Hello Creative Friends,
It's the first Friday of a new month so time for me
to welcome you to Creative Artiste's Challenge #70
our theme is always *Anything Mixed Media Goes*
This month i'm sharing a hand sculpted clay pot
I call her *My Year in Dungaree's* π
Behind the scene's i've been working with lots of clay this year.
Thought i'd share this piece inspired by Toni Burt. One piece of
air dry clay sculpted into shape it was important to make it's
shape as organic as I could to resemble my worn out dungaree's.
Adding stumpy feet to the base, mark making seams and creases
she was left to dry for days before sealing and painting.
The blues in this treasured napkin gifted to me by my friend Dorthe
really complimented it's design. Sealed again with matt gel medium
she was ready for some extra embellishing.
Lined with gilding flakes she wears TH hardware
and a fashioned Jeans button crafted from clay..
I'm not sure if this little video will work but
if it does it will give you a 360 view and show
areas hard to photograph like her saggy bottom π
Filled with treats she's a good craft table companion.
If you like to mix up you media why not share your creations
with the Creative Design Team HERE and join in with our
Look forward to seeing your Mixed Media Makes..
Stay safe & Creative
Hugs Tracey xx

Fa-bu-lous, Tracey! Love the idea, love the execution with the little details that make it stand out.
Happy Easter!
Oh my gosh, she is so fun! Love EVERYTHING you did to her! What a treasure and so cute with chocolates! I so which I could do this! Hugz and Happy Easter!
How fabulous Tracey! I love how you've recreated your saggy bottomed worn out dungarees. The stitching details, creases and button are amazingly realistic.
Enjoy your well earned chocolates xx
Lovely little pot. Perfectly decorated. Love the colours or the pot and eggs. Have a creative week. Stay safe. Judy
This is a great little pot Tracey. Those chocolate eggs look good in it too. Have a wonderful Easter. Hugs-Erika
This is terrific. I had no idea you could make a bowl like this without firing. The napkin pattern added looks great and I could see the gilding clearly inside when I watched the video. What fun to make it look like your dungarees.
Thanks very much for your recent heart-warming comment on Orange E.
Love from Sheila
A happy table companion indeed! I love the shape you made, and the delicate flowers. The added details finish perfectly the project.
Oh Tracey this is fabulous, from her saggy bottom to her little stumpy feet lol. She's a piece of clay that now has her very own character, and the napkin from Dorthe fits in perfectly! To be fair, being filled with chocolate is never a bad thing either! Take care and a very happy Easter to you and yours xx
Your little clay jeans pot is out of this world. Just perfect for foil wrapped eggs. You sculpted this SO well and the colors were perfect, too. I'm totally in awe. Clever beyond words, Tracey.
Yes I can totally empathise with a year in dungaree's....Lol x. What a fabulous, unique and fun project. The little video did work and there was no evidence of the 'saggy bottom'. Thank you for the step by steps and what a beautiful treasured napkin x. Great table companion and thank you for the fun post Tracey x.
Wow, what a stunning make! I love all the detail that you created in the clay and the way it all came together, the pretty napkin is a beautiful addition too π. I'm in awe of your talents, this little clay pot is amazing! Take care and wishing you a Happy April! Hugs, Jo x
OMG Tracey I am gobsmacked looking at this most amazing little clay pot you have here. So glad you showed us that wee video. Haven't heard the word dungarees for such a long time. Got to be a British word. Such amazing detail everywhere in and out. I am hungry just licking my lips over those eggs. So very glad you are part of our Team so I get to see your talents. Hugs. Stay Safe.
Oh my goodness, what a delightful project Tracey. You have achieved such a realistic denim look to the 'dungarees', the little dumpy feet are adorable. Love this project. Apologies for my lateness. Keep safe and well my friend. Hugs, Anne xxx
Love your little pottery pot Tracey!
happy weekend,
Alison xx
Oh Tracey, if anyone could ever make clay be denim, you've done it! LOVE this, and the napkin was brilliant. The shape is so cute and so are its lil feet. Brava! Thank you so much for sharing with us at Love to Craft Challenge. We hope you continue to play with us! XOXO, Aimeslee LTCCB DT http://paper-paisleys.blogspot.com/
