#WOYWW 494

Happy Wednesday Everyone..

It's time to share what's on our work desks and check out others who care
to share over @ the Stamping ground Thanks to our host Julia for it's

My work desk really is a game of two halves this week..
The quiet area with pen nib and cartridge changing.

...and the chaotic!

WIP's that need completing asap.
They may be a little bit Christmassy..

Thank you to all for your kind words last week..

Hubby's stent op was cancelled on Monday due to
(apologies if you are having breakfast etc..) D&V on the ward.

So over the past couple of days I've been like a Teenager glued
to my phone awaiting the call for the next available appointment.. Sigh!!

Look forward to seeing what you've all been up too,
I've missed out on so many woyww and non woyww blogs recently.

Take Care everyone & Happy Thanksgiving
to those that will be celebrating tomorrow.

Hugs Tracey xx

Hope you don't have to wait too long to hear about the replacement date... what a worrying time ! your piles of WIPs will be being replicated all round the desks I reckon! Happy WOYWW Helen #1

It's awful when you get all worked up ready for a hospital visit and then find it is not happening. Hope you get seen to, soon - I know what you must be going through, I too am waiting (but not for a stent).
Enjoy working with that pen.
Hugs, Net 4 xx

Best wishes with your husband's visit...but nothing worse when you get sicker there than you were at home. And good luck with getting caught up on past posts, just went thru that. Happiest of days to you.

Oh Lordy, the waiting is just so difficult. It’s not against the rules to ring and double check that he hasn’t slipped through the net if you feel that time is creeping on...they won’t mind, and it might make you feel better! I do like to see a pot of coloured cuts on your desk, you really are making progress. A pot is a sign of a tidy mind Tracey, they don’t appear on my desk! Nor does my nib changing look calm and CLEAN!

Oh bad luck about the cancellation but he wouldn't want D&V on top of everything else. Julia's right though, do ring up if you haven't heard anything soon. Meanwhile enjoy your lovey crafting, you do have some fab stuff on show today!

Will keep my fingers crossed for an early appointment and all to go smoothly. Looks like a very productive desk, both in the quiet area and the chaos!

Enjoy your Christmassy craftiness - it will help keep your mind off the stressful hospital business - it's so frustrating but at least he didn't get the bug. Hope you hear soon.

I'm here again with a copied and pasted comment I can add to to save me time sitting at the computer....hope you don't mind.
So sorry to hear your hubby's appointment was postponed....keep at them cos they are only human and it would be awful if they keep you waiting needlessly.

HI Tracey, oh that is such a shame. Nothing worse than getting yourself in the mindset for surgery, then it gets cancelled. Fingers crossed they get back to you soon. Great desks, I really need to clear my backlog of WIPS! I'll do a post about the show with my thoughts over the weekend. I'm thinking it should be good, there are a lot of exhibitors. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #5 X

I simply HATE this business of cancelling ops, many at the last moment. Sometimes I wish folks would stand up to their responsibilities ..... of soap box now!
Do hope your get a good appointment date soon.

Hi Tracey, this seems to happen so often. I do hope it is rescheduled soon. I have a friend who had gone in recently for an op. on her back, she was all ready to go into theatre when they said they didn't have enough staff for the operation. Hope we get to see the finished WIPs. Happy woyww, Angela x19x

Hi Tracey, sorry about your hubbys op being cancelled. It's so frustrating! I hope he gets a new date soon. I laughed at your tidy desk/messy desk pics! I have been known to avoid taking a pic from a certain angle because there's simply too much mess - and I don't like mess! Thanks for stopping by earlier. I think the 3 quilts is a challenge but hey, what's life without a few challenges! Have a lovely week Heather x #9

I'm sorry your hubby's operation was postponed, Tracey. I know only too well the emotional upheaval that causes - they may be doing these operations every day but for us it's a major upheaval and an emotional rollercoaster, scary, fear of the unknown, etc. etc. Also, on the practical side, you organise your life around the date from which you will be out of action for a while, and when they postpone it, it upsets all your schedule. I hope he gets a date really soon. I'm afraid I don't have a tidy and messy area - mostly it's all messy lol! Thank you for your visit - I'm looking forward to embellishing the frames but have the other project to do first. At least I've got lots of flower pieces cut, and I can get them coloured and made up in good time, hopefully. The marmalade is sweetened with Stevia which is a natural, plant-based sweetener, much sweeter than sugar and very low calorie, and you don't need much. The marmalade is a nice blend of sweet and sharp, which is how it should be! As for the problems with the pants, it's nothing to do with the NHS - it's a commercial company that makes them, and the NHS provides the prescription for them so I don't have to pay. The company needs to get its act together.

I love the little paper (?) leaves in the last photo... and I'm hooked on my nib (fountain?) pen lately (I always have difficulties finding out how you call that kind of pen) I hope an appointment for your hubby's operation will be set soon, it's hard to have to wait isn't it?! Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday and 'walking with me'... hug from Holland! Marit #21

Hope you don't have to wait too long for that phone call, it must be very stressful. Your busy desk looks nice and creative! The other one looks nice and interesting! Thank you for your Thanksgiving wishes, although we are in Canada, so we celebrate in October. I was born in California, however, and I miss having Thanksgiving this time of year! We do, however, follow the States with Black Friday sales - usually I do just the same as what I do for Boxing Day - stay home! Thanks for your visit, have a wonderful week! Lindart #24
