Paint my world

Hello everyone

I'm so sorry I've been absent in blogland family ties
have kept me extremely busy from the onset of 2022.

House hunting, viewings and preparing to downsize
my MIL, it's just a small part of my world this year.

Away from my creative space I've been doodling down my
days on anything destined for the recycle bin, painting
with a very limited watercolour & gouache palette.

Let me share a little of my January with you..

First a self portrait painted on brown packaging, it depicts how
I really need (want) to show my creative space and materials more
love in 2022 and use up what I already have around me...

Out with the uncomfortable, old, unfixable chair and in with the new..

The cleaning out of closets discovering boxes unopened from 1999
full of old books and encyclopedia's from my late Father in Law..

Catching my breath from dusty closets days to take in those mild sunny ones..

putting my feet up so late in the evening falling asleep in that new
comfy chair dreaming of what to do with thirteen A4 encyclopedias..

It's just a small part of my painted world this January..

I've very much missed you all and looking
forward to seeing how you are and what
you've all been creating..

Catch up with you all asap..

Creative Hugs
Tracey xx

What a beautiful journal you have created from that packaging. I love how some of the pages are torn on the edges and aren't quite all there, It calls attention to your art, Of course, I love the paintings you have drawn, too. Simply lovely paintings and great words to go with the art. Thanks also for sharing this with us at Art Journal Journey using Erika's theme, too. You inspire me. I wish I could draw like you, dear.

What a fantastic journal Tracey. It's tough when parents get older, isn't it? Luckily we have my mom well settled in an assisted living she loves and that takes great care of her, but we are dealing with my MIL. It is tough work and takes up a lot of time. My studio is also starting to go through a face lift. I had to smile at the cleaning out page your shared. You've captured it all so well! This is wonderful and worth the wait to see. Thanks so much for adding your face to this month's wonderful collection of them at AJJ. It is much appreciated. Plus I really enjoyed this journal. I hope you get to put your feet up some this weekend. Hugs-Erika

A great post, showing us your lovely journal pages. I’m trying to get rid of some unused art stuff and have found a mental heath charity to give it to.
Hugs Wendy.

Wow, each is a treasure. Thanks for sharing these snippets into what you are going through. I know it is difficult but it will be over and you will have accomplished a lot! I keep thinking I need to start downsizing so my kids don't have so much to do! My Mom did that and it was a blessing to us. Hugz
