Paperbabe Stamps Challenge ~ #94 Anything Goes

Hello Creative Friends

It's time for another Blog Challenge over at Paperbabe Stamps ,
with it's *Anything Goes* Theme it is a challenge for everyone.

You do not have to use Paperbabe stamps to join in but if you
do it will double the prize for one lucky random winner..!!

Here's my Paperbabe creation I share with you today

My latest embellishment obsession..

Stamping the large Peony onto Calico I painted using fabric paint.

When painted the Peony was cut out and paired with colour match
swatches of hessian and lace in which both act as my backing.

Running stitch secures the peony onto the fabrics remembering
to stuff with a little wadding before stitching all the way around.

Adding beads to represent stamen, the peony is cut
free leaving a border of the backing fabric exposed.

Teamed up with a handmade needle book this functional
embellishment makes the sweetest of pin cushions.

Time is very limited for me at the moment and i'd not
planned to share this creation just yet but making these
Peony embellishments has become my latest obsession
a handy size for on the go crafting whilst I catch my breath...

Why not pop on over HERE and share your latest obsession.

Sending Sunshine & Hugs your way

Creative wishes
Tracey xx

I have to tell you, I was blown away by this project, Tracey. Not only is it gorgeous, it is functional, too. As I was following along, I was caught off guard, as I sometimes do when you make a gorgeous piece of "art." When I realized what the project entailed, I was (as I said before) blown away! You ROCK, dear Tracey and so does that peony. Take a breath and realize what a gorgeous creation you have given us, dear.

Hi Tracey, I'm loving this. It's so long since I stamped on fabric and I love the possibilities. I can relate to being busy but yesterday I left everyone to it and went to the Craft Club. Great day with lots of lovely ladies and a man actually! Today though is catch-up. Hope your weekend is restful and full of crafty goodness. Sending big hugs, Angela xxx

That's such a pretty stamp, so beautifully stamped on the fabric. And it looks amazing as the focal point on the cover of your gorgeous little pincushion. Sorry I’ve been so absent – there’s a quieter period on the horizon (at least until the next last-minute gig bobs up to spoil it).

Tracey, this is such a gorgeous creation! The peony alone is stunning and you have brought it to life with your painting, stitching and embellishment - the result is just incredible!

Apologies for being missing, a slight detour to hospital for a few days (I am on the mend) has curtailed me, not sure I will ever get caught up :( Hugs, Anne xx
