What's on your workdesk this Wednesday? #563

Hello everyone,

Popping in to share what's been on my workdesk
as it's Wednesday & before another week zooms on by.

It's all been somewhat busy here with important people
to attend to in the light of what's happening world wide
there's been quite a few Birthdays in between...

Here's one of the cards I remembered to photograph..

and a little textured pot I revamped with a lick of paint.

Taken yesterday afternoon this space awaits a crafting day.

My Daughter is now over from Sweden, she made the decision
to be near to the family rather than run the risk of being
stranded in the tiny village she now lives in.
Picking her up from Manchester Airport can't tell you how
nervous we were seeing airlines start to cancel flights.

We are all in it together now...
what a ray of light that is.

Hope everyone is looking after themselves and those that
need help have people around them to lend a hand..??
Look forward to seeing WOYWW #563

Stay creative everyone
Hugs Tracey xx

That card is quite striking with those beautiful bold colours against that strong white, love it! And your little pot is lovely to look at too.
I wondered what the honeycomb effect was that you keep your pens in, looks very clever and quite an eyecatching piece of equipment too. In fact you look very well organised in your crafting,no wonder you produce such beautiful thing.Hugs, Neet 1 xx

Happy WOYWW. I love that pot. Glad that your daughter is safely home with you. My family is scattered all around the world. My mum is 5 hours away, and she is having to stay indoors mostly (she is 77 and has asthma). At time like this I wish we were all in the same village! Ali x #9

Beautiful card but, I have to say your desk is amazing in it's organisation and tidiness. As well as being stylish in its theme. Enjoy your time with your daughter. Stay safe and keep crafting.

I'm so glad your girl is back home, we just feel better when we have our family close! It's so tricky to judge what is sensible and right to do in coping with the virus, we've got to be careful as G falls into a few of the be careful categories. But it's lovely to have to time to craft away without feeling guilty!

Oh dear.. these are strange times and all we can do is sit, craft and wait... it's good to have your daughter at home! I cannot even visit my parents now (they live close-by but are old and a risk to visit...) and my son lives in another area - we do phone a lot these days! We're not homebound completely in Holland (we are still alowed to go outside) but social isolation, yes. And the place I work closed its doors (as do the schools, pubs, restaurants and most shops) and since I cannot do my work at home, I am unemployed now. It feels strange to have no job all of a sudden... I'm glad I have my online friends! Take care, stay healthy! Big virtual hug from the Netherlands! Marit #21

I also love your little pot! Our daughter is near Boston, commuted in and out of the city until now and is working from home. Also three sons are somewhat scattered, one in NYC. We simply have to respond to this as a *whole world*, not just individual towns, cities. states and countries all doing different levels of things.

How lucky you are to have your daughter with you. I wish I could say the same. Mine just got back to Toronto (the coronavirus epicentre in Ontario) from Cost Rica, and is in isolation.
Your little pot is so cute! And your workspace looks awesome, all ready for some serious crafting. Stay safe, have a great week, Lindart #26

Beautiful birthday card my friend. I have self isolated myself and trying to stay healthy. I always do this during cold and flu season so I'm ok being at home all the time. I have lots of time to craft and my plan is to make flowers!

Hi Tracey, if I've not been around much I make no apologies Lol! We went skiing and I was finding it difficult to keep on top of the blogging but we're back now and pleased we went a week early this year as they closed the resorts in France the Saturday that we came home but I tell more on my friday post. Hope your daughter arrives safely. Take care and wishing you a happy creative WOYWW, Angela x12x

Such a beautiful card Tracey and oh how I love that re-vamped pot, the colours are wonderful and those 'leaves' look quite realistic.

So glad your daughter made it back home, it must be such a relief for all of you. All is well here, we have quarantined ourselves due to age and health, trying to do our bit to keep ourselves and others free from the virus. I think it is going to be a long haul but crafting will ease the boredom no doubt. Take care my friend. Hugs, Anne xxx

PS, always love seeing your crafty space! xx

Hi Tracey. Finally I can comment. That card is lovely - bright colours - glorious colouring! Well done. Remember to take care of yourself, too, in these times which are like shifting sand. Glad your daughter made it safely home.
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

Hi Tracey, looking at your card, and Shaz's and Sandra's, I'm quite embarrassed that I posted how much I liked my tulip card lol. That will teach me to keep my mouth shut. So pleased you have your daughter home and safe with you. My daughters are 30 and 60 minutes away, but I'm dreading the UK going in lockdown and I can't see them as much as I do. We can video call each other but it's not the same. But, we all have to stay safe, so if that is what it takes, then so be it. Although if you lived closer, I think your desk would tempt me to pay a visit and craft with you.... all looks interesting and lots of goodies to try out. Stay safe, and have a lovely week Heather xx #13

Tracey that card is beautiful!I am glad your daughter decided to be closer. It is a good to be close when times are uncertain. I am so happy we have our WOYWW group to connect to. I am in the US so it's nice to hear how other countries are holding up. Schools are closed and all non-essential businesses as well. It is such a blessing that we have crafts to occupy some of this time. It is great for the stress. Well if you have some time, pop on over to my desk.
Stay well.

Oh Tracey, I’m so late, sorry, but love your mug, great texture on it, wonderful card too, love the Bragg red so cheery using it on a card at mo, not something I do often!
The best but about your post was your daughter being home again safely, yes I’ve been into and out of Manchester airport twice, quite big, no fun! Especially in uncertainty of times. However we may not know what the future holds, but we know Who hold the future! Praise Him
Thanks for being a blessing, and may God bless you too, especially in these troubled times, may we look up in faith! Praying you’re all kept well too!
Hugs, Shaz in Oz.x 😊 #16

Thanks for your return visit, Tracey - so glad you've got that recipe book too! I made my first dish from it today and it was great. I hope you manage to make your own herb garden. Having it raised is a real boon.

Nice to have a little catch up and so happy to hear your daughter made it back before all the transportation stopped. I was supposed to be in the Czech Republic this week to liaise with builders - no go, of course, so it's still all having to happen by phone - not so easy, but it is what it is.

Lovely bold flowers, and that leafy pot is very sweet. But I'm mostly taken with your beautiful storage containers - what an inspiring set up to have in front of you - and it all looks so orderly too. Are the containers wooden? I love the hexagonal storage, but even better the squares and rectangles - just lovely.
