Creative Artiste ~ #115 Anything Mixed Media Goes

 Hello Creatives

A new month means the start of a new challenge @

Creative Artiste Anything Mixed Media Goes

I began with a stencilled paste background sprayed with
distress oxides, overlaid using a Tim Holtz floral stencil
painting those raised leafy blooms with acrylic paints.

On a paper punched offcut I crafted a dimensional branch
twisting glue soaked tissue placed on the background with a tweaked
feathered friends die cut I'd painted to represent a House Sparrow.

Edged with messy machine stitch, washi tape strips and
painted floristry die cuts the House Sparrow ponders
upon the branch amongst the Hawthorn Blossom..

There's much more inspiration from the Design Team
over HERE we hope you can come share and join our

Stay safe & Creative

Wow Tracey, what a gorgeous spring page. I love the flowers and that adorable sparrow. You created some lovely textures and dimensions too. I hope May has started out nicely for you, and I hope the aging parent situation has settled itself out. hugs-Erika

Tracy you have created such a beautiful journal page for the challenge at AJJ in keeping with my theme. The background is in some of my favourite colour combinations and the letting and numbers are so faint yet they are there.
I love the fact that it is so dimensional, the flowers frame the top and sides so beautifully and I love the punchinello behind the bird. Why do I never think of doing things like you describe your making of the branch?
Just love it all!

Such a beautiful page! I love the texture and colours of your background and wow, that sparrow is amazing and so life like ❤️. The sparrows round our way are certainly making a lot of noise, chit-chatting away, as they build their nests. Take care my friend and wishing you a happy new month, can you believe it's May already! Hugs, Jo x

I am in awe of your background you created. I also love the way you created that branch. I love how dimensional it is. Of course, I adore the sewing. And your painted sparrow is stunning. This is a brilliant journal page and perfect for Neet's theme at AJJ.

Oh this is beautiful and so realistic. At this moment I am listening to the sparrows chit chattering as they come in and out of a hole in my neighbours wall. They are birds full of character. Emmax

Such a lovely relaxing piece here Tracey. Lovely background and beautiful flowers. No wonder that pretty bird is singing after landing on that thick branch.
