What's on YOUR Workdesk Wednesday 501

Happy Wednesday everyone.

It's time to share what's on our workdesk's for it's WOYWW 501
so let's take a stroll around those who care to share over at the
stamping ground courtesy of Julia our hostess.

I was hoping to be a lot tidier this week but there has been more stops
than starts whilst I try to find a home for found odds and ends.

Not helped by my madness of deciding to sort out the cupboard that's behind me!!

You didn't think that little crafty corner was it did you :))

This is the first time in two years that I have actually been able to open the door
without something falling on me... Sadly there's more to go in yet!! Grrr...

Sorry if I missed visiting anyone last week, with a poorly dog, Hubbies Cardio
appointments along with the Christmas clean up there was little time left for
me or those Dorset buttons.. I'm having withdrawal symptoms already!

I will do better this week to both visit and button I promise.

Catch you all later..

I understand the cupboard problem but I am determined that this year it's got to change. I have tuns of stuff in my loft too which should be a great place to do my fabric stuff but you can hardly move in it. I need to sort it and pass stuff on or use it and that's my New Year resolution. I am not allowed in the loft without bringing something down! I do hope the dog's okay.....well and you two of course......but especially the dog Lol! Happy woyww, Angela x10x

Mm can replace to cupboard issues too, Tracey, I hav erodible shutting mine, they don’t fall out cos it’s all drawers! Almost all. I’ve two cupboards though but only one is craft. I’ve been gifted lots of drawers though and they are great except you forget what’s in them... or I do, being going to label them!!! One day.
Pray your pup, hubby and you have a better week.

Hi Tracey, a crafters life seems to be one of fitting a pint into a half pint pot, lol. Don't you find it's the bits & pieces that are the hardest to store so you can actually use them? With me it's very much out of sight, out of mind, lol. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #7 X

Made me smile at your cupboard and the other comments, seems we all have the same problem, too much stuff and not enough room to store it. I have mainly drawers and the bottoms are sagging under the weight.

Happy WOYWW! The best thing about cleaning up/organizing is finding cool stuff you forgot about. I hope that happens to you! Dorlene #30

Hi Tracey, ooh I laughed about the sky is falling when the door is opened. ( my closet is a duck and stoop one since the roof slants and I am more likely to trip over something I have on the floor because, the shelves are only waist high. but, I do think that is very brave to tackle that. ( mine is way way down low on the list) :) ~Stacy #28

I definitely need to reorganize so much of my space. I think yours looks tidy by comparison to some of my areas...

How's the dog - hope much better now with the vet input. Also hope DH's cardio rehab went well and he is feeling much better.
Your craft cupboard reminds me of some of the cupboards in our bedroom before we had it refitted - one guy who came to do an estimate was appalled at what we stored in some of our cupboards. Thank goodness I am not married to HIM!

I fear I have those same exact problems in my craft room closet. It is filled to the brim. At least nothing has ever fallen on my head, except when I was trying to pull it out.

I hope your husband and dog are now better, although I know you husband's cardio is ongoing. Just stopped by to say hi and hope you are doing OK, dear. No need to respond, since I'm not playing this week.

Well done, Tracey, having such a good clear-out! I used to have a cupboard like that in our old house and it was a nightmare... New Year does seem to be a time for getting to grips with organising and I’ve made a (very small) start myself... I hope your hubby is well on the mend now. It’s good that they are keeping such a close eye on him during this very worrying time for you both. I’m sorry to hear the dog is poorly too. Thank you for your visit, and I’m glad you like my knitting, and seeing our kitty cuddles! Thank you for your good wishes for my health this coming year, and I wish you a very happy new year too.

Happy belated WOYWW,

Hi Tracey, hope hubby's cardio is going well. Good luck with the clear out/tidy up - your cupboard certainly looks jam packed full of crafty goodies! Seems to be the time of year to get sorted, let's see if we all achieve it, or just close the doors, keep calm and carry on crafting hehe! Have a wonderful crafty week, hugs Heather xx #24

No, I was sure there was more than what we could see in front of us!! I know it is no consolation but I know lots of crafters that are re-organising at the moment - me included! It is not an easy task shuffling things around because we cannot bear to throw (or give) anything away - lol.

I hope the dog is better now and that hubby's ongoing cardio is still going well. Hugs, Anne xx

Happy New Year Tracey! January seems to be the perfect time for tidying! I am trying the KonMari method of tidying, which also means getting rid of a lot of things that don't bring joy. It will be interesting to see how much stuff I can actually let go of, as it is one of my most difficult things to do in my craft room! There are several Pinterest pins regarding tidying craft rooms the Marie Kondo way, so I will be reading those! Good luck with your tidying, and I am so happy that you can open the door of your closet without being attacked - I had that lovely experience with my clothes closet door-first time since we moved in 19 years ago that I can finally close the door! Have a great week, and thanks for your visit! Lindart #26

HI Tracey, sorry for the late return visit, I'm still catching up :o) Good for you having a clearout, it's always so daunting at that stage where everything's out and it's messier than when you started, but it will be so worth it in the end! Hope you get some playtime as well this week :o) Annie C #19

Good luck with the clearing and sorting. There's going to be a major bout of that for me this year as I pack up to leave the country, so I empathise! Hope all is going well with your husband's appointments.
