Hello everyone
I'm sharing some love with you all today
revisiting a tutorial from last year that I Loved
hosted by the very talented Laly Mille.
This time created in my February junk journal rather than on canvas.
it's created by collaging recycled scrap papers each with hand written
words of self care, love, gratitude and kindness to oneself.
Covering those written messages with gesso and paint I drew a
focal heart collaged and over painted again, doodling quotes
around the heart, adding machine stitch on the page edge...
As Valentine's Day approaches it can be overwhelming,
please remember to LOVE yourself...

Laly Mille is one of my favorite mixed media artists, too, I love how you took her lesson and made it your own. There is nothing better than sewing on paper, in my opinion. a really beautiful piece for Valentine´s day. I specially love the blue surrounding the heart. For me, blue is more love then red actually :)
I've seen this project flying around Instagram - when I saw yours I thought that looks a lot like Laly's! Wonderful layers! I could only find the trailer video, but I think that's enough for me to have a go too! Hope you're well Tracey! xx
