AJJ ~ The meaning of.. Winter

 Hello creative friends,

So Winter begins.. frosty days and nights ..

As a child every Christmas Eve i'd be taken to see
the Christmas lights in the City and choose one present.
Always a book or a set of felt tip pens..

I used this napkin last December and remembered how taken
Elizabeth was thinking I had drawn it, so thought i'd use it again.

Can you see where the napkin finishes and where I begin..??

painting in a little toy shop there was always one on the high street full
of dolls houses, the biggest of teddy bears and toys of children's dreams

Mesmerized by the twinkling lights, BIG show stopper star on the tree
and the sweet cinnamon smells from the bakery filling the night air..

Wrapped up in my Winter coat, woolen mittens, scarf and hat
I always hoped for a sprinkling of snow but it never came..

Warm winter wishes
Tracey xx

That is a fabulous napkin Tracey, and what you did with it is really amazing too. What a fantastic page. I like your winter view. Frosty but still an enjoyable season. It would be great to walk down a street by such wonderful shops with your cheeks turning pink from the chill. That sounds nice actually. This has been a fun month at AJJ Tracey. Your challenge is wonderful. Hope you have a happy Christmas if you don't post before then. Hugs-Erika

What a lovely memory Tracey, and it's so clever how you have extended the image from the napkin. It's a magical scene.

I STILL think you drew that scene, Tracey (grin). It's beautiful and so well done, I'm impressed with where the napkin starts and stops, too. Thank you beyond belief for sharing yet another incredible beauty with us using your theme at Art Journal Journey.

What wonderful memories Tracey and what a beautiful scene you have created, it has all the magical wonder of a Christmas, it is an absolute delight. I could not even begin to tell where the napkin ends on your beautiful page.

Keep safe and well my friend, it is such a shame that things are going in the wrong way at the moment... sigh. Hugs, Anne xx

Such a beautiful page! I really couldn't see where your painting began and the napkin finished ...lol 😀. Your Christmas scene is amazing - love it! We popped to the bakery today near my mum's as she wanted some of their bread and meat pies, so yummy! I guess the snowman has the right idea standing right outside with the lovely smell of this fresh cinnamon rolls ...mmm! Thanks so much for joining us at Try it on Tuesday! Happy and creative wishes!
