#WOYWW 493

Morning everyone it's time for WOYWW 493 ..
Our mid week show and tell  hosted by Julia over at the stamping ground.

It's so dark this morning so apologies about the glare from the overhead lamp.

There's no new creative activity from me as Hubby goes in for his second stent next
week so i've been getting all those tedious jobs out the way so I can concentrate on him.

After the buzz about die cutting last week Julia prompted a discussion later in the week
*How do you make the cut?* Well as you may remember last week I confessed to not liking
die cutting. I used to think it was because I loathed getting them out as I had no room for
them to live permanently. Last year I brought this little trolley, the bonus is my largest
machine now has a home of it's very own and can be freely wheeled around the room..

The down side is it hasn't brought anymore love to the die cutting table
from me but I sure do enjoy wheeling that trolley around!!

Look what the lovely Angela sent me on Friday, two fabulous hand painted rocks.

As Angela leaves these in random places for people to find I'd commented on how i'd love
to find one of those pumpkins and Angela kindly offered to send me one, what a wonderful
surprise to find not only the pumpkin but also one of her fabulous Dragon Eye stones too..
Thank you again Angela, they were so sweetly wrapped in your handcrafted paper.

The rock above is one I made at school well over 40 years ago hee hee..

and finally i'm sharing my self indulgent purchase this week
from Tilly Tea Dance wrapped beautifully by Jo (Twiglet) ..

I couldn't resist when I saw this, the Poppies reminded me of the adults with open arms
and the three daisy's like children.. Truly amazing detail from Maxine the creator and if
you have not seen her work you really do need to pop on over and check out her website

That's it from me today, I may be a little slow getting round as we have
friends and family visiting for the rest of the week before Hubby's next op..

Thank you again for your kind words they mean so much.

Creative Hugs
Tracey xx

Morning Tracey. I wish your hubby well with his next op. Hope all goes to plan, and on time! I saw the post from Julia - I do like die-cutting, but don't do loads in advance - I simply cut out what I need when I need it. Maxine's piece is beautiful - she is really gifted - can quite understand how you couldn't resist!!
Take care. God bless.

Sending lots of love for next week's procedure for hubby (for both of you).
I too have one of those pictures but mine has sheepsies on - do have a poppy picture but from Jo herself as I am a bit of a fan of poppies. Maxine does some beautiful work and I love daisies so I love your picture.
Think die-cutting will be the order of the day/week for my "C" cards which I have yet to start. A friend once showed me a great idea so I think I might have to use it this time.
Hugs and best wishes for the coming week

Happy WOYWW. Best wishes for your hubby and his next operation. I love your diecutting trolley. I never really got on with dies. Over the years I had a few different machines, but sensibly realised that I could get into real trouble with buying dies constantly (and the storage needed for them), so sold my collection a few years ago. I love the results, but too impatient to cope with getting the little fiddly bits out (and then resulting mess). I also tried out electronic cutting machines - the Silhouette Cameo and the Brother Scan n Cut. Both were fab, but in reality I don't do enough crafting to justify the expense, so now I only have a small embossing machine. The poppies/daisies are gorgeous. Ali x #12

Hi Tracey. Pleased you are enjoying the pebbles. I must say the one you did as a child is an absolute beauty and you now have the start of a real collection. I really like the trolley, it's a great idea and something worth thinking about, I'd be interested to know where you got it from? It's interesting that you're not keen on die cutting, I thought I would never do any but seem to have come round to it. Happy woyww, Angela x16x

Lovely post. Those little stones are gorgeous, including the one you made. Good idea with the trolley, I use an old one for all my paints and potions and can shove it out of sight when I don't need it. Hugs, Valerie

Hope all goes smoothly for your hubby and his op....he'll be like new after this, mine hadn't realised how tired he'd got until things had been fixed. We all have things we hate doing, you and the die cutting and me with ironing fusible fleece onto the back of fabric before projects get cut out. It's SO tedious!!

Tracey,
I do love that cart and may I ask what kind of machine you have? Is that a big kick? I think I would like the larger one as I really do not like cutting with the small thing I have.
I am thinking and praying for your husband,as i know how scary the whole thing is. My youngest sister,45 , was rushed into surgery last week and had a stent put in the back of her neck. She complained of severe headaches for days and the dr.s and emergency rooms told her it was sinusitis. Finally after three other opinions, one Dr. said something is not right, and after they did another ctscan and mri, they rushed her in to surgery, she was that close from stroking out.
Life throws us these curve balls and we do the best we can;we are both very fortunate to have our love ones save and being cared for properly...Amen!

Huge hugs and lots of love to you my friend,Jackie xx

What beautiful gifts. Maxine's felt work is amazing isn't it? Love the trolley Tracey, perfect for all that die related storage. I find I use my die cutting machines more often when they are readily available. Thanks for visiting. Sarah #4

Hi Tracey, I hope all goes well for hubby's second stent operation. The felt picture is beautiful, Maxine's work is amazing. You did make me giggle on your trolley comments - hasn't made you love die cutting, but you do love wheeling it around, hehe. Great looking trolley btw. Have a lovely week, hugs Heather, xx #13

First of all, best wishes to your husband, I hope it all goes well with the next op, that he recovers quickly.

I love your trolley, a great place to have your Big Shot! I think it is funny that we start out liking one thing and then 'move on'in our crafting. I started with die cutting after seeing a demo in a shop and didn't buy a stamp for a couple of years and now I am about 50/50.

Angela's stones are lovely, I really like the dragon eye and the one you did as a child is beautiful. Again, best wishes for your hubby's op. Hugs, Anne xxx

Best for hubby dear Tracey ! Had to laugh about the die cut and that even the new trolley brought the machine not nearer to your heart -lol! Fantastic mail and a wonderful painting my friend!
Fingers crossed for your hubby!

Oh Tracey, how I know what you mean. What transformed die cutting for me at least a little bit was splashing out on Tim's side kick, but of course it only cuts very small dies.
Love your poppy piece and will check out the link.... Happy rest of the week and all the best for hubby!

I hope you are having a wonderful time with your family and wishing your hubby all the best! I smiled about the die cutting machine and the trolley ...lol 😉. I didn't think I would use die cuts on my mixed mediq pages so it took me ages to get my machine. I've had it for nearly a year now and enjoy using die cuts but I'm fussy about spending money on dies and only tend to buy ones that I can use again and again 😀. Wow, your stones are fabulous and I love the pumpkin one, so kind of your friend! I'm loving your poppy piece too - beautiful 😀. Thinking of you, enjoy your week! J 😊 x

Hi Tracey, Did chuckle at you enjoying wheeling that trolley about:) LOL

The stones are fab. Isn't that great that you did a stone about 40 years ago.

Love the picture and yes it does look like the Poppies have their arms around the Daisies.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Happy WOYWW

Well, my machine is permanently on a small table to my right side, with all of the dies beneath, so it makes it easy to use. But I love using stamps much more! I love your trolley and at least it looks amazing even if it's seldome in use. ;0 LOL! Hugs, Autumn
