Plants, Paint, Purple..

 Hello everyone,

Completion on my Mother in Laws house sale draws closer but
I'm still juggling time between houses, there's honestly not
much creative time. I strive but more than most struggle
to create anything other than in my traveling junk diary.

Nature is always inspiring and at present I have the best of
both gardens, documenting in snap shots how everything thrives.

My Sempervivum's continue to have babies (hen's and chicks)
can you spot the common blue who has come to visit?

Documented in watercolour and gouache in my Junk Diary..

My MIL's Purple Rhododendren has flowered like never before..

This bush is over forty years old and stands 7 feet tall
does that it makes it a tree? It's really showing off this
year with a magnificent display. I hope the new home owners
take good care of her.. If I could uproot her I really would..

A continuous pen face drawing of MIL an early month
reminder to get that hair appointment booked

finishing with a photo of Freya supporting her recent Grandma cut 😁

Wishing you all a safe & creative weekend

Hugs Tracey xx

Beautiful photos and art. Hard to let such a beautiful plant go. Freya looks good. I recenty got fed up with my long hair, too a big scissors and hacked it off, it looks quite good now! Hugs, Valerie

I know what you mean about busy Tracey. My garden and unpacking my studio are taking up much of my time. Your flowers are gorgeous though. And you must be happy to coming towards the end and her move. I am loving your junk journal too. I keep my daily writing/drawing journal, and that's about it until things settle down a bit. Mom needs a haircut is a great sketch. I hope your weekend is wonderful. Hugs-Erika

Thanks for stopping by my blog during this busy period. I hope all goes well with the sale of your mother-in-law's house. There is always a sense of loss that goes with this. One of my wife's sisters and her husband recently became residents of a retirement centre and they are sad to think that they will never live in their own home again.

Tracey your flowers are gorgeous, especially the art page. Now how darn cute are these faces. Your dog is just warms my heart. Thank you for joining in FFO. Mr. Linksy is now up. I am such a bonehead for forgetting it. Have a great day.

Your succulents are beautiful and I also love the containers you planted them in. Cute little butterfly. The rhody is fantastic, I can understand that it is hard to let go of it. What a cute dog! Your face drawing is beautiful as well.

I would call your journal anything BUT junk. Your paintings are lovely and really capture the beauty of the blooms. And I love the "haircut" -- I'm in sore need myself. Your dog is absolutely charming.

Thanks so much for coming over to Marmelade Gypsy. It is such a delight to meet you!

Freya stole the show today and that is saying a lot as all of your pictures and paintings were wonderful. Assuming that you are moving ... or someone, maybe your MIL is moving, I am so sorry you have to leave that magnificent Rhododendron behind. Wishing you well ...

lol, I did see the little blue even before I read it. But I am used to look for everything with wings. Well, almost :)

Love the flowering bush. Can you take sticklings from it??
and your face is gorgeous. :)

Oh Freya, she is so beautiful! Big nose lol! She looks very proud in that photo! Jack poses like that once in a while too. ♥♥ I believe I'd call the Rhododendren a tree! Wow is that every big, and the flowers are so abundant! I love your watercolour and gouache pieces!

Love your journal pages, Tracey. Beautiful colouring - you've certainly picked up the tones from your MIL's rhododendron. Thanks for joining us at Sparkles. Deborah DT

Fabulous post! I love those succulents, they looks so beautiful and your pages are gorgeous 😊. Of course Freya is my favourite, she looks so it's with her new Grandm haircut ... ha, ha! I hope you are feeling better and I'm glad to hear the house is progressing well. Apologies I'm so late visiting, what with having a terrible cold and then afterwards having friends over (with decorating to finish and then cleaning before they arrived) I just didn't find any time for blogging. Take care and I hope you're enjoying the sunshine. Sending you happy wishes for a wonderful week! Hugs Jo x
