Creative Artiste ~ #117 Anything Mixed Media Goes

Hello Creatives

It's time for July's challenge @ Creative Artiste
our theme is always Anything Mixed Media Goes..

The weather has been so hot already on our second heatwave
as we tiptoe into Summer, Spring gave us so little rain,
landscape/gardens have suffered but the wildflowers still bloom.

Here's my mixed media creation to display their beauty...

On a gel print background stencilled and layered with washi tape I
stamped wildflowers and leaves. Painted with acrylic paint I added
die cut flowers found in my stash whilst having a micro tidy 😊
already with a tickle of watercolour I exaggerated their
presence with pencil, pen and gems.

The large purple flower reminds me so much of Malva which
shows up in my garden no matter the weather and the
pollinators love it. Finished with a word strip from TH
paying homage to the wonder of wildflowers..

Come share you mixed media magic with the design team HERE
and please remember to MIX UP YOUR ARTY MEDIA...

Take care & stay creative
Tracey xx

Beautiful, really does remind me of a flowering border in a cottage garden, you have managed to get the feeling of depth and that something is happening behind the focal flowers at the front. Nature truly is magic

I would love my garden to look this bold. In reality all my flowers have wonderful color but get lost in all the green of the leaves. This is gorgeous Tracey. I love it. I love those flowers especially against that robins eggs blue. Thanks for joining Halle's challenge. And I hope July has started out well for you. And I hope you're enjoying some outside time too and your parents duties are not too overwhelming. hugs-Erika

So beautiful, Tracey! Flowers boldly breaching the boundaries of your journal makes it all look so real. I love your layers and depth as always, and the striking colors. Wishing you a creative July! Take care. Anita xx

There are so many things I like about this journal page. I love the sewing around the edges and the purple flowers that flow over outside the edge of the page. Of course, I love the colors, too. This is a fabulous entry for Halle's theme at AJJ, too. Thanks for sharing, Tracey.

Love this Tracey - I have tried to grow Malva in my garden - it just doesn't seem to like our Welsh climate. What did you use for the bright white dots in the purple flowers?

Love how you highlighted your beautiful bold coloured flowers Tracey. Such a pretty soft toned background too. What a beautiful garden.
