What's on YOUR workdesk Wednesday #519

Hello Creative Friends

Desk sharing time again over at the Stamping ground
thanks to Julia it's a regular Wednesday meet up..

This desk view is not the one I'd planned to show today
but I realised yesterday's tidy desk photo displayed upcoming
DT work so I've had to amend it this morning... silly me!!

This view makes me feel very giddy...

so here's a desk close up.

I found those little paints at the back of a cupboard.
Not sure what ever happened to Luminarte H2O's..?

The foam tray they were stored in had fallen apart but a
spritz of water soon activated these highly pigmented
pots of shimmer as if they were used only yesterday.

I last used these in 2013 for some Wedding Invites.
Happy to have been reunited with these little pots.

A busy couple of weeks for me, lots of running around and
medical apps so i'll be in and out of blogland when ever I can.

I'll catch up with you all asap
Take good care everyone

Creative Hugs
Tracey xx

Sorry to hear that the migraines aren't any better Tracey. Funnily enough I have two boxes of H2Os sitting in my cupboard. Thanks for reminding me about them. They are lush aren't they? I know what you mean about DT stuff, that's why a lot of my desk shots are posed. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3

Oh Tracey, that’s not fair, the migraines must be triggered by something...I hope it’s not stress or gluten...such life changers. I really feel for you. Twinkling h2Os x I still have mine and use them irregularly...mostly when a scrapbook challenge calls for a spritz type background, because I have no spray paints left and they work up beautifully for spattering. Spritzing, spattering...it’s all the same!! They are beautiful aren’t they. I recently bought some Spectrum Noir sparkle paints which are the same but already wet. Nightmare to get the lids on and off without leakage, but absolutely rich with mica. Even got a blog post in the editing about them! Your H2Os must be more recent than mine because mine have solid, plain black lids and I had to write the colour name on them!
I do hope you have a pain free week......I fear you need to make an appointment...

The little pots have black lids on them Julia, the larger one's have a clear lid I believe.. well my ones do anyway :))

Neet said...

Interesting to read your comments about the lids - I think you are right. I used to buy sets of H2o's when I was working for a certain someone and they wee the small ones with the solid lids. Then a chance meeting at CHA with Luminarte and they sent me a full set (as it was then - 120) pots but the bigger ones and they all had clear lids. I have them all somewhere and used to use them a lot but haven't in ages. We have phases don't we? I think I ditched the lids eventually as they are meant to dry up and be reactivated.
Lovely butterfly you are painting and I can't help but wonder what that swan is all about.
Hugs and best wishes for a good week - let's hope that nasty migraine goes. Luckily I don't suffer them but I know people who do.
Hugs, Neet 6 xx
ps I was with "Inky Fingers" on Saturday, I believe you know her xx

Oh my Neet 120 how lovely!! I have around 23 last count a mix of little & large :D
The swan is a plant pot that lasted longer than the plant now holding cheap mixed media brushes, too nice to hide away x

I love the jewel colours of those shimmer pots - how fab that you were able to rescue them for reuse! Sorry to hear about the migraines..it's got to be something to do with hormones...I too am a woman of a certain age and overnight have started sufffering awfully with hot flushes. Not fun. So I'm sending you a big sisterly hug!

I am sorry to read you are still suffering from migraines. That is something I dread.

I loved the overall desk view and was very impressed with your palette knife. I recently moved my H2Os and my mica powders I use to make my handmade shimmering mists to a much easier spot to retrieve them. I adore what you have made with the butterfly. I only have about 10 of them, so I was blown away when I read that Neet had 120 given to her. Thanks for visiting already, dear. Happy WOYWW from #2.

Hi Tracey, I have a whole bunch of the H2O's, and like you, rarely use them. I think they actually stopped production of them, I seem to recall reading somewhere. Like Julia, mine have the solid black lids.Love the piece you've painted with them. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #15 X

I don't have but a few pots of H20's and I'm not sure where they are today. Probably need to see if I can round them up. You have inspired me!

I found that Chocolate, Cheese and Dairy Cream helped to trigger my migraines. Apparently they are high in certain animal fats. I regulate how much chocolate and cream I have now and switched to Brie Cheese which, funnily enough, is low is this particular fat! Might be worthwhile researching as I haven't had a migraine for years now and they used to drive me potty, never a week without one of some degree or another. Best of luck and hope you find the answer.
Love that butterfly and isn't it good to find stash to use.
Have a good week

HI Tracey, hopefully your head starts feeling better soon. ( try drinking some extra water? sometimes being dehydrated makes it worse for me) ooh I have a collection of H20's too :) I love what you did show with the text peeking through the scene. ~Stacy #29

Hi Tracey, sorry to hear you are still suffering with your migraine! I hope you manage to work out what triggers them! Gorgeous butterfly pic! From reading the comments it seems everyone has a collection of H20s apart from me. The downside of being a newbie crafter lol. Your first desk shot almost gave me vertigo- were you stood on the desk?? Have a lovely week Heather x #7

Funnily enough, I recently found dozens of H2O's that I had completely forgotten about and I have a new found love for them. Isn't it lovely when you find oldies but goodies! The butterfly you coloured is stunning.

So sorry to hear that you are still suffering with the migraines, definitely something you could do without! I hope they go soon so that you can get on with your busy life a little easier. Take care. Hugs, Anne xx

You have just inspired me to dig out my Twinkling H2Os. Like you, mine have been languishing at the back of a cupboard, but they are too beautiful to stay there. Hope your DT stuff gets finished and safely delivered. xxx Maggie (Silvercrafter) #22

Migraines are no fun, not a great way to spend a day. :-(
I wish more people felt the way that you do about used art books, I have not had one little bite on my huge pile of books for sale. Maybe there just aren't that many people here that do art like I do.
Your desk looks nice and creative! I love those Lumieres, I think I may have some hidden away somewhere as well! Hope your week is migraine free, thanks for your visit, Lindart #26
