WoywW #565

Hello everyone,
is it Wednesday again?

Time for our weekly meet up over @ the stamping ground
to see what's on work desks far & wide thanks to Julia.

Monday evening I found this stamp set asleep on my door mat..
I really don't need anymore stamps, I have more than enough but
when I saw this A4 Daisy Elegance set designed by Tracy Evans
I knew they would be a great companion through Spring..

I'm working my way slowly through the mini books from the
tower I showed you last week but i've become a little distracted
since Monday.. Sat colouring this morning I forgot to write my
WoywW #565 post silly me... 😏

Another lovely parcel arrived over the weekend
isn't this the sweetest little creation..

Purchased from Max @ Tilly Tea Dance please do check out Max's
amazing work and eye for detail I know many of you already have.

It now makes a great friend to my felted poppies.
Thanks to Jo for sending me over here again &
to Max for her inspiring creations *Sigh* ..

Hope you are all looking after yourselves?

Trying to keep the chin up of precious people in my life
when I can not be there to give a hug or share a smile
is such a difficult thing, not everyone can skype,
what's app or face time.

Their health and well being is beginning to put a strain on my own.
So to try and gather some form of routine back into my own life I'm
trying to dedicate certain times in the week especially for blogger.

I feel it's a routine I need more than ever now as most of my
previous routine is now suspended in time...

Look forward to seeing what's on your work desks.

Please take care everyone
Tracey xx

Hi Tracey. How true that comment is - our lives feel like they have been suspended - pared down to the bone. Family and friends are so important aren't they just now. I find that I work and be best if I have half a dozen different projects on the go at once so I can keep swapping and changing. Obviously a very low concentration level!!! Do take care of your own health and well being at this time.
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

Not be able to see/touch our loved ones and finding new routines is very difficult, I, too, don't 'app' or 'skype' or 'facetime'... and I think I spend way too much time on facebook doing nothing. I'm glad I could join woyww today and visit 'real and longer stories/blogpost', that's so much better than the 'fast' quotes and comments that people put on facebook. Thanks for visiting my blog too earlier. Take care and stay safe dear! Marit #24

Everything has changed in the past weeks. Even when you are caring for others, you need time for yourself. Have fun with your new stamp, the picture is lovely, too. Stay safe and well! Hugs, Valerie

Wow, I can totally see why your ordered that beautiful stamp, and I love the colours you've chosen for it - I do love aqua and yellow together, it's the most glorious summery combination. That's such a sweet little picture by Max, she is so talented isn't she.
I hope you have a good week, stay safe and well and enjoy your crafting time,

What fantastic colours you've used on that stamp, I love the teal/orange combo, so gorgeous! And if you can't treat yourself at the moment when we all need cheering up..... I think you're doing exactly the right thing taking time to make sure you're crafting and having time for yourself. I'm worrying about children far away as well but they know what to do to keep safe.

Scrumptious colouring on that gorgeous stamp - and what a lovely parcel of joy to receive. It's going to be things like that which keep us going - making sure we treat ourselves every now and then. Stay safe.

Hi Tracey, I agree the stamp is stunning, I'm not surprised you wanted it. Max's felt works of art are lovely, great choice! Good idea to set time aside for blogging. Our lives are a bit topsy turvy now, so every small amount of structure and control and normality will make us feel better. Have a lovely week and stay safe and well, hugs Heather xx #33

Hi Tracey, I so understand how you feel as I have parents in their 90s and we cannot visit them. They still live together in their own home and we had, thank goodness, arranged for carers to visit and Wiltshire Farm Foods to deliver their meals though we still do some shopping for them and just hope that they have enough to keep them going for a while but my mum sounds so fed-up when I speak to her on the phone and I can't really do anything else at the moment, I feel so sorry for them. Anyway loving the stamp set and the felting too. Take care and have a lovely woyww and a happy creative week, Angela x18x

My dad and his wife are in their mid 80s but doing well. We live next to them so can keep an eye on them. They are handling this situation fairly well.
Your coloring is fabulous! And your felted poppies, oh my!
Thanks for popping by and have a wonderful week!

Oh Tracey, I love the way you have coloured Tracy's gorgeous daisy, it is so, so beautiful in those colours. I do find colouring quite relaxing these days amidst all the bad news.

I had a look at Tilly Tea Dance, the pieces are stunning but then I do love sheep - a lot! I can feel a purchase coming on....

We have been in lock down for over two weeks now and just getting used to it but going from totally independent to depending on others is hard to get used to! I hope and pray the dreadful virus slows soon, it is all quite frightening. Take care and keep safe. Hugs, Anne xx

Gorgeous stamp and how you are colouring and creating is breathtaking. It is hard as we adjust to these times but, I find the lack of face to face contact with family is the most devastating. Thank goodness for technology which helps somewhat and keep creating we have this outlet that can bring such joy to others. Stay safe and even though I am a whole hemisphere away you are in my thoughts and I look forward to our little chat and sharing our creative endeavours :)

Hi Tracey
I think you are right, routine is the way we are going to get through this and enjoying the company of our virtual friends can be a real tonic. I really look forward to WOYWW and chatting to like minded people. I love the stamp you have on your desk, it's really hard not to be tempted by all the AALL and Create stamps isn't it? Your felted flowers are amazing, I just love them.
Take care and enjoy your week

Good Morning Tracey, had to take an outside break yesterday, our SUNSHINE is too far in between being available. Enjoyed a walk in our countryside. OH WOW I love that beautiful PAGE It is frame able ! I do love Tracy's stamps. here hard to find, and postage is high. And I also LOVE Max's works of art. I love the felted items her mom and aunt have sent during our ATC exchange. I love it when young people have a dream and make it work. Most everything is closed here. I miss our breakfast gathering with friends a couple times a week, visiting grands 3 hrs away (their area hit hard) But I do enjoy being home. 50 yrs working was enough for me ! You take care, enjoy all you love and Stay Safe.

Thanks for your lovely comments about Tilly and for displaying her work so beautifully. All will be well I am sure - orders keep dribbling in! I keep telling her to do some sunflowers - we all love them don't we. Take care and keep safe. xx Jo

Hi Tracey, love the new stamp, and the other goodies you got in the post. The lockdown isn't really affecting my day to day life because I'm always at home anyway - the only thing is that I can't get delivery slots for my groceries so my hubby has to risk going out to get our weekly shop. It is also lovely having him at home all the time, when usually he's out and about a lot.

Keep safe and well, keep smiling, and happy belated WOYWW,

Your blogpost makes so much sense and has got me thinking. I wondered why I have not been producing much and not doing anything much at all - it is because I have been spending too much time on the computer and FB in particular. I have been trying to cheer folks up with my journal pages and encouraging them to post their work so that means I feel I have to keep checking to see what they have done. Perhaps I should do a bit of a timetable for my days. Thanks for that Tracey.
Love your flower, can understand how you lost track of time in colouring it in - certainly is a beautiful image and has many uses I don't doubt.
Stay safe and well
Hugs, Neet 2 xx
ps love Maxine's work x

Sorry I’m late Tracey. I’ve done what you are considering, cut back on screen time by so much that I can’t get to the desks within my allotted time. I’ve clearly been too rigid, but decided to keep to it this week and relax just the blogging section next week. I haven’t missed FB much, and the other bits of structure are really helping. My lovely man is still working and comes home for lunch which is really helpful in terms of routine and structure. I worry for you - trying to be the connection for loved ones that come to rely on you - i know they don’t have screens for skype etc, but you should reach out locally for them, the odd doorstep visit and help from another source will take some pressure off you - and the help is there, believe me, for the asking. YOu definitely need more time with stamps and colouring. Just look at that fabulous floral...makes my eyes shine, its so lovely. And such a great therapy - you must force yourself to get to it. Tell them that I said so!!

Such a beautiful stamp set and I'm loving the flower that you created, the colours and shading are stunning 😁. The felt pieces are gorgeous, I took a look at the shop and wow, so many amazing designs to chose from, I know my sister would love these! It's hard not being able to give hugs to those you love, isn't it! I feel the same and have found I'm spending much more time on the phone and on video calls to everyone than I usually do so much so I'm establishing a different routine too. Thanks for your kind birthday wishes, yes we should hook up sometime 😁. Happy and creative wishes! Keep well! Hugs, Jo x

Wow Tracey! That stamp is gorgeous. I would not be able to resist the tempation to buy it either. It's a great image to color. I have so many stamps too and yet, I still look and buy new ones. Crafting is a dangerous addiction!!
The artwork you purchases is so pretty and perfect for spring. Thank goodness spring is here and soon more flowers to see in nature. I know that will help lift my spirits. Thanks for the visit. Have a blessed weekend and stay well.

So very true, I feel routine is the key to times like this, it may be a new routine, but still a routine.
Love the idea of stamps asleep on the door mat, I think I need to use that when hubby spots my next purchase ;-)

Thanks for visiting my desk already
