Picture Inspiration ~ Paperbabe Stamps blog Challenge #111

Hello Creative Friends,

Time for a new Paperbabe Stamps Challenge #111
this fortnight we ask you to use the picture below to
inspire your stamped creations.

Here's what I created and how it came to be..

Using a page taken from my New Junk Journal for 2020 I
painted over the text using white gesso to create white space.
Stamping a Flourish taken from the new Flourishing Hair Stamp set
dots of colour similar to the prompt add interest around the page.

Stamping one if the flowers taken from the *NEW* Flourishing Hair
Stamp set on to scribbled dots of colour this is such a quick
and easy way to create.

I used the NEW Flourishing Hair Mask aperture to trace around a
Paperbabe Dinky Female Face i'd found partially coloured.
Cut out she will fit perfectly into that stamped flourish...

Words taken from the Flourish and Grow set add a statement.

Cutting and pasting the face into the flourishing hair stamp a
wash of watercolour creates her hair with the cut and formed
flowers glued in place helping frame this Paperbabe design.

I do hope you can join us this fortnight.
Pop on over HERE there's lot's more to see..
and a prize of course for one very lucky winner!!

Sending creative Hugs your way
Tracey xx

Happy to be playing along today with..

Tracey, you silly girl. I consider us friends. For me that is NOT obligatory. You have given me so much to brighten my life. Even if we don't converse everyday I know that when you think of me you are sending me the best as I do for you. I am blessed to have you in my life, thank you. Now for your art. REALLY???? SHE IS BEAUTIFUL You have used those colors magnificently. I admire your art so much. When I have tried to do this type of art, it comes out so wrong. LOL Think I will stick to sketching.
Have the best weekend.

I wouldn't give those stamps a second look but what you create with them is always gorgeous, Tracey. Love reading your process, too. I think we (or maybe just I) tend to overthink things and make them more difficult than they need be. Such a great way to incorporate the colours into your design, while leaving lots of space to enjoy the text background. This is beautiful.
Thanks for sharing with us at Try it on Tuesday.

You definitely created your own magic by taking a gessoed page and turning it into a beautiful work of art. The face is stunning, I love how you created her hair and you captured the inspiration photo perfectly with your embellishing. Love, love, love this Tracey! Hope you are having a good weekend. Hugs, Anne xx

Love this and the idea of the dots and gorgeous results. Is that a jar you have used for your stamping? I am fascinated by your work and just love it.xx

Tracey@Hotchpotchcreations said...

Hi Annie, that thing that looks like a jar is an acrylic stamp peg from Card-io Stamps, they are great for smaller stamps and a good weight to hold in the hand.. but i'm sure a flat bottomed jar would work just as good. I've used all sorts of things to stamp with in my time ;-D
