First Friday of the month means a new arty challenge
our theme is always Anything Mixed Media Goes
My Design Team Project is another homage to the beauty of nature
Inspired by the Brown Hawker Dragonflies that dart at speed from
my local canal to the nature reserve this time of year, I made
use of a winged brooch in need of a body transforming it with
extra gem stones, wire and paint to a dragonfly.
Resting peacefully on scrap fabric framed by a wooden medallion.
The journal background is created from torn collaged papers,
stamped and stencilled with the addition of washi tape, gems
and lace with of course some stitchery detail...
Always fun to create using a mix of media..

This is gorgeous Tracey - I love those pastel colours behind the dragonfly. I'm a bit squeamish when it comes to flying insects but your dragonfly is beautiful.
Absolutely fabulous journal page, love the collage background, texture and absolutely beautiful Dragonfly-we had two beautiful ones mating over our small pond-in an after-noon too lol. That is a fabulous dragonfly Tracey. I love those wings. And the beads too of course. What a lovely journal cover you created. Is it for your September journal?
