Log cabin..Wooden Plaque.

I was so happy when I first saw this Rubber Dance stamp set designed by Donna Gray.
I love log cabins and this stamp reminds me of some fantastic holidays
spent with the children when they were younger.

Sadly time is so short this time of year rushing around trying to get things done for the holiday season and I have so many #WIP's but I did take time out to finish this one.

Here is one of my little makes with lots of pictures..

Stamping onto an untreated log slice using archival ink
I mapped out where my images were to be.

Using the stamped images as a guide I painted the trees in different shades of green.

adding flicks of blue to the firs applying snow-tex to the base.

Stamping the log cabin multiple times onto water colour card
each image was coloured in water soluble pencil and sections cut out.

Each section was layered up and adhered using glue gel to create dimension.

The log cabin roof was drizzled in marvy and heated until raised,
with the tree tops and snow-tex both given a wash of white paint.

A sprinkling of glamour dust completes my
Log Cabin plaque.

**Updated picture as we have had lots of snow fall over night!!**

A most enchanting setting for the sweetest of cabins,
wouldn't it be wonderful to be hidden away all cosy inside.

**Can I have a She Shed just like this one for Christmas please Santa??
I've been a very good girl.. Hee hee!*

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone
Take Care & keep warm

Creative Hugs Tracey xx

I'd like to link this up with the Rubber Dance *Forever Stamping Challenge*

WOW! This is absolutely gorgeous, Tracey! So cool that you have made this winter scene on a real log slice! Love the layered the sections and shading on the log cabin, and the snow on the roof is quite realistic looking! I certainly wouldn't mind a She Shed like this, so let's hope Santa will be generous to us both ;-)
Thank you so much for using our stamps and entering your beautiful make to our Forever challenge at Rubber Dance! ♥

Thank you Bibi, I think we all wouldn't say no to a *She Shed* just like this. I'm not pinning my hopes on getting one though especially from Santa hee hee!!
Glad you like my little make, could have done with a better photgraph.. Maybe take another outdoors with a snowy background.. Enjoy the rest of your weekend xx

I would love a 'she' shed like this among the snow and beautiful trees covered with snow...all I got is a craft room with the heat coming through the window and an air conditioner to cool me down...
On a serious note, I just adore this plaque and you are very clever in the making.xxx[aNNie]🎄

The wood substrate is just perfect for these rustic stamps from Donna - and your little wooden cabin looks like a wonderful hideaway in the wintry woods - lovely!

Indeed Annie but you have one better than me with your dedicated craft room, maybe one day but not wishing away the time with my family.
Our weather is on opposite ends of the spectrum, temperature fluctuating between 0 to -3c windows firmly closed and the heating on..
Glad you like my plaque .. xx

This is truly fabulous Tracey,
I too love how you have layered the cabin- making it look so real, and yes cozy , to hide away in.- I love it with the trees behind, and the snow so beautiful. Gorgeous art piece.
