Time for Reflection ~ Paperbabe #70 Spring Challenge

Good Friday wishes everyone.

Today see's the start of a new challenge over on the Paperbabe blog
with this fortnights theme being Spring right HERE

Here's my take on Challenge #70 Spring Challenge
Introducing my Spring Bunny Girl..

Onto an A6 stitched postcard I traced around the mini female face template
along with the long loose wave hair style. Marking out the facial feature guides
included in the template I stamped those female features in to place.

Spring time colours are introduced using watercolour pencils.

A springtime landscape has been created in my A4 journal using wax pastels
and Bunny Ears created using the White Rabbit template, painted and cut to size.

I cut slots to slide the ears into place adding glitter glue to hide those cuts
along with a little more glitter glue to complement those colours used.

Dots of acrylic paint have been applied to replicate a field of Daffodils
with the Bunny Girl glued into place with those ears left free to give a little movement.

Some may think she is dreaming of sunnier days or maybe
walking gently through the beauty of that field of Daffodils.

I'd like to think she is taking time out to reflect, something
I've been doing lots of recently, very apposite during Holy Week...

Please do pop on over and take a look at all that has been created
by Kim and the Design Team and if you have a spare moment maybe
share your creativity with us over at the Paperbabe #70 Spring challenge.

Wishing you much peace, creativity
and Easter Blessings

Tracey xx

My dear Tracey another most fabulously painted face, and girl- you are absolutely so very talented , and then giving her ears makes her even more cute .
A very beautiful spring creation, and yes, I love your sewing .
I hope your reflection is about good things, and that you have come to a deal with yourself. - Are you also working in Easter days , or can you stay home all the holiday , I you can ?
Wishing you a lovely evening my friend- we have no kids visiting, so very quiet here . Big hugs from Dorthe- xoxo

Hi Tracey, loving your art work today though not sure what she is dreaming about. The piece looks somewhere between a Rousseau and a Dali. Very imaginative and rather magical. Have a lovely Easter weekend, Angela xxx

Thank you Dear Dorthe, she makes me feel very much at peace each time I look at her. I hope you enjoyed your relaxing weekend, ours was a little upside down juggling days with family but always good to spend time with them but missing my creative time. Hope to get some soon.. Sending Big Hugs xx

Thank you very much Sue, hope you had a good Easter?? Currently pouring down with rain here so if we get the snow they have predicted there is not much chance of it sticking as we've had flood warnings all weekend. Happy Bank Holiday :D xx

Oh wow Angela what a complement Thank you so much, maybe it was a subliminal creation as I have been revisiting some of my old Tapestry and embroidery studies from college days. If only I had put some of that artwork to good use back then. Hope your weekend was delightful xx

That means so much Anne, Thank you very much. Hope you had a good Easter?? I'm playing catch up with everything today after the Easter weekend as today's miserable weather doesn't make it a day fit for much else!! xx

Many many thanks Jackie, it's good when we can find something creative that we can loose ourselves in and time escapes us, these do exactly that.
Hope you had a blessed Easter with lots of creativity too xx
