Hello everyone,

How you all doing??

Sorry I wasn't around last week I've been on blog holiday...

Laptop was needed for other things so I've been getting ahead of
jobs i'd planned for this summer. Oiled the decking and painted
six dark doors on my landing now soft chalky white, it's already
looking so much brighter ... the walls are next on my list.

Hope i've enough paint to finish the job, i'm mixing up left
overs so i'm thankful that the colours are quite similar!

There's not been much creativity in this spot but here's a
couple of cards requested by my MIL, i'll leave them on
her doorstep tomorrow along with her weekly groceries.

Leaving you with a snap shot of Freya now 6 months old
loving all that extra attention this stay at home gives.

Take care of yourselves & each other
i'll catch up with you all asap.

Creative (((Hugs)))
Tracey xx

Morning Tracey. Those cards are fun!! Great - well done. I rather like the idea of you standing there mixing up a whole load of paint tins - rather like a cake without a recipe - enjoy whatever comes!
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

Happy WOYWW. A lot of people have been doing DIY projects. We did start to sort out our back garden, but having issues getting a rotavator that actually works! Lovely cards. I am fixated with illustration-style flowers etc at the moment. Freya is getting big. Ali x #1

Ooh gorgeous cards Tracey, I love that stamp. Well done you for doing all that decorating - it's something I'm going to start soon! The garden has been calling me lately in all this lovely weather. I like the idea of mixing all the paint up to see what you get!
Have a good week, stay safe and well, and happy painting!

Oh Freya, not a little blob of a pup, so suddenly! Isn’t she gorgeous. I would imagine that having her in this time gives a good framework to your day and anything that makes you have to go for a walk is not a bad thing, huh! That’s the thing I have to remind myself to do...get out and walk. I’ve got a small garden so am working on it, but it’s not the same as real movement is it. Those cards for your MIL are lovely, I’m not sure I’d want to use them if I were her! Don’t feel a pressure to catch up, dip in and out if you can and see if you can enjoy the slower pace. Keep well, Missus!

Love your cards they are so delicate and artsy! I have had a few ordrs as wll, so that's probably what I have been doing with my time - I had already forgotten! Love that you are able to finish up some jobs in the house, kinda wish e had bought some stuff but be honest with the weather being so good I wouldn't have got himself out of the garden. I don't decorate, too old and useless to to a good a job - but I know a man who can!! Stay Safe, Stay well, Happy WOYWW Cindy #18

Stunning cards and love the vintage feel and colours you have chosen. Sounds like you have been busy painting and changing things at your house. I think we are all finding time to do those jobs. Stay safe and keep crafting.

Your door colours reminds me a bit of dinners I used to make for the family, open the cupboard and see what I could throw in. Fancy doing my dark varnished doors when you have finished, can supply plenty of paint mostly white though. Have a good week. Ani #7

Freya is simply adorable! I love the cards - where is the image from? We have also been trying to do jobs around the house, but managing home school and home working is proving the greater challenge. Happy WOYWW. Stay safe and well. With love & God Bless, Caro x (#25)

Super cards and those doggy eyes just make my heart melt! I bet those light colours made a world of a difference on your landing. The family who lived in our house before us had a penchant for dark brown and they painted the bannister that colour - I scraped some of the paint back and noticed that it used to be white - I wish they hadn't painted it! Oh, well. Maybe one day we'll take a leap and restore it back to white. Enjoy your week - as much as the lockdown allows! xx zsuzsa #20

Freya, how pretty she looks, how lovely to have her to cuddle during this horrid lockdown period.
Two lovely cards there Tracey, you mil will love getting them on her doorstep tomorrow along with her grocery shopping. Are the bottles separate from the flowers, I only ask because the first card looks to have an empty bottle or is that a bit of clever stamping by you?
Well, you have been a busy bee. All our doors are natural darkish wood but it works and it works for us because they do not need painting. We just 'season' them now and then and they are the same throughout but being a bungalow we don't have up and downstairs.
Stay safe and well and happy

Hi Tracey, you've certainly had a busy week. We have oak doors and had them all stained and varnished recently, but a light oak so as not to make the landing look dark. Gorgeous cards for your mother in law, I'm sure she'll love them. Have a lovely week and stay safe and well, Heather xx #28

PS About crocheting, when you said "to learn properly" what exactly does "properly" mean? I taught 4 ladies to crochet a couple of years ago, 1 thought she'd never learn and in the end was producing loads of lovely things, have a look at my crochet blog for some ideas and there is a great link to Attic24 where she does photo tutorials. http://ccrochetclub.blogspot.com/

Oiling the deck and painting doors is creative too isn't it? WEll... sort of... but it IS excercise and that's something I cannot say for myself, I don't move much these days other than going from bed to atelier to couch and back to bed (and sometimes the kitchen *teehee*) Anyway, I'm glad you're doing fine. Thanks for your visit the other day, have a nice weekend and stay safe! Hug-from-a-distance, Marit #27

Lovely cards and your dog has such an adorable face. I am a bit late getting round the desks this week - been busy with my sewing for NHS - bags, hats and masks for community settings. All good fun, uses up some of my stash and keeps me out of mischief! Stay safe. xx Jo #9

Hi Tracey.
Apologies for the belated visit, it takes me forever to check out everyone's desks! The cards for your MiL look fab - she will be so pleased with them!
Our little dog is also enjoying having her humans around all the time, especially as she now gets a good run at the park every lunchtime during the week, instead of me just popping home from work to take her for a quick walk round the block. She has already added it to her internal doggy schedule - sleeps all morning and then comes to round me and my daughter up bang on 12:30 every day. I don't know how she does it but she is so punctual!
Have a good week.

Hi Tracey, I thought I'd already left a comment for you but it seems I didn't! Sorry to be late. Your cards are beautiful and I am sure your MIL loved them. Little Freya is so adorable, and I am quite sure she's enjoying all the extra company and attention! Our kitties love having my hubby around all the time, too. I'm always here so I'm just part of the furniture! Thank you for visiting, and it's great that you love my umbrella so much - you and I share a love of all things Boho lol! Teignmouth is one of my fav places to shop - much easier and more accessible for me than Totnes which is on a 45 degree slope with extremely narrow pavements and steps up into every narrow little shop doorway! Teignmouth is brilliant, and it has the sea to enjoy as well. Like my other floral design book, the Florabunda one would lend itself well to all sorts of applications. I haven't done any decoupage but I can see how that would work. I like the odd bit of fussy cutting but not too much as it's rather tiring! Yes, my blocking mats are made of firm foam that you pin into. When you've finished knitting a piece, you pin it out to the correct measurement, and damp it with a water spray and leave it to dry. This evens up the stitches and stops the stocking stitch from curling at the edges, and gives a really nice finish. Not every knitter bothers to block, but it's well worth it in my opinion. I can see the individual mats being really useful for pinning other things too. The sun went on shining for a few days but it's got a bit colder now, and more windy so we haven't had lunch in the garden for a couple of days. The kitties still enjoy playing outside though, as long as it isn't raining.

Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi x #15

I can easily imagine how much Freya is loving having so much company - and she must be lovely to have around too. Your cards are gorgeous - I'm sure they'll go down a treat with whoever your MIL intends them for. The glass bottles are perfect. Sounds like you're doing grand work on the larger paint jobs too!
