What's on your workdesk Wednesday #514

Hello Creative Friends

It's Wednesday that day of the week where creatives worldwide
share their desks thanks to our host Julia over at the

A scheduled post from me as there's been little time for crafting
but here's two embroideries I made for Mom's on Mothering Sunday
created from left overs, Linladan linen threads and help from
Katrina Witten's Hand-stitched Landscapes & Flowers book.

Thank you to everyone who has left kind comments and best wishes
regarding our dog Boni(ta) many know she had been very poorly.

Recent tests confirmed there to be a tumour in her tummy
and we sadly lost her on March 30th 😢

Here's a picture of her looking very regal at 4 months old,
she never lost those puppy dog looks even at the age of 12.

The best companion, forever faithful with the waggiest of tails.
She followed our children everywhere loving nothing more than
sneaking into their warm beds on school days if given chance.

Miss you little lady... until we meet again R.I.P xx

I'm a little fragile at the moment so please be patient with me.

I'll catch up with you all very soon to check out WoywW

Hugs Tracey xx

Oh dear Tracey, my heart goes out to you on the loss of your loved one. I know just how fragile it can make you - it was four years after I lost my Oliver that I found I could talk about him. I wasn't involved in social media then so I hope that through your blog and other ways you can say how you really feel and it helps.
On a brighter note, those pictures for your mums are beautiful. How very talented you are.
Hope DH is feeling much better these days.
Gentle Hugs, Neet 3 xx

I'm so so sorry to hear about Boni, Tracy. I always tear up even when other people lose their pets (I bawled my eyes out watching Marley and me) so I don't know what I will do if/when we lose Oreo. Our pets become a part of the family, don't they, especially when they grow up with the kids. We know they're on this earth shorter than we are, but it's still hard accept when they're gone. She looks so cute in that photo with those puppy eyes and I'm sure she had a wonderful, happy life with you and your family - the best a dog can have. xx

Hi Tracey, sorry to hear about your loss. I fully understand how you must feel as they are so much a part of the family. I had a friend years ago that kept Border terriers and though they had several she was always heart broken when they lost one but she used to tell her children was, "We must enjoy every moment we have with them and when they're gone naturally go through the sadness of loss but look forward to that next puppy that is just waiting for us to take it into our lives". However it doesn't make it any easier. Sending you big hugs, Angela x16x

Dear friend I have been thinking of you , -thank you for the pm. I have been in Copenhagen for another scan of the thyroid , and only returned home this afternoon. You will hear from me soon.
Your embroideries are gorgeous Tracey, so beautiful little wonders, they must be totally loved by the mothers .

Tracey, I am so, so sorry to hear about little Boni. I know what it's like to lose a beloved pet. I really feel for you. Before we got our two little silver tabby girlies, we lost our 2 old cats only 3 weeks apart. It's very, very sad. Sending you such a big hug! Your embroideries are absolutely exquisite and way beyond my standard! Your mum must have loved those. What a lovely gift.

Thank you for your visit and I'm so glad you were able to see my photos. I think Wordpress is going to be fine for me, but I am going through major problems at the moment with logging on - managed only through the help of our lovely neighbour who allowed me to access her Internet connection this evening! Bluehost's help team are on it and I hope for some news over the next couple of days. Thank you for your good wishes for my scan. You are right, the 6 weeks will fly by. I don't know where the time goes these days.

Thinking of you.

Be gentle with yourself, Tracey. Because our pets love us for so long and ever so unconditionally, we unwittingly give them an enormous portion of our heart, it's impossible not to do so. When they take leave of out lives, the hole in our heart is vast and deep. So we grieve them, with a painful sense of loss. I lost my buddy, my Jack, the spirit who knew mine better than anyone ever has or will seventeen years ago. This many years later, I'll be sitting at my desk and feel him next to me, napping on his special rug where he spent many hours keeping me company. Sometimes, I glance quickly, I'm so certain he's there; I never see him. It was only when I acknowledged out loud to my husband that Jack truly is always here,it's the nature of things, he has so much of my heart and I have so much of his love still within me and that's the way it's supposed to be. When I finally believed that and spoke it aloud, I felt a rush of joy in the countless memories of our life together and all of that love lives on.
