What's on your Workdesk Wednesday ~ 508

Hello Creative Friends

Oh my... i'm not sure where the last two weeks went eaten away with
Hospital/Dr's/Vets appointments, Family get together's, Family visits
and care work. There's not been much time left for creativity.

Time to change all that and get back to it... there's work to be done.

I'm here today to share What's on my Work Desk and check out
shared desks over at the Stamping Ground thanks to Julia.

Here's my desk this morning with some handmade cards that need sending.
So many Birthdays in Feb, Mar and Apr. The card below was a very quick
card created for my Son who turned 25 on Sunday. Thanks to Anne for
helping me out with this one you really was a life saver xx

Update on Life and Love, our wee dog is still under observation
to find what's causing her poor skin condition. Her recent blood tests
have returned inconclusive so i'm now looking into natural remedy's..
as the vet seems pretty useless apart from taking their fee's.

and finally for those that may remember Hubby can at last restart
his Cardio-rehab after getting the all clear from his latest scan..
I've never known him so eager to start exercising hee hee!!

Thanks for stopping by everyone.
Looking forward to seeing WoywW

Creative Hugs
Tracey xx

Life just takes over doesn't it? I'm so pleased that your hubby's scans are good - the cardio boot camp helped my hubby a lot after his op. The card for your son is brilliant, I like the pared back vibe!

Hi Tracey, before I forget, I read about your poorly dog and wondered if this might help. It's by Sea Treats and called Cold Pressed Salmon Oil. My girl schnauzer has very dry skin and this has helped loads. Just need to add a small amount to their food. Obviously I don't know what the problem is but lots of the dog food sold does not have enough oil included. We used to feed Eukanuba to dogs in the past and never had this problem but it has become very expensive so we're adding this instead and it's worked for Maisie so it's worth a try. Better mention hubby too, don't want him thinking he's less important Lol! so sending hugs to them both! Now back to the crafty stuff. Gorgeous card, I am obsessed with these stamps at the moment. Like you there are so many birthday cards to be made so I had better stop playing and get them finished. Happy woyww and wishing you a happy creative week, Angela x14x

Good news about hubby, I am exercising to "Nightfever" these days - physio suggested I might relax more if I played music. Might be a tip for your DH. Not so about your poor little dog. Hope the alternative treatments help, it's not at all nice seeing them distressed.
Love the desk - amazing how the flowers brighten it up, I might move my tulips in my craft room now. Also love the card for your son - is it an AAL & Create image?

Sounds like you've been having a serious dose of life - it's all been pretty much the same here, except we have a cat, hubby is waiting for all clear to return to work after a collapse at work - I too have mega numbers of birthdays at this time of year (just as the bank balance recovers from Christmas!!). My son is also 25 this month - and looking at your card I'm thinking maybe something similar would suit, slightly grungy and abstract. Thanks for the inspiration!! Have a good Wednesday, Cindy #17

Lovely card and well organized desk. I like all of the compartments. I'm sorry to hear about your dog. I'm glad your husband is doing somewhat better.

That's a very trendy-looking card - edgy even! Hope doggie and husband are doing well - and not in this order of importance, of course! Hope you'll find more creative time available as family is on the mend. Thanks so much for your visit - happy 40th to me indeed LOL! I could probably get away with it in low lighting. Hope it's sunny in your part of the woods too! Enjoy while it lasts! zsuzsa #18

You have a lovely organised desk and your son's card is brilliant, I have some papers with instruments on them, I've struggled to use some of them but seeing your card reminded me I have them!!
Pleased to hear the good news for your hubby, mine has heart problems, we walk every day, usually and I try to get him doing a good pace, it's his dodgey knees that defeat him though, always something isn't there.
Have a good week.

I think I lost my former comment so I type it again, with the risk you will receive it twice... but I do want to let you know that I am in ooooh and awe (is that the right expression?) over your card. The graphic design, the red stitching, just marvelous!!! I hope your hubby can start excercising soon and that you find a remidy for your poor dog's skin... Did the sun come out at your place too today? Did you spend time being creative? I sure hope so! We had a sunny Spring-like day here with 17 degrees Celcius! They say it will get colder as of tomorrow so I made good use of today by spending most of it outside. Creating will have to wait for grey days. I do hope your day was as good as mine. Happy woyww, hug from sunny Holland. Marit #15

Dear Tracey,
so good to hear , your husband is now allowed to start exercising , and that all looks just fine- must be such a relief for you both .Your little friend , - could it be something in the food , an allergic reaction ? well maybe the vet already looked into that ..... But hopefully you are able to help her, getting better, dear friend.
The card is spot on to a 25 year young man , congratulations with him,- I`m sure he loved it !!
Sending you big hugs, from Dorthe xx

Such a beautiful card! My hubby plays Bass guitar so I'm loving the guitar stamp that you used and your red stitching finishes the design perfectly ๐Ÿ˜. Glad to hear your hubby is doing well and I hope you find a natural remedy for your dog's skin condition - poor thing! Wishing you a happy and creative week! J ๐Ÿ˜Š x

Hi Tracey, good news about your hubby though you might find his enthusiasm for exercise will wain in time - well, if he is anything like my hubby it will. Sorry that your dog is suffering - could it be an allergy that's at the root of his problems. Many years ago we had a dog that developed skin problems which turned out to be the result of a diet too high in protein. A change of diet was the answer - more rice, less protein. Love the card you made for your son's 25th - great stamping and the red stitching the perfect finishing touch. Have a good week. Elizabeth x #20

I need to come and sit at your desk and just admire all your stuff. Its wonderful.
Good news on your hubby, its frightening when things go wrong. Philip has sepsis and pneumonia in September and it frightend the life out of both of us. Thankfully he has made a complete recovery now. Give your little fur baby a cuddle from me.

Tracey, So glad your hubby has the ok to start up the cardio rehab.

Lovely flowers on your desk.

The card is fab.

I find Aloe Gel is fab for most things for dogs and humans. It's not cheap, but you don;t use much each time. I get mine from here:

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Tracey, the card for your son is fabulous, I love the red stitching, it is a beautiful accent. Glad to have been of some assistance!

I am so sorry to hear about your poor dog though and the fact that the vet has not been able to diagnose the problem. I really hope that alternative remedies work, they will likely be cheaper than a trip to the vet anyway... :(

Well done to hubby, it is so lovely to know that he is making such great progress... hopefully you might now be able to find little windows of time to be creative, I think we all miss seeing your gorgeous designs! Big hugs, Anne xxx

Hi Tracey, you've a lovely desk and that's a fabulous card.
Good news for your hubby - he must have felt so constrained until he could get the go ahead :D)
I'm sure a natural alternative will help for your doggie, some great suggestions in the comments above. Cheers xx

What good news on your husband's part, but not so good on your poor dog's part. I can relate to the idea of vet bills with no results. And I can relate to life getting in the way of computer time.

I can never believe how many supplies you can get into that tiny space. I am in awe, truly in AWE. Hope your Wednesday was great.
