Beautiful Heart

Happy Heart day..

The heart beating around 100,000 times a day.
A symbol of love and life, it's such a precious thing..

Using this amazing stamp from Andy Skinner I dissected each
detailed area with precision and felt like a surgeon taking
time to put it all back together right where it belonged.

there's been a lot of affection put into these pages
built up with collage, stamps, stencils and paste
each day since the beginning of February.

Edged with inky drips, white spots and splatter i'm sharing
a little mixed media love with you all today...

Wishing you all happiness and health
and a super creative weekend.

Hugs Tracey xoxo

Before I forget to write it, thanks for linking up to both Art Journal Journey and Try It On Tuesday. And wow. You are so right about real hearts. They are absolutely amazing what they do for us, and I love how you added that to a heart shape and made such a fabulous page. The red really pops off that grey. Hope you are having a wonderful Valentine's Day. hugs-Erika

Ooh, lovely - this is fab, Tracey. I've been looking for a real heart image, so this is timely...and I've just ordered it!
You've really done the image justice with your beautifully textured and lightly coloured spread. The texture paste looks brilliant. Love the fact that it's over text, which makes it so much more interesting.
Making the heart 3D just adds to the effect and shows that amazing muscle that we so often take for granted in all its glory. Reality isn't always as aesthetically pleasing as we would like. It's an amazing feat of engineering!
Wonderful, wonderful spread. Thank you so much for sharing it with us at Try it on Tuesday. It was well worth the time and effort you put into it ;-)

After I saw your last heart on a tag, it got me searching for something similar. Mine won't be a stamp, though. Even though I haven't started it, mine will never look as beautiful as yours. This is one simply amazing and well done journal spread, Tracey. You have created a genuine beauty and one with real heart (no pun intended). Thanks for sharing this with us and inspiring me with your spread at Art Journal Journey using my Hearts theme.

Tracey this is stunning. I love this piece of health art. The details and the depth of this. I could see this hanging in a doctors office. Brilliant. Have a wonderful weekend.

For some reason I decided to have a rummage through Art Journal Journey again and spied your name. Am I glad I did. What a fabulous page in your journal. (I like the opposite page too.) I would never have thought of using that real heart like that but it is perfect and what a wonderful job you made of it in its dimensional form.
True talent.
