Lindsay Mason Zendoodle Seahorse (Ready to go) from Personal Impressions

Poor internet connection, Easter Bank Holiday & a New Art Journal could only mean one thing time to rotate some art/craft materials and have a play..!

I stamped Lindsay Masons Zendoodle Seahorse PICSA6411 using white Gesso onto black card and painted using Luminarte H2o's. this gave the shimmering affect I was looking for. I outlined the seahorse using a fine white posca marker (my personal favourite for black card.) Glossy accents were added to highlight areas on the image along with various embellishments. The stamped image was cut out using Tim Holtz Alterations Tag dies.

My A3 Art work is a painted underwater scene using IndigoBlu English Cottage Acrylics and hand drawn inktense and fine liner pen...doodles..!!
The tag is both removable and usable being suspended by wire pins from the spiral bound Journal.

Lindsay Mason Designs *Gnome Door Stamp Set* (Personal Impressions-Sweet Dixie Range)

I'm a little later than anticipated getting this Blog finished but better late than never.
When I first came across the Gnome Door stamp set by Lindsay Mason Designs I fell in love with it.
My initial thought was to make the Door appear small in stature by using it on a 12x12 page or possibly a large Canvas, but I didn't want the image to get lost within the page so jumping to my end thought I decided to make it the focal feature of my design.

Gathering up materials I intended to use I stamped the Gnome Door on Watercolour card. I know watercolour card can be very thirsty when using alcohol markers but I love the effect and think that it holds the vibrancy of the colour used, sometimes better than good quality stamping card.

After colouring the Door I used an embossing tool to enhance the grooves of the wooden door  and added some gunmetal Stickles (Yes I am slightly addicted to the stuff!!) Giving it that rustic look.

I used a pin to apply rangers glossy accents to add texture to the grass, this gives a great affect also acting as a resist.

Finally I decided to frame the door using Sue Dix Delicate Blossoms Sweet Dixie Dies a beautiful selection of flowers & foliage....
Both Stamp & Die sets are available from Personal Impressions
As Lindsay Mason says all NEW stamps are now being branded under the Sweet Dixie range with each artist's name on the reverse of the pack.
So, if you're looking for Lindsay's NEW stamps be sure to look for the PINK..!!!

Lindsay Mason Zendoodle RTG Teddy (Sweet Dixie Stamps)

I was working on this little fella when I received the news that I had been selected to join the Lindsay Mason Design Team. Absolutely delighted I thought I best jump to it and finish the wee fella off. This stamp set is The Lindsay Mason Zendoodle RTG Teddy (Sweet Dixie Stamps)

As you may be able to tell the image is quite sizeable giving a great area to work with. (Apologies for the picture quality & shadows both the light & my sight have not been kind today.)
I'd decided this little Ted was out to impress but somehow he still hadn't quite made it, even with his quirky tangle of patterns for me it was his little Bow Tie that would make his own personal statement.

Keeping Teds body colours muted using promarker cool & ice greys & adding random spots of gunmetal stickles from ranger I gave him a bright pink Bow Tie adding highlights of pink wink of stella to give him that added sparkle. I decided to give him a double bow as I thought he deserved it..!

A little shading around his edges and he's finished.. I'm already thinking of Christmas with this stamp is that so wrong in March..?? Hope you like him..?

Happy crafting lovely people.. Hugs from Tracey xx
