Leaves and branches, April Junk and Heart of Glass ...

Hello everyone

I hope you are all keeping well??
Another month where life stuff again absorbed me..
so here's a photo heavy end of April post from me

Watercolour studies of Photinia *Little Red Robin*

Some pages from my April Junk Journal..
Mini eggs they were in short supply 😒

Face doodle created from a paint spillage on package waste.

Caramel Kraft paper with stitched rice paper Butterfly

Painted night forest scene from a tutorial by Danielle Mack and
a stamped scene titled *Morning has Broken* what a beautiful Hymn.

and finally...

Another found face journal doodle and the attempt to turn this one into
Debbie Harry, lead singer of the group Blondie using pencil and paint.
As a 9 year old I remember singing Blondie songs into my hairbrush 😂

*Heart of Glass* was always a favourite track.

Wishing you all a great weekend

Creative Hugs
Tracey xx

I love your monthly journals Tracey. You always have such a wonderful selection of pages. I am really impressed with Debbie Harry too. You did an amazing job with her face. That's a good song also, even now. She is perfect for Alison's challenge, and I'm glad you got a chance to join in before the month ends. I hope you have a wonderful last few days of April. Awesome art, Tracey.
My favorite is 'Morning has broken'. By the way, I posted it's video on my blog with the AJJ-page for this same challenge.
I wish you joyful, happy weekend and a great start to May xx

Hi Tracey, thank you so much for coming over to Marmelade Gypsy from Rain. It has brought me to you! Your mixed media is just lovely and reminds me how much I enjoyed doing it before I started my watercolor practice! Your journals are beautiful and I also love your leaves! I also enjoyed your spring bunnies a couple of posts back! Have a wonderful week!

There is such beautiful art here to see - you are very talented. I enjoyed seeing all of these, but I'm partial to the bird on the Morning has broken page. The night forest is gorgeous as well.

Photinia, Little Red Robin, I have never heard of it until this moment and it looks beautiful. I will have to look it up and learn more about it. Your art is so sensitive and captures even the hint of happiness in life. I love your spillage waste pictures. The butterfly is magnificent ... you are sooooo creative and along with everyone else I love your paintings especially "Morning was Broken". I can picture you singing into your hairbrush ... made me smile. Wasn't it wonderful when we were young how our imaginations could transport us to another place, usually fun and happy place. Your "doodle" of Debbie Harry is awesome. I don't remember her well. I think I was of an age when music was not a priority and I missed being a Blondie fan. I will explore that as well. It has been a wonderful visit, Tracy ... Stay well, stay safe and stay creative :)

Tracey, your art is always so inspiring and beautiful. I love Photinia and the way the leaves turn red and you have captured it so beautifully in your sketches. The butterfly is a real stunner too and the faces are gorgeous. You captured Debbie Harry so well and that took me back a few years!

Such a wonderful post my lovely friend. Hugs, Anne xxx

Actually you have reference to two beautiful songs. I love Morning has Broken and I love Heart of Glass.

Your art is absolutely gorgeous. I love the leaves from Rain's theme, the beautiful art you have given us this month, and of course, I love the beauty of Debbie Harry. What a great way to end the month. Thanks, too, for sharing this wonderful entry at Art Journal Journey using Alison’s theme.
