What's on YOUR Workdesk Wednesday #511

Hello Creative Friends,

It's time to share What's on our Workdesks as it's Wednesday.
Thanks to Julia over host over at the stamping ground
giving us the platform for crafty friends to share what's
been tickling our creative fancy...

Welcome to WOYWW #511

Last week I visited The Creative Craft Show at the NEC with no intention
of buying anything (honest) but whilst browsing around the exhibition I
stumbled across a fascinating stall Linladan Scandinavian Threads.

I do not believe there was one single colour unavailable.
Like a Vintage rainbow.. here's my box full of linen loveliness...

I can't share what I am up to as i'm working on some gifts but
If you love textile history you may be intrigued to learn about the
textile house Nordiska established in 1879, and it's lost archive.

The exhibition from Linladan touched my heart as much as those linens.

It's been another sad & wicked week in the world.
Take care everyone & look out for one another.

I'll be round to visit asap.

Creative Hugs
Tracey xx

You can't go to these craft shows and not buy anything! That would be cruel! Loving the threads and I think you were very well-behaved if that's all you bought! Hope you had a good time browsing - I might go to the NEC one of these days - I keep saying it but never get around to it! Have a lovely week! zsuzsa #22

Dearest Tracey,
oh you are so right, such a sad and wicked world , so much hatred -only today I heard that someone in Italy stole a buss full of kids , and put fire to it, for them to burn - how is it even possible to get such a thought, and then to try doing it- luckily the cops managed to save them all .
But you my dear, brings beauty into this world, such very lovely threads, and the colors are really wonderful in their vintage tones. I`m so excited to see what you are doing with them .
Dear Tracey , a lovely evening to you , and warm hugs from Dorthe xoxo

The Creative Craft Show at the NEC must have been wonderful. I can only imagine the trouble I could get into if I got to attend one of those shows. You got some impressive threads and beautiful colors. I look forward to seeing what you made. Sorry I'm late visiting. I'm in catch-up mode and appreciate you stopping by to visit while I was offline.

Yes, a sad and wicked week.
You certainly had a nice shop with those linen yarns. I love the jewel like colours you chose. Must have been tempting not to buy even more than you did. I have lots of rovings but I rarely use them, just cannot resist when I go to a textile show - it's the colours, so I can see how you got tempted.
Hope hubby and doggy are both doing a bit better (if not a lot better really)
Hugs, Neet 5 xx
