A card for all occasions created for the Indigoblu April blog challenge *spring is in the air*
There are so many useful elements within IndigoBlu's Floral Fantasy Stamp Set and I really couldn't wait to have this set in my collection.
Onto a 6'x6' piece of watercolour Card I painted a wash of colour using Indigoblu English Cottage Artist's Acrylic Paint Grandma's Teacup and stamped the large Flower onto it. The stamping does not need to be perfect (as you can see) as the first & second layer are just used for positioning.

I then stamped the Flower head and leaves numerous times as I wanted to build up the layers. The Flowers were painted using Indigoblu English Cottage Wimberry Pie Pink Iced Gem . The flower head was over stamped using Archival ink after painting to add depth of shadow to the flowers.

Texture paste was used on the base card to add interest before the Flower image was built up. Ranger Stickles Glue and Gilding Flakes were added along with some wink of stella to add a little sparkle. Finally embellishments of Ribbon & Lace were added before the card was machine sewn onto two contrasting matts of grey and lilac.

The Earth Laughs in Flowers is just one of Three Sentiments/sayings in the Floral Fantasy Set along with the Butterfly which is the smallest of two within the set.

A delightful stamp set giving me the inspiration to create a card that could be given on many occasion. Thank you for taking a Crafty peek... Creative Hugs from Tracey xx
