Challenge #114 ~ Paperbabe Stamps *Anything Goes*

Happy Friday Creative Friends,

It's challenge time over on the Paperbabe Stamps Blog
this fortnight it's *Anything Goes* so come share your
crafty makes with us over HERE...

Here's what I got up to..

I'm very lucky that my Mother in Law's Garden is full of
flat rocks and pebbles. When I recently came across this
one it's shape really reminded me of a head.

Inspired by my blogging Rock Painting Friends
I'm sharing a painted rock of my very own today.

First adding a coat of gesso I stamped the closed eye
face stamp from the Paperbabe female dinky face set
onto the flat surface delicately painting with acrylics.

I stamped the Paperbabe hand under her chin by placing the
dinky hand stamp onto the end of my finger, this made it much
easier to get an impression around the curved edges as I could
manipulated the stamp around the curves, repeating the process
with flowers taken from the Flourishing Hair stamp set.

Painting those stamped outlines I added the detail,
coating the finished rock with satin varnish..

I love how peaceful she looks,
each time I look at her I wonder what she see's
behind those closed eyes dreaming of beautiful things...

Come see what the team have created over HERE
and join in with our Anything Goes Paperbabe Challenge.

I look forward to seeing what delights you have for our eyes.

Creative Hugs
Tracey xx

This brought back such happy memories - I used to love painting stones on childhood holidays. The serene face in the midst of all those flowers is absolutely charming - and I can just imagine how lovely it must feel in your hand too.

Thank you for visiting and commenting on my blog. We have some things in common, being creative with numerous media. My hands have rebelled against some of those things now so I am focused on painting. So taken with your painted rocks, and working in small detail is always relaxing.

Absolutely incredible, Tracey. You do SO well with those Paperbabe stamps and this rock is just one more example of how you can create incredible art using any substrate. Most impressive art and it looks like a fun idea for Rain's Art Date, too.

Dear Tracey, what a lovely, and beautiful idea, of painting the stone - she is beautiful resting a bit there, among the flowers,- I`m sure she have peaceful and happy thoughts . So amazingly painted, as always, but on a stone it is even more to admire!!
Sending you big hugs and wishes all is well , dear friend. xoxoxoxoxo

I used to paint rocks with my granddaughter when she was younger, but nothing as beautiful as you have accomplished here. It is something to behold (or see, in keeping with Rain's prompt). I hope you will come again to Rain's so we can all appreciate your talents.
