 Hello everyone,

Desk sharing day @ the Stamping ground

Sorry I was absent last week but I was needed elsewhere,
made it home just before the rains came in time to uproot the
Garlic i've been nurturing since Autumn, a proud moment..😁

Played catch up with the Kaleidoscope Taster week, grateful for the
extra week extension which gave me chance to have a selfish Sunday
all to myself and throw some paint around in my tiny journal.

The piece below was inspired by Angela Anderson, if you've never seen
her work you should check her out on Youtube, very generous tutor..
I've been hooked since her Thimbles & Cotton reels painting in 2020..

Look forward to seeing what's on your workdesk.

Stay safe & creative
Tracey xx

Your garlic is looking good as is your journal page. I wasn’t able to do any of the taster week, although I watched some of the videos. So much easier to do art work at home, at least that’s what I have been telling myself. Have a great week Angela #7

your garlic looks great, well done! I love the journal page - have taken note of the youtube recommendation, I get bored with the same ones all the time and am on the lookout for new channels to follow. happy WOYWW Helen #11

You really made up for last week by being number 1 this week. I love that painting in your journal. You should add that to Art Journal Journey which is butterflies. It's definitely a beauty.

Great that you harvested your garlic. It looks good, too. Now you will have garlic for at least the next four months, unless you use a lot more than I would. Happy WOYWW from # 12.

Wow, lovely bulbs Missus! We’ll done, so nice when something you’ve watched over and been patient about comes to fruition. Bet the taste will be wonderful too, If you can bring yourself to break a bulb open! I’ll happily be in your mind whilst you walk Freya, Murphy loves a play, it tends to involve running in a huge loop at quite a speed, it’s fascinating! its doing my stamina good and on sunny days, it’s really lovely to be ‘forced’ out, I must be honest! I am learning that squishing in a bit of crafting when you have people and a dog is difficult, I love the spread in your journal, and I think keeping it small is no bad thing…means that you can probably walk away with a finished page!

Happy WOYWW and congrats on the No.1 spot. Your garlic is very impressive. I would love to grow veggies/fruit etc. Not heard of Angela - will go and check out her YouTube. Pretty journal pages. Ali x #15

Well, your garden is looking rather gorgeous isn’t it?! Garlic is so satisfying to grow and doesn’t require too much input, lol, my type of gardening. I love that double page spread, will check out that tutorial, I’m enjoying watching things on YouTube even if I’ll never actually make the item. All good research with a cuppa to hand. Hope your MiL is better, sending hugs,

We have garlic to harvest too...think we should have enough to supply all the family :-) I'm searching Pinterest for all sorts of watercolour videos so will have to check that one out for sure. Yours is gorgeous.

Bah! I tried to comment last night but my iPad was being very weird - Mr Linky kept appearing and disappearing and the pages wouldn't load and...BAH! Anyway. I am so happy to see what a wild garlic bulb looks like. We bought a pot of wild garlic pesto and a market once and it was SO good, I fancied making some, but never took the steps to do so. You've reminded me and I think I will have to revisit this idea again!

Happy WOYWW!

Well done with the garlic they look really well grown. The journal pages look lovely, will have to have a look at her work. YouTube is brilliant but I tend to forget what time it is when I watch it and then it's too late to start my own thing so I have promised myself to only watch it on certain days or in the evening. Better go now as two little dogs are ready for their walk. Wishing you a very happy and hopefully creative woyww, Angela x23x

Lovely journal page. Been considering garli myself as shop bought has been so disappointing for ages now. I'm baffled how abroad they seem to keep it in bunches but we get it so dry and shrivelled? I am not however very good at nurturing because I have the attention span of a gnat. Have a good week, stay safe, stay well, love n hugs Cindy #18

Oh I envy you Tracey with those gorgeous bulbs!! I miss having a yard to plant all sorts of things. I'm hoping when I retire, I can acquire a little piece of land somewhere and have a proper garden again! Love your journal spread, I will have to go check out that artist, I haven't heard of her! Have a fabulous rest of your week and blessings to you! Felicia #30

What a beautiful, nature-inspired painting! I signed up for the taster week as well, but didn't have time to participate - I'll definitely check out Angela's YT channel - I think some creators are more generous with their free stuff than others - not criticising anyone, of course! I'm often amazed how much time and energy people put into making free videos and tutorials - I guess they get recognition in return and build a following. I'm more of a follower LOL! I can smell that garlic from here - can taste it too as I've just had garlic and and herbs spread on my crackers! Happy WOYWW, Tracey! Nice to see you again! xx zsuzsa #31

Your garlic harvest is impressive, Tracey! Well done, and well worth the wait. I love your journal page - that is a beautiful painting.

Thank you for your visit, and especially for your good wishes for my upcoming surgery. I am glad you enjoyed seeing the progress in the studio (not too much tidying done this week, what with everything else going on). I love my Really Useful Boxes! They are a brilliant design and stack well. I've also got them in my bathroom and some in the pantry. Glad you liked my card too. I won the Florabunda book, which was a total surprise to me at the time as I never win anything!! It's been a wonderful source of inspiration for line-drawing flowers, and endless variety in colouring them in.

Happy WOYWW,

Hello dear Tracey! I'm back in the land of the living and am happy to get to catch up with your lovely blog. I never knew it took so long to grow garlic! I always wish I had a green thumb, but alas... I adore your gorgeous paint work and appreciate you sharing the artist's info from whom you were inspired. I hope to check her out! Big hugs, Autumn

I like the journal page you have on show today - I must check her out. I have so many You Tube things up on my computer, really should just bookmark them rather than add to them and not watch.
So you have been the administering angel again - good that you got home in time to save the garlic. You are so generous with your time and I am sure it is much appreciated.
Hugs, Neet 10 xx

Well done on that garlic! We have had variable results when we have tried to grow it!
Great journal page. I had every intention to join in kaleidoscope but then we went to stay at our son's place. So much for that!

Your own grown garlic... that must be so awesome to use and taste! And I love that flower-page (I know the name but it won't come to mind right now... and that would only be the Dutch name anyway.. oh wait: "ridderspoor" larkspur but in translation the Dutch name says "spur of a knight"... romantic isn't it?!) Have a great weekend lovely one, big hug from Holland. Marit #13
