it's *Anything Goes* so come share your
crafty makes with us over HERE...

Here's what I got up to..

I'm very lucky that my Mother in Law's Garden is full of
flat rocks and pebbles. When I recently came across this
one it's shape really reminded me of a head.

Inspired by my blogging Rock Painting Friends
I'm sharing a painted rock of my very own today.

First adding a coat of gesso I stamped the closed eye
face stamp from the Paperbabe female dinky face set
onto the flat surface delicately painting with acrylics.

I stamped the Paperbabe hand under her chin by placing the
dinky hand stamp onto the end of my finger, this made it much
easier to get an impression around the curved edges as I could
manipulated the stamp around the curves, repeating the process
with flowers taken from the Flourishing Hair stamp set.

Painting those stamped outlines I added the detail,
coating the finished rock with satin varnish..

I love how peaceful she looks,
each time I look at her I wonder what she see's
behind those closed eyes dreaming of beautiful things...

Come see what the team have created over HERE
and join in with our Anything Goes Paperbabe Challenge.

I look forward to seeing what delights you have for our eyes.
