AJJ ~ The meaning of ... Music

Hello everyone,

a new week begins as I share another page for my

Music has a magical way of evoking emotion and at times
saying those things we find hard to convey with words.

underneath this display is a multitude of musicians, genres,
bands and solo artists that have influenced me over the years.

Sheet music, stencils, paint and stamps fill the background

The acoustic guitar is hand drawn with bakers twine
strings holding a mother of pearl paper plectrum.

I'm sure we can all identify a song or soundtrack
that triggers a memory or moment from our past..

Music Speaks..!!

Wishing you all a super safe week

Creative wishes
Tracey xx

This is absolutely breathtaking, Tracey. I am in awe. My musician friend says music is the universal language and I believe him. This is quite inspirational and perfect for your theme at Art Journal Journey, too.

That guitar is amazing Tracey. I just love the baker's twine strings too. You re so right about music speaking so much to us also. It's always interesting how certain songs can bring us back to another time and place, even decades later. Right now I love listening to the oldie Christmas music I grew up with. The kind my parents liked with Perry Como and Bing Crosby to name a few. Those types of songs say Christmas to me. This page is another great addition this month Tracey at AJJ. Happy new week. Hugs-Erika

Wow. I could see this as a poster for a concert or musical play. Lovely art and yes music speaks. Enjoy your day.

This is such a wonderful way to interpret/express the theme, your guitar looks amazing against the wonderful background you created. Your page has soul!

Music is definitely inspiring, I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday but I can remember the words to (almost) every song I have ever listened to...

Keep safe and well in these crazy times. Hugs, Anne xx

Wow Tracey you've done it again! What a magnificent piece of art, and you are so right about music, it's the soundtrack to our lives. I know the songs that were popular when I was a child and they were on the radio. Then others from my teenage years when I played them on repeat and drove my mum and dad mad lol. Your guitar is absolutely stunning, it should definitely be on a poster. Take care and have a very Merry Christmas xx

Such a fabulous Music page! The guitar looks fabulous and I love the strings and mother of pearl plectrum - I love it 😁. I enjoy listening to music and I've noticed my Christmas art journal pages this year seem to be song related. Do you play the guitar, my hubby plays bass guitar and often plays and learns new songs when I'm in my craft room, so music is integral to my crafting so this page is perfect for me ...lol 😉. Happy and creative wishes! Hugs, Jo x
